Celebrated my birthday with family at Tellers tonight. My brother raved about this place and I totally see why. The staff was very friendly and courteous from the moment we entered the building. Our server was very patient and informative. I don't recall his name but he was tatted and handsome! All of the apps we ordered were delish. The crab cake and blue joint oysters were the stars for me. My wagyu filet was a perfect hot pink medium! My family also enjoyed all of the entrees and sides. Cheers to the bartender for a perfect creamy espresso martini. Thank u Tellers for a great experience!

I just came for a Sunday evening solo date night. Service and ambiance were top tier. I will be back

One of my favorite spots for steak on the island! The food is always delicious, and the steak is juicy (I love a medium steak)! Their calamari is really good and well battered. I popped by for lunch and it was quiet. Dinner can get a bit busier. Service is prompt and food is delicious!

I came here for a birthday celebration and had an amazing time. The atmosphere was great with a sophisticated vibe on the inside. The staff were friendly, they checked on us throughout our meal and were very pleasant to speak to. The food was great, the oysters were fresh, the mac and cheese had a good ratio, and the steak was perfectly cooked and juicy. It was on overall great experience and will definitely be coming back.

2/21/22. Great cocktail party (open bar) at Tellers Next Door. Apps were passed around (favorites were the tellers sliders, mini filet mignon wellingtons and shrimp/lobster wontons) along with 4 cocktail stations (antipasto, carving, Italian and Mediterranean) and a churro dessert station. Enjoyed the filet mignon, turkey, truffle gnocchi, meatballs, falafels, hummus and whipped feta. There were so many choices and everything was presented nicely. The one minor complaint I have is that the ice cream had no flavor. I would expect better quality from this higher end establishment. Also it was odd there wasn't any creamed spinach or mashed potatoes considering it's a steakhouse . Service was friendly and on point.

An upscale steakhouse that will treat you well and have you walking out feeling stuffed! This is the perfect spot for a date night or special occasion, or maybe you want to take advantage of the amazing lunch specials. We came for dinner, and our waiter was great. He tended to our party of six, catered to allergies and adjustments. The meat was cooked to perfection - every one of our dishes! Nothing bad to say - this was a great first experience, and I'm definitely looking to come back for lunch or a cocktail. This is ranked as a must-visit Long Island steakhouse in my book!

Intimate!! Very beautiful and intimate dinning experience. The food was delicious and steak was cooked to the perfect temperatures. We came here the day before Valentine's Day to avoid the crowds on the actual day and it was well worth it! The staff here is extremely friendly and attentive! This is our third time here and we will absolutely be back!

This was by far one of the best steaks I've ever had -- cooked to absolute perfection. The shrimp and lobster wontons were packed with flavor, and while the crème brûlée was just okay, the banana cream pie was outstanding -- definitely a must-try if you stop by. I also opted for the wine pairing with my meal, which I'd highly recommend. The service was excellent; our server checked on us frequently and made sure everything was perfect. This spot is definitely on the higher-end side, so dress to impress, casual wear not recommended.

I have heard good things about this restaurant but it was my first time going this week during Restaurant Week (a great way to try different items). First off, the restaurant has a great upscale environment. For the meal, I had the shrimp/lobster wontons, the Filet Wellington and the chocolate sauced strawberries for dessert. I loved the Wellington! So delicious and cooked perfectly medium rare. The wontons were good too. We also got the scalloped Parmesan potato side, duck fries and banana pie. The potatoes were a bit undercooked but flavor was good. DEFINITELY get the banana pie it was 10/10! I also opted for the wine pairing with each dish and I highly recommend it. The pours were generous lol. Service was also good with the food coming out in a timely manner. Definitely will be back again!

Came here and had dinner at the bar, I wasn't very hungry so I split a burger with my boyfriend, they were kind enough to serve it in half for the both of us. I also had the shrimp and lobster wontons. The food was delicious. I've had other dishes from the menu before but I wanted to try something new, and of course I was not disappointed. I almost forgot to mention the dessert and the oysters! Also very delicious.

