Super friendly staff. I was very pleased with portion sizes especially for the cost, which was quite reasonable. Pork chop was outstanding as were the apps. We had a large party and they did not miss a beat. read more

My sister and family hosted my bridal shower at MaBella and it was truly a perfect event! The food, as always, was unbelievable. My friends and family still talk about the capellini cakes. Maria is the epitome of a gracious hostess, she made sure my guests and I had everything we needed, that our drinks were always full, and she is always just a warm person to be around. It's a beautiful, family-owned restaurant and the care and pride they put into it definitely shines through the food and the atmosphere. read more

BAPTISM DINNER - This was my first time eating here, I took a chance booking without trying the food first and I hit the LOTTERY! :) We just recently had our Baby's Baptism dinner with our immediate family there and everything was amazing.... the food was delicious, the service was great and the owners were very attentive. I would definitely go back! I also have a place I can trust that would do an amazing job if I need to cater for any party's too. Thank you for such a wonderful experience MaBella :) The Lucia's read more

I went to order some takeout from my local Italian restaurant the other night and was told the wait would be over an hour. So instead, I called Mabella which I've gone to several times in the past. Even though it was farther and a couple more dollars, the food was ready when promised and the rigatoni Bolognese was absolutely outstanding. Thank you for making a great Saturday night dinner. read more

This was one of the absolute best nights out we have had! Everything was exceptional. Everyone was praising the restaurant and wants to return. We came in for a late lunch and everything was wonderful! Drinks were lovely, service was on point, food was soooo good. We had the mussels which were cooked perfectly and not fishy, ordered the veal- so tender; eggplant rollatini tasted delicious, and the pasta was perfectly all dente. We ordered the cannolis for dessert and not surprised they had a crispy shell, sweet and delicious. We will definitely be back for more! Thanks Mabella for an excellent lunch date read more

I stumbled on this place with my sister-in-law on our way from Long Island after a miserable day of shopping at the outlets (lol) we were pleasantly surprised how much we loved this place. We were worried that we were a little underdressed by the looks of the place but it was very family oriented and after a few minutes were at ease. We were surrounded by fellow patrons with huge bowls of pasta - we knew were in the right place. We shared an order of calamari which was pretty delicious. Then we shared the mushroom risotto and a chicken Florentine dish. Hopefully we can come back here again one day and share a couple more glasses of wine read more

Well we couldn't have been happier with the service, food and prices. We had the capellini cakes and eggplant rollatini for apps, both were delish! Shrimp Parm and fra diovalo which was nice and spicy. Too bad I'm not from around here cause this is a great place! I def recommending trying. read more

Tried for first time tonight. Really great. Shared a few apps and salads, all good. Ordered some specials and menu items. Uso Bucco and White Zuppa De Pesce were both outrageously good. Cocktails were nice as well. Glad to have a relaxed place so local with such wonderful food. Be back soon. read more

The food tasted great. Unfortunately both myself and a coworker got food poisoning. Most likely from the mozzarella and tomato...

Our first time and it definitely won't be our last ! MaBella mule delicious. Hot antipast and the veal Marsala and also their tomato sauce are so spot on, just thinking of it again I want to go back to order more dishes. The service was impeccable and even though it was a Saturday night I didn't feel rushed although every table was full. That's very important to me. I go out to dinner for the experience - not just the food and both were great! Thank you MaBella for a lovely evening of great food and drinks and the opportunity to share good times with loved ones ! We will be back! read more

Best chicken scarpariello around, had a variety of amazing dishes for a family dinner and everything was delicious

MaBella has become our local go to spot. My kids love it. The organic chicken on the menu appeals to my wife's desire for healthier ingredients while eating out, and I usually enjoy whatever fish special is on the menu. The thin crusts pizzas are a tasty way to start. The soups are always fantastic, and the service is great too. The waiters recognize my kids and have memorized their orders by now. We hope to be eating their regularly for years to come read more

MaBella is a pleasant comfortable cordial and above average pasta place with good service.

Met a girlfriend at Mabella last night. As other reviewers said Commack is already saturated with Italian restaurants but this one is worth the trip and a different experience than the rest. When you walk in the door you instantly feel like part of the family. Warm and cozy atmosphere with perfect lighting and vibe. Sean behind the bar greets you with a warm smile and Frank the owner/chef is at hand to say hello. We ordered the calamari arrabiatta and one of the chicken dishes. Food was excellent, good flavor, good quality, good portions...and did I mention great wine? Will definitely be back! read more

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Commack. My family and I went here for lunch last week and had a fabulous meal. We were greeted warmly buy the husband and wife who own the restaurant. Frank and Marie. Two very warm people. Frank used to be a chef/owner of the popular Huntington italian restaurant Sal D's. Frank headed to the kitchen and Marie sat us at our table. They brought us out crispy warm italian bread and a wonderfully spiced garlic infused oil to dip in. (great way to start) We ordered the minestrone soup and the Garden salad for appetizer. The minestrone soup was terrific. The vegetables were fresh and a perfect consistency - what a great soup! The garden salad was great as well. For the main course I ordered a ceasar salad with grilled shrimp. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the ceasar salad dressing was really good! My mother and brother both ordered the sole. (one francaise and one oreganota). Frank told us that every morning before he drives to Commack he stops at the local fish store in his hometown of Huntington to hand pick each fish he prepares that day. It shows!!!! My mother and brother said that the fish was delicious. My father order the meatball parm hero. He said the meatballs were a great consistency and really good! We had a great meal and will definitely be coming back. What a warm place, warm people and great food!!!! read more

Absolutely our go to restaurant in Commack. We dine here at least once a month, sometimes once a week. The food is over the top delicious, as well as consistent. Owners Frank and Maria are hospitality experts who treat all guests like family. We are grateful to have such exquisite dining within such close proximity to our home, but if we ever move MaBella would be worth the drive. If you're ever in Commack, check them out- you will not regret it. Our favorites/staples are the penne alla vodka, chicken parmesan ordered fra diavolo, and the mabella salad. read more

I've gotten take-out from MaBella several times over the last two months. I'm usually a straight eggplant parm woman (it's delicious here!!). But I was persuaded by a friend also doing take-out to try the lobster ravioli. It was phenomenal. I have also tried, and loved, spaghetti with clam sauce and a daily special, salmon oreganata. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and I'm really glad to have found this restaurant gem. Try this restaurant. You won't be sorry! read more
