Local hidden gem! I live in the area and heard MaBella was good via word of mouth. I finally got the opportunity this evening to go for dinner here with my family. Being Fall, I enjoyed the butter nut squash ravioli. It was hard to tell if it was frozen, but the yummy cinnamon and light sauce made it delicious. My husband enjoyed veal chop parm and he said it was really good. Desert was mediocre and the service decent. I will give this restaurant another shot and try their shrimp parm. This place was good. Had the chicken scarp which wasn't anything special. The chicken bisentino however was pretty good wrapped in prosciutto! For dessert, the cannolis were nothing special. Disappointed. I ordered chicken milanese on Sunday and took it out. It was thin and so overcooked and dry. I could barely cut it with a knife. Also, I ordered meatballs. They were terrible. On the other hand, the chicken parmigiana was very good. Hence, that's why I gave it 2 stars. For all the great reviews this restaurant has, I wouldn't expect anything to be that bad. read more

I came for lunch with my husband and children. I'm glad I came. Great service and excellently made Italian dishes. I got the seafood over spaghetti with red sauce, and cannoli for dessert. There were no weak links. Our server Nicole was super helpful, friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend to others and will be coming back. read more

I stopped eating here about 4years ago after three not so great meals. I stopped in we and had chicken cutlet over a salad, spaghetti and chicken strips. The meals were delicious and so was the bread basket. Happy to say they're back on my list. I loved coming to this hometown restaurant. read more

Came in on a Wednesday night. Was seated right away. Ordered the calamari appetizer, it was very good. I got the eggplant parmigiana, which I usually don't get unless I'm sure but this restaurant has good reviews. Not every place cooks it well. My husband got the spaghetti and meatballs, sauce on the side since he does not like a lot of tomato sauce. The eggplant was perfect and plentiful with a side of spaghetti which did have a lot of sauce but the sauce tasted perfect, not too sweet not salty . They had tiramisu which was a nice size slice that he and I shared, just delicious. Will go again and would recommend. read more

We found this gem of a restaurant a few weeks ago and now we are regulars. This is our new favorite restaurant. The owners Frank and Maria are always present, friendly, walk around and greet guests. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and the restaurant is charming. The food is excellent, fresh and delIcious. I most love the meatballs, all pastas, the Margherita pizza. Was driving by, as you may know by now Italian food is my favorite, and I saw the awning with MaBella. I never knew this restaurant was there and found out they opened in September of 2016. I checked the Yelp reviews and saw the high ratings and immediately made a U turn. The restaurant is very nice with a full bar, large screen TV, and the waitstaff very friendly. We ordered veal Milanese & veal Parmigiana both very good but tasted like I just ordered from a pizzeria. I felt as I was eating in a restaurant portion of a pizzeria. Tomato sauce was too acidic for my taste and the veal wasn't fork tender. Prices are very reasonable and they have daily specials, but this is no way a fine dining experience, I should have realized since there weren't any table clothes. Still a decent restaurant and I would go back to try other dishes. read more

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat the other day. Was running errands and decided to have quick salad. I stopped in and sat at the bar. Ordered a bottle of water, from the very pleasant bartender. Ordered a arugula salad with grilled chicken. The arugula was dressed in olive oil and lemon and the chicken was organic. This place was unbelievably awesome. Went here with my family for my mother's birthday tonight. The food, service and atmosphere was perfect. Server, Joseph was extremely attentive and a great waiter. Food was delicious and well portioned. Everyone's came out HOT! Joseph realized it was my moms birthday and took it upon himself (and staff) to sing. (He also knew to ask if we wanted the soup out with the meal instead of first since it was for my sons dinner). My son had a little incident at the end of the dinner that we felt really bad about but everyone was very nice and caring, and made sure everything was ok. Lg portions of mediocre food. The buratta appetizer was good but the Branzino was awful - may have been chicken. It was tough, thick, overcooked, greasy and nothing like it should have been. Branzino is a thin, delicate fish. This was something from another planet! read more

We've been going to this restaurant for years now. Every meal is consistently delicious. The owner is an absolute doll. In fact, just this past weekend my husband and I decided to make a last minute reservation. She squeezed us in but when we got there, we had to wait quite a while for our table. We didn't complain because we knew she was doing us the favor of squeezing us in. To our surprise, she took money off of our bill for the long wait which was very much appreciated. Charming little Italian place in a strip center, where we had a yummy dinner with friends. I had made a reservation for a Saturday night, which was a good idea since the place isn't that big and they were super busy. When we arrived, a bit earlier than our friends, we took advantage of a seat at the bar and enjoyed a cocktail. The bartender was so nice and seemed to know many of the patrons on a first name basis. I could see how this would be a great neighborhood place to frequent. The vibe was definitely comfortable and almost like being at a friends place. Love that! When our friends arrived, we were seated quickly. Service was prompt and friendly and everyone enjoyed the appetizers we ordered. Both the fried calamari and the Mozzarella and Tomato appetizer were delicious. Everyones' main courses were also a hit, we had ordered items such as the Eggplant Parm and the Penne Alla Vodka which were solid classics. We decided to finish our meals with a few desserts and I ordered something I'd never tried before, The Affogato, shot of espresso poured over ice cream topped w/ chopped hazelnuts. Wow! An unusual dessert but really good. I'm glad I tried something new! I would definitely recommend MaBella when in the Commack area for a delicious meal and a great experience. read more

My father in law passed and due to family had to find a last minute restaurant to accommodate 12 people on one day notice. I called and without hesitation they said of course they could do it. They even opened a half hour early so we didn't have to wait around after the funeral for them to open. The staff immediately expressed their condolences and were super attentive to all of our needs.