Tellers is one of my favorite places on Long Island! It's a beautiful steakhouse that used to be an old bank (hence the name, Tellers!) I've been here plenty of times for lunch and dinner but decided to try their new brunch menu this weekend. The meal started with complimentary cinnamon roll which was delicious. The texture was more danish/croissant-like than a traditional cinnamon roll but it was warm and fresh and served with an extra side of cream cheese frosting which was PERFECTLY sweet and tart. For mains, I got the short rib egg dish and my fiance got the biscuits and gravy. We also got a side of potatoes. Our mains were fantastic. The biscuits and gravy could've been warmer but I know it's very hard to keep that dish at the appropriate temperature. The short rib was cooked and seasoned perfectly! The home fries were unfortunately undercooked. We contemplated not telling the waiter about it but given brunch is a new offering and they are still working out the kinks, we decided to let the waitstaff know. The response was extremely polite, and the manager took the home fries off the bill. The service here was impeccable as always! I look forward to returning for brunch with friends and potentially taking advantage of their bottomless options.

One of my absolute favorite places to celebrate birthdays or any special occasion! The food is consistently delicious, and the service always exceeds expectations. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and truly makes every visit wonderful. I usually make a reservation, but even same-day bookings are often available, which is super convenient. I love coming here and often recommend it to friends and family. And the banana cream pie? Hands down the best thing I've ever tried--absolutely incredible! If you go, don't leave without ordering it.

We read a recent review where someone proclaimed the owner to be nasty & unfriendly (sure, I am paraphrasing). Those types of reviews are generally emotionally charged and written by plebs I find. More on that toward the end. Pulling up to a rather unassuming east end Long Island small shopping plaza drenched in rain; opening the door, you are taken back to a semi rustic and dim interior. Perfectly elegant in its bucolic charm- with nice lounge music playing. It is a sit where one likes atmosphere. This is meant with the utmost of respect and candour. We were greeted kindly by the proprietoress (Jacqueline), and handed pleasantly robust binders with the wine list and food. Deciding to treat this in the more European café type, we had glasses and charcuterie. I, the Sagrantino, and her the Kerner. Jacqueline was vocally pleased with our interesting choices. The night drew on, more wine ensued, more food, multiple conversations, and I completed reading through each page and wine choice...finding much to be recognised and appreciated (Kirwan, Moric, Georg Breuer to name but a few) At the end of the night, I asked Jacqueline to pick an appropriate nightcap. She not only delivered, but gave us a wonderful story including the provenance and her experiences - ultimately, the word genius came up more than once. To wit, there was nothing here but an exceptional experience with a like-minded wine enthusiast. I felt welcomed and in the frith of old kin. Nasty, belligerent, dullard atmosphere- indeed not. I'll start off by saying that my wife and I came here on a Friday at the beginning of the summer to actually sit and have dinner, which turned out to be quite a tasty treat. The interior of FIV has a somewhat rustic/beachy vibe that works well for its Bay Shore location and feels at home on Long Island. It's got a nice bar and a decent seating area where we pulled up a table and were helped by the staff who were friendly and attentive. Besides the importance of good feels from the workers, the food and drink is where it might matter most and Fire Island Vines doesn't fall short of doing this. With a somewhat Mediterranean/Greek/Italian direction to their foods you'll find some delicious dips (spicy feta, hummus), savory chicken skewers, and crispy pizzettes which was just about everything we ordered. There's much more than that here and of course plenty of chances to wine while you dine. I instead ventured to the house sangria which was delightful while the wife had a concocted mocktail she really enjoyed. And, therein lies the biggest hint to why FIV will mean a lot more to us in just a few months as my wife and I are expecting our first child and the baby shower is planned for right here within these walls. So far all planning has been fantastic and owner Angelo has been very kind and accommodating. We're looking forward to our full festivities, but for now I'll wrap things up by saying this spot will be holding a special place in our hearts and so I wanted it to be my 1,000th review on Yelp to be even more memorable. With all that in mind (and trying not to get too sentimental on Yelp!), check out Fire Island Vines for some weekend dinner or an event and be ready for some greatness.

