I'm not seeing enough reviews about the wings! The wings were SO good. They're so smoky and crispy. We also got 4 huge wings for $12 and still had leftovers. Can't complain about the prices at all. There are several things I want to try on the menu. They were busy, but our server Gage was super kind and accommodating. My only con is that it's a little crowded. Can't wait to go back! read more

Kind of a high end dive. Definitely pricey, but I had some fantastic burnt ends. The drinks were ok. Didn't know reservations are highly recommended, but they are! The menu is creative but approachable American food. read more

Another favorite place to eat that never disappoints! We always have had great food & good service here read more

We came to Blackstone on a whim and we're very glad we did. We got the charcuterie as an appetizer which had some amazing meats on it. We also got the Wagyu burnt ends with vegetables and the chicken and waffles. The chicken waffles were amazing. The chicken was really really good, and the waffles were smothered and syrup and had pearl sugar in them which gave it a fun crunch. We hope to be back soon to try some other fun stuff on the menu. read more

Christmas Eve dinner was on point. For appetizer can't go wrong ordering the poutine fries. We also tried the Gouda fondue served with fried naan that was absolutely amazing! For dinner we shared the burnt ends. One of ordered with a gratin potato's and one of ordered with macaroni and cheese.so we could all try both. Very filling and delicious! read more

We had a lovely evening with our little girls at this tasty eatery! Although the dining area had a draft and that made it a lil chilly... from the door being opened frequently, although I do love that a local place is getting lots of love! We had a variety of dishes that we all enjoyed, and our server was great. He checked in frequently enough but not too often, and our drinks were never empty. Were I to find myself in Joplin for any reason, I'd eat here again for sure and I would recommend it even if you're stopping through. read more

Was there for about 2 hours and never got our food. At like the 45 minute mark we literally asked if we were ever gonna get our food and the waiter said it would be right out and still never got it. Never experienced anything quite like this. Just ended up having apps which were good but never even got to eat what we really wanted. Huge disappointment 0/10 stars avoid at all costs read more

AMAZING! pork nachos app as a meal. Best food I have had in a while. Speedy service and great ambiance. Will visit again on next trip.

Service was great today! Chicken wings awesome as were the mussels! Really great decor! Fun place!

Ordered the margaritas flight (strawberry, original, pineapple and watermelon). They were all delicious. Had the cajun-rubbed wings with a side of home-cut fries. Had to take some home. Our waiter, Gadge, was very attentive and made some wonderful suggestions on our food and drink. If you haven't already, give this place a shot. read more

All that hoopla for nothing. My party of seven was told it would be one and half hour wait because we didn't make a reservation in advance. With many empty tables and long wait, we weren't going to waste time. We were getting in our cars and a server rushed our party out to car and sat us in five minutes. The manager took orders and was very nice, courteous and patient with our ordering. Being an Asian I get a lot of cold shoulders at restaurants where it's predominantly whites. Certainly this would have been the case but I have a change of mind. The service was good. Though chili was way too salty and spicy for my taste. Even my daughter in law and my hubby didn't like it. I ordered a bowl but could not finish eating it. The atmosphere is typical but hip with happening music. The manager was busy bartender and running around delivering food as well. They've got TVS mounted on the walls to entertain while waiting for food if you are alone at the bar. read more

I love coming to place when I get a chance. Recently got back home from Alabama and this was my first choice. I had their burger of the month. I let Mrs. K. do the searching for tonight's dinner and it was a winner. She picked Blackstone to have dinner with our daughter and her roommate. We were warmly welcomed and brought to a table. Our waiter was attentive at taking orders, answering questions and refilling drinks. We started with the charcuterie tray which was a nice mix of cheeses and meats and pickles. Plenty for the carnivores and the vegetarians at the table. My wife had the fish and chips. A big portion of crispy fish and half of it came home. I chose the brisket burger which was a big patty and a thick slice of brisket, upgrading to the mac & cheese for a side. With the big appetizer, half of this also came home and was the next day's lunch. Blackstone has a nice selection of beers and other drinks. We had no trouble picking some delightful frosty adult beverages and enjoyed our evening here. Great service, not too expensive, a lovely meal. I'd return to Blackstone Gastropub! This place deserves more than a 5 star rating for service and food! Took my wife here for date night and being new to town this place rocked our world. It was busy, had great decor on the walls and our bartender was spectacular!! Wife and I got their Fried Brussels for an appetizer and after one bite it was hard for us not to snarf it all down. We both got the Meat Sweats for our entree, I got the "hangry" version (larger portions) and once again we were mesmerized by the amazing flavors of this dish! Candied pork belly in mac and cheese FTW! I will definitely be back soon! read more

