The food, service and ambiance are exceptional at Manninos! The commack location is very modern, always decorated beautifully and has a huge bar on the main level with a second smaller bar upstairs. They are always packed so I recommend making a reservation. But the food is well worth the wait. I always love getting the spicy rigatoni vodka but recently, I tried the Pollo Mannino and it was incredible as expected. The dessert options are also incredible. My personal favorite is the blueberry cake and gelato but most recently when I went they had a special that was a peanut butter crunch cake, and that was to die for as well. One thing that I really love about this location is that the owner Joe is always around. I don't think I've ever been there when he wasn't walking around and he's very hands-on. read more

Well the interior restaurant is beautiful, while I was waiting for my wife to arrive, the nice looking front bar area was cool. The menu seemed to be jumping all over the place. The prices are a little over the top, $85 for a stuffed veal chop? $30 for calamari?? I have tickets for a jazz show so I want to eat and bolt. I ordered a cocktail under the $16 cocktail menu, the Old Fashioned Mannino's. Nice starter cocktail for dinner. Here's where it went a little loopy. I ordered the Monkfish special. I love Monkfish but it was served in an egg coating. Really? It's like dipping a porterhouse in chocolate. The fish was good I wouldn't order it again. Would I come back? I would. The place is beautiful. The food is good . It's very expensive. That don't have a lot of famous Italian dishes . They have weekly specials . For two people no alcohol the price was $150 I think that's way too expensive for Italian food and you can't classic food so I'm disappointed. The food is good but not worth what they are charging . The service at the bar is always top notch and the eloquent manner in which specials are told, it's apparent that quality service is a priority. I have come here a few times. It's not great but it's not bad either. Last time I came here I got the seafood tower which was super fresh and tasty. Rigatoni Ala vodka with grilled chicken. They put meat sauce in my Ala vodka. If you make a mistake at least correct it don't just serve it anyways. I thought it tasted funny but I had a little to eat there and took the rest home. Next day heating it up I noticed all the bolognese they put in it. Grossed me out. Paid over 30 bucks for that too. Won't be going back there for at least a long while. What a night!! Excellent food..our waiter AMAZING & the decor & seating 10 at a round table PERFECTION!! We started off with delicious grilled pulpo salad,baby artichokes,fried calamari to name a few.The birthday boy had lobster risotto..pure deliciousness & all portions were huge.I had veal dore which was melt in your mouth veal accompanied by 2 francais pieces of shrimp.Another diner had Tuna Orientale perfectly cooked & quite a few had the Frutte de Mar. We usually are in Oakdale but they are renovating & couldn't accommodate our large party. Dessert was a creamy crème brûlée & warm donuts. Very impressed and enjoyed my dinner here last evening very much, and I'm happy I decided to come here to experience it because before coming here, I heard mixed reviews. The place is very elegant, nice decor, friendly staff, very upscale. Clientele all dressed in suits and business attire, so dress for the Occassion of dining here. Valet parking was efficient and took care of us immeditately. Our table was ready promptly at the time of our reservation as well. Our waitress was very attentive and knowledgable about the menu, and she was able to take care of us with whatever we needed even if she had a full section of tables. Great job, The food also was delicious. The Cesar Salad was fresh and got rave reviews. The Salmon also was well cooked with a perfect amount of sauce. The pepperoni pizza was also delicious. I got the Ahi Tuna and it was a very generous portion and also really enjoyable. The best hit of the night was the Key Lime pie Ice cream, that was incredible. If they have it definetly get it. The Cannoli was average, that you can skip. The drinks also, well made. Dirty martini made perfectly, all enjoyed their beverages. Very pricey but very elegant. Dinner was 250 for 3 before tip. Valentine's Day 2025 was such a great experience here! Valet for the car, then we were seated promptly, waiting only to be checked in. Fresh Cesar salad - yumm, app of clams oreganata was delish. Dinner- the fiet tips with pasta was good (skip adding the parmesan cheese), and I had the stuffed veal cutlet which was amazing. Only disappointment was the mashed potatoes that came with my veal- flavorless and cold, but the meat was piping hot and huge. We took home half our portions. Asparagus was cooked well but plain. Top notch experience at Mannino's. The staff was very attentive and the food was amazing, especially the donuts! Now that is a must! Chicken was perfectly cooked, crispy and juicy and easy to cut. Went to the Commack location for my 40th anniversary dinner with my husband. We were seated upstairs, even though there was a party going on up there with screaming children. The waitress assured us they were leaving. We ordered appetizers, and within a short period, we were surrounded by three more tables, each with young children. Out came a large laptop propped up on one table with cartoons playing. Keep in mind there is a very nice quiet room downstairs with very few tables occupied. So, without ordering dessert, we decided to leave. On my way out, I had a conversation with the manager. A small man with a thick accent. He was useless. We were a party of 7 for a birthday dinner. Our waiter was super attentive and my water glass was consistently refilled, although our waitress kept reaching over me and my plate to do so. I recently visited for dinner with my wife and 2 other couples. We had a 6:45 reservation and they were running behind so we had to wait about 15 min. The place was very busy. Loud but expected. The waitress seemed rushed and not very pleasant. No real explanation of the menu or pleasant conversation. The drinks were average, beer served in the bottle and all took a long time to come. We were told to get all orders in together so timing could be better so we ordered apps and dinner at the same time. Turns out it didn't matter. The apps took long but the dinner took even longer. I had to inquire several times with the manager and random wait staff. Our waitress disappeared for extended periods of time. We were told they ran out of family style plates at one point so we had to use regular ones. Very odd. They acknowledged the wait time several times but offered nothing in way of compensation. We did not order desert because it took 3 hours to get our food so we did not want to waste more time. Food tasted good but nothing to warrant this experience was worth enduring. There was live music with a saxophone player close by that added to the good vibes around us . I was torn between the spicy rigatoni and the chicken parm, and asked our server if I can substitute the spicy sauce and rigatoni instead of spaghetti. I couldn't find anything wrong! It is Valet parking and, you can hang your jacket if you want. We went upstairs to sit and eat. They do have seating outside on their deck. You start off with warm bread and olive oil. It was delicious and we could have easily dipped the bread into everything we ate. We then started with fried calamari, which the batter was so light and the seafood so fresh. We had the gnocchi, it was perfectly made and the cream was so creamy! We could not finish and we had to take it home. The shrimp oreganta was also soo delicious. The breading and spinach was delicious to eat. The table does have come with a side of potatoes, we did not try them but they were delicious. We ended things off with a light crème brûlée. We loved the presentation, make sure you have your phone ready. They do make mocktail options in case you need one. We ordered a pizza to go and our baby sitter said it was delicious! I have dining outdoors, on both floors, and at the oval circular bar on the first floor. My favorite place to dine when with friends is the bar, mostly because it is very cozy, and intimate. Mannino's has a traditional Italian menu with a wonderful selection of Italian pasta classics, fresh seafood dishes, veal chops, and aged steaks which I had the pleasure to enjoy most of these popular dishes on my many dining experiences at Mannino's.