Our server appeared to be new, but she was incredibly patient, friendly, and genuinely trying her best. She handled every question with kindness, and I truly appreciated her attitude throughout the meal. The manager also made a great first impression by greeting us shortly after we were seated and even taking our drink order himself. At that point, I honestly thought we were in for a great experience. Unfortunately, things slowly began to unravel. A few items I ordered to accompany one of our pizzas didn't come out with the pizza itself, so by the time everything finally arrived, the pizza had gone cold. While frustrating, mistakes happen, and I didn't make an issue out of it. The bigger misunderstanding involved another pizza I ordered. I was trying to order a white Grandma pie after seeing a calzone listed with the option to make it on a Grandma crust. When it arrived, it had red sauce. The manager explained that the menu description included "Grandma sauce," which referred to red sauce. I hadn't realized that, and once he explained it, I understood where the misunderstanding came from. To his credit, he immediately offered to remake the pizza, which I appreciated. At that point, I considered the issue resolved. Unfortunately, the conversation didn't end there. While discussing the original pizza, the manager explained that it had ricotta cheese on it. My initial reaction was that I hadn't noticed any ricotta, but after he explained it, I acknowledged that perhaps I had simply missed it. From my perspective, the misunderstanding had been cleared up and the conversation was over. Instead, he looked at me and said: "Maybe you don't know the difference between mozzarella and ricotta cheese." That comment completely changed the experience. There is a big difference between explaining a menu item and making a personal remark toward a customer. By that point, I wasn't arguing. I wasn't asking for anything additional. I had already accepted the explanation and acknowledged that perhaps I had simply missed the ricotta. Rather than leaving it there, the conversation became increasingly confrontational. When I explained that I found the comment disrespectful, instead of trying to de-escalate the situation, the manager continued defending it by insisting that I had argued earlier. At that point, the discussion was no longer about the pizza... it had become an unnecessary debate with a customer who had already accepted the explanation. That was the moment we decided to leave. Mistakes happen. Orders get mixed up. Menu descriptions can create misunderstandings. None of those things determine whether I return to a restaurant. What determines that is how those situations are handled. A manager sets the tone for the entire restaurant. Their responsibility isn't just to resolve problems... it's to make guests feel heard, respected, and welcome, even when there's a misunderstanding. Unfortunately, that's where this experience fell apart. The food has always been good, which is why I've returned in the past. What I'll remember from this visit isn't the pizza or the misunderstanding over the menu. It's being spoken to in a way that felt dismissive and belittling after I had already accepted the explanation. Hospitality isn't measured by how a restaurant performs when everything goes perfectly. It's measured by how it treats people when something doesn't. Unfortunately, that's the lasting impression this visit left with me.

Our server Les was incredible! You can tell when you have a great experienced waiter that is truly good at their job and love what they do! Pay him whatever he wants and never let him go! He truly made the dining experience above and beyond. I ordered the Sauvignon Blanc and he asked me if I wanted a glass or a bottle and I told him I couldn't drink a bottle because I had to drive home. He told me if I was gonna have two glasses. I was in a party of three and they had ordered the appetizer sandwich for the table which was gigantic! Both of the other guests love the sandwich, but I didn't try it because I do not like prosciutto. The truffle chips were fantastic; I'm still thinking about them and I didn't even know I liked truffle! I ate 90% of them. The portions are massive but in a good way because the food is exceptional! One guest was so full from the sandwich that she opted to not order an entrée I ordered the margarita flatbread and it had to be over a foot and a half long. I ended up taking half home and my husband ate it and said it was delicious as well. The other guest ordered the meatballs and I tasted them and they were quite delicious. By the time the meal was over we left with half a sandwich half a flatbread and some extra meatballs. For dessert: we got a llimoncello flute and I got the largest lemon beautifully presented with lemon sorbet! I told us I don't usually take pictures of my food, but this was photo worthy! The wine was one of my favorite Sauvignon Blanc that I've ever had in my life! We will definitely go back for the food and definitely will be purchasing the wine again! 4/5 food 10/5 for the service and ambience Thank you for a wonderful experience on a beautiful afternoon! Overall, ranking above five just due to the experience

Such a beautiful place. Don't recommend sitting outside in the heat tho lol. Amazing service…read more 4/5 lemonade slushie $11- sour & sweet, really good & hit so well in 96 degrees 4/5 sweet & spicy grilled calamari $40 - this was really good, I didn't mind the sweetness, which is a surprise, crunchy exterior with slightly chewy squid, comes with potato & Caesar salad. The potato was pretty good took. I didnt mind so much grass (lettuce) for once. The cheese on top of the lettuce is pretty salty but the creamy dressing balances it out. The spicy sauce on the side was way too spicy for me. 3/5 Bavarian pretzel $17- pretzel itself is standard, comes with honey mustard, spicy brown mustard, & mayo sriracha. I liked both of the mustards. 3/5 Meat & cheese board $59- didn't try the meat or bread but comes with grapes, cranberries, dates, olives & nuts. Everything I tried was decent.