Wow! Wow! Wow! What an amazing surprise. The outside doesn't look like much but the interior was super clean and fun. Staff was all super nice and welcoming. We were traveling through Joplin and stopped here for lunch based on Yelp reviews and shame on me for not taking more pics of our food! Presentation was perfect and made me think I was some place way more expensive. Levi was our server and he was great, funny, a good salesman, and all his recommendations were on point. We had the salmon, Ozark Sandwich and the Siracha Smash Burger. All had great combinations of flavor and were well balanced. I wish this was closer to home become we'd be a regular here! p.s. grab some pork rinds they are a great treat! read more

Just... okay. Nothing spectacular. Definitely nothing to write home about. If you're in the mood for decent bar food, and have low expectations - this is your place. The Mac and cheese with fried chicken had more fried onions than anything else on it. When you order a beer, don't expect a cold frozen glass. read more

This could be five stars, but I'll wait to give it 5 until I return. I sat at the bar and the bartender was engaging, fun, and very attentive. The Nashville hot mac and cheese (not on the menu but offered as a special) was excellent, and the bacon vinaigrette was good as well. I visit Joplin about 2-3 times a year for work, and I'll definitely be back and update accordingly. read more

The "manager" came outside and yelled at a table near us because they sent their drink back. It was insane! I have never seen anything like it. We asked the server and he said she is friends with the owner/kind of a part owner. Everyone on the patio started talking about how crazy it was. I went inside to use the restroom and she started talking bad about me to the other bartender because I didn't want to use the men's bathroom. The whole time I was in the restroom I could hear her. She was insanely rude. read more

Food is some of the best in town! Get the pork belly! Also I dream about their chicken and waffles

This place gets a lot of hype, and honestly, it's pretty good. Smashburger is legit. The problem is this place is just not the place to go in the summer. It has a small little wall AC unit that in no way comes close to keeping up with demand, even if you're the only one there. Get a room full of people plus the kitchen going and it's uncomfortably hot. 4-5 stars for the food. 2 stars for the summer vibe. read more

Blackstone Gastropub in Joplin, been there a few times. However tonight the waiter had excellent service however, we ordered a drink that was not so great. We politely if they could try to adjust the drink. When it came back it basically tasted the same... this time we sent it back and asked for it to be taken off the ticket. The waiter obliged us. The next thing we know some lady named Maddi came out and very rudely asked why we sent it back. Priscilla was trying to answer and Maddi cut her off mid sentence and said she basically didnt have time to listen. The waiter apologized for the bartender who claimed to be an owner of the establishment. I asked to talk to the manager. The same lady Maddi came out and wanted to know what the issue was. Once again we were met with same rude, loud outburst. This happened in front of a full patio of about 14 people including students, couples and people who saw the first outburst and left, who were from out of town. Stating they would not be coming back. Anyways... just my thoughts... the worst interaction with an owner/bartender ever. read more

Okay, so Gadge was the BEST we have ever had!! He anticipated everything we needed(even down to the drink that paired well with my meal)! We tried a flight (one of several to choose from), and we are blown away!! We came once before, but are DEFINITELY coming back and hoping he is the one taking care of us!! This is the most unique dining experience and such a great menu... it's a 10/10 for me!! read more

We were driving through St. Louis and decided to stop by! It was my first time having poutine fries and they were amazing! Favorite thing on the menu. Great place to eat in Joplin, MO. Try the Charcuterie or the High Roller. They have a great Smokey Old Fashioned as well.

MUST VISIT!! Everything was fantastic. Call ahead for seating because it's a local favorite. We were passing through and took a chance and was not disappointed. We had the recommend dishes. Poutine appetizer, BLT and Fried Chicken Sandwich. The sides were the fried Brussels and homemade pork rinds. Service was outstanding fast and friendly. Took a chance while driving through and we've had to revisit since. I can't even recall what else we ordered because the gnocchi is all I can remember. It's only a side dish but it's that memorable. It's served with a pesto Parmesan cream that we've tried without luck to recreate at home. Also the pops of goat cheese were the best addition. Pretty sure we got a burger and the poutine, which was also very good. read more
