Millers ale house is great. Bunch of televisions so you can watch what ever Sportz event is on. Salmon was bitter,Mac and cheese was sweet and Cesar salad was salty. The wait to be seated was unusually long even though several tables were open, and once we were finally seated, the service felt rushed and inattentive. This place is very okay at most kind of reminds me of apple bees or chilis but I prefer chilis. The strawberry lemonade was pretty good but the zingers were a bit too saucy for me and spicy. The sauce had too much vinegar I think it was okay. My friend loved the burger so much he rated it a nine, which is really high. His rating level may be off due to his allergies. Anyway, it's hard to write this review. I could barely think because of all this heat entering my tongue. It's too spicy. I don't like it. It's my fault though. Met some friends at the Millers in Commack for some drinks following our golf game. Didn't have a reservation so decided to seat at the bar for a drink. Bartender was courteous and friendly and after a beer decided to have dinner but at a table. We were seated immediately and were served by Morgan. She truly made this a great experience, not only were we greeted warmly but Morgan pointed out and recommended the prime rib " special " that was tucked away in the menu and not easily seen. Morgan was extremely polite and friendly while interacting with our group throughout our stay. Morgan made some an appetizer suggestion of chicken wings ( on the bone was a better value ) with Korean sauce which were delicious. Morgan even accommodated my request to change the TV channel to the golf tournament which does not happen at other sport bars. Additionally Morgan pointed out the prime rib "special " that was not easily seen on the menu. Prime rib was a good choice along with the vegetable medley. Overall excellent experience from our waitress Morgan combined with a very good dinner. Will definitely be back again. read more

Millers used to be the spot to go to. I would frequent often with family and friends. Always had great experiences. After about a two year break, I went back today. I'm not really sure what happened, but everything was subpar and not up to the Miller's standards that I remember. My friend and I decided on splitting some appetizers; Bavarian pretzel, spinach dip and mozzarella sticks. The Bavarian pretzel was okay...the beer cheese was very thin...and not the typical thickness and fullness of a beer cheese. 2/5 Spinach dip was not cheesey and kind of bland. It also wasn't overly hot. Chips were extremely salty. 2/5 Mozzarella sticks were the only thing that was good. 4/5, due to them being served lukewarm. Water took a while to get a refill. It did not come until we were done with our meal. Our waiter dropped off our food and then we never saw him again. The menu also appeared to be extremely downsized from my last visit. So many favorites are no longer available. Millers, you are a distant memory of mine. I will leave you in the past. read more

This is what I received after ordering take out this Sunday. I couldn't believe this was actually conceived to be appropriate. I went back with my husband and spoke with the manager who offered to have it remade, only for the same portion of vegetable medley if you would call it that. The only difference was this portion size was placed in the container like the mash potatoes were. The portion size was enough for a 1 yr old . Never again! Greetings Yelpers, First time visiting Commack location. It was not very busy at the bar. Service was terrible partially due to only one bartender. We sat for 15 minutes waiting to be served, another 10 minutes for menus we asked for on initial greeting. Food was mediocre at best compared to Millers Lake Grove, then had to ask numerous times for the check as we were on time constrained. Every Monday Tuesday and Friday I come here from my job and these people are amazing. The entire team (esp Matt and Brittany) are possibly the best bartenders I've seen on Long Island, they always are fast and all are such amazing people. They make always have my drink ready and always want to converse with me as well as all other patrons in the establishment. Truly they are the greatest of all time, as a bartender myself I can say they will always be (and even when super busy) both still find the time to be super personable and kind and always have my drink ready. New (to me) place that satisfied the Mr.'s "Homesick for Ohio" blues. If you're looking for a sports bar/good spot to get a "nice cold one," (great local brew choices) and a relaxed, comfortable vibe, with plenty of TVs for catching just about anything sport-related you can imagine, this is your place!! Although it's sort of hidden at the far east end of the Target shopping center parking lot, it's worth searching out. Plenty of parking, ample seating in the main dining room/bar section. We sat in the "overflow" room, by the second bar, which was fine, except this room felt kind of musty/stuffy and could probably use a good airing out. The main room would have been my first choice. We were in for a late lunch (2pm) and were still able to order from their very reasonably priced lunch menu. Bob got the fish and chips and I had Cajun shrimp and grits with a side salad. Plenty of tempting "bar food" choices on the lunch and regular menus. The Mr. was happy with the good choice of local brews on draft. Good food, attentive service, plenty of room for large groups... I'm sure this place stays pretty busy during "prime time" hours, esp. during big games. If we lived in the area, I'm sure it would be in our regular rotation, sports event or not!! I had to tell them where there was another empty booth, although they were telling me I had to wait. Food was okay. Nothing special. I used to order Millers a lot. The fish sandwich and the fried shrimp always hit the spot and it's not too pricey. Unfortunately one time I ordered delivery at a friends and forgot to change my home address on the app. I noticed immediately and hit cancel but it wouldn't let me. Called the restaurant... they wouldn't cancel it bc it was through a third party. Called the third party and they called the restaurant but by that point it was too late. I basically gave Millers $60 for no reason and to this day it still irks me. These corporate places used to be so good with their guest services but that's changed a lot in recent years. We were seated right away and are waiter Kevin came over and took our orders for drinks, the drinks arrived promptly and my sangria was delicious and perfectly made. The food is your usual MJ's Outback or Chilis. Fantastic selection of beer, always have the UFC fights and the most relevant games. Never had a bad meal and always got it pretty quick, plus there isn't much of a wait. Whenever I go I always ask for Nicole she's great always keeps my cup full and very polite. Sadly we are regulars and have been experiencing a rapid decline in service. Today - 3 bartenders. Minimal customers. The bartender wrapping up his shift served us drinks; simply dipping glasses without a twist or scrub. My drink tasted like soap and my friends beer tasted 'off' only to find chunks of food stuck To the rim of the glass. We had to flag down another bartender to order ... too busy what appeared to be flirting with the other bartender. Never an ask about our food. Never an offer or ask for a second drink. The other few at the bar, all with empty glasses. Had to stack plates after 15 mins (as did the 2 next to us) and ask for a check. If the company actually cares... this is the date, this is the location. Arrived yesterday at opening time with an unannounced group of 13 and we were seated promptly. Nicole, our server, who was also bar-tending, did a great job. She took our drink and appetizer orders promptly, then came back to ask for our entree orders. And as always at Millers, the beer was ice cold. All the entrees came out together, and correct.
