It was delicious! It is pricey, but reasonable for a great steak. My husband and I got the Mabellas filet. I get medium rare, my husband likes medium. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. High quality cut of meat, it was very tender. Nice ambiance for a date, however, it is very garlicky. It tastes divine. It came with broccolini and mashed potatoes, both excellent. The setting is quaint, dim lighting, romantic. It's in a historical building/rustic charm feel. The service was on point. The waitress was kind and attentive. They have a wide selection of wine and cocktails. Great experience! I highly recommend this local gem. read more

Visited with friends. Popped in on a Friday night and was cheerfully seated. They weee busy so I was surprised. Started with the pan fried provolone and Norwegian salmon. Both were very good. The cheese dish was piping hot and seasoned exquisitely. The cold salmon was a nice contrast. I had the Ribeye. Cooked perfectly. The house wedge salad with the Gorgonzola dressing. Delicious. Friend No. 1 had the mushrooms ravioli. Very hood. Wry rich. Friend No. 2 had the large wedge salad ( like I had) But he added shrimp. Large and fire grilled. The only thing lacking was a bourbon selection. The menu they shared was outdated so we had to stare at the bar. With the allotments going on I didn't hold this too much against them. Great spot. read more

I came in with a friend and Tabitha was our server. She was amazing! It was my first time and Tabitha was very knowledgeable on the menu. She suggested the perfect items. We loved the mussels, wedge salad and our steaks were incredible. Would have loved to try the dessert but had no more room. Definitely recommend this place! They have something for everyone to enjoy, even if you're gluten intolerant or vegan. The chef is absolutely incredible!!!! read more

We really wanted to love this place! It was our anniversary. We had heard and read great reviews. We had reservations and they knew we were celebrating our anniversary. But, we were underwhelmed! Pros: welcomed and seated promptly, waitress was attentive, loved the building, the cheesecake was the best thing we ordered, my wedge salad with the Gorgonzola dressing was tasty. food presentation was nice. Cons: were seated by a door leading to a service area, lots of waitress traffic, noise level was such we had to yell at each other, husband's house salad was mediocre, my filet was way too salty, husband's filet was tough and chewy. Needless to say, we were disappointed and our first visit will likely be our last. For $100+ we expected more! We both felt we would have enjoyed Longhorn better. Maybe we just picked a bad night to go. read more

went on a date with my husband to Mabellas Midland. when I was reserving my table I chose Date. They wanted to seat us right to a table with 8 ppl and kids. Really? My food was great. They forgot my husband side disg which was bajed potato. Brought to him when he finished his neal. The potato tasted terrible. It was reheated at least once. 160$ for reheated pptato? Geeee.... we never going back. Ever. read more

Great food. Great service. We always eat there when we go skiing. Pizza was great. Pasta was great. We've liked everything we've tried.

It was awesome food and service. Ambience was perfect and the restaurant and the bathrooms were very clean!

Cool atmosphere and good service. Very busy - reservations recommended on weekends. People coming in were only able to sit at the bar. Bread was really good to start as was the house salad. We both enjoyed our entrees - Spicy Strozzapreti earned its spicy name. They allowed you to substitute the sides so I swapped brocollini (they were out of asparagus) with the pasta. The cheesecake looked so good but we just couldn't eat another bite. read more

We celebrated our 5th anniversary with friends tonight (Saturday, 10/5) and had an amazing meal! The braised short-rib is 100% 5 star! Sumptuous in taste, tender and juicy consistency. Simply one of the best meals we have ever had. Service was outstanding and the atmosphere was fantastic! Great meal, great night out and well worth the money!! One respectful request - Please, please keep the short-rib on the menu, or if it is seasonal. let it run till Easter! Gordo & Clare Columbus GA read more

Hayley was an amazing waitress - attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, & funny. Our party of four enjoyed our entrees: scallops were perfectly cooked, risotto was good, chicken parm was good, steaks were delicious! Almost didn't have room for dessert, until I saw "Olive Oil Cake". I've never had that, & I've always wanted to try it... so I did... & I'm glad I did! Honestly, don't think"OIL???" Think, "hint of lemon" - because that's really what you taste. Delicious. Our cocktails were perfect. Only negative: the complimentary garlic bread was tooooo greasy & not easy to cut or even eat (chewy); and, the proscuttio wrapped dates were waay over-cooked I'd go back & take friends. read more

This is my third time eating and Mabella and I can say I have never been disappointed! From the warm decor, amazing wait staff, well thought out menu - I have never left disappointed! Tonight I had the fried cheese appetizer which is not what you'd expect. The fried provolone comes in a skillet seasoned with garlic, oregano, evoo and served with grilled Italian bread. It is so amazing!! My entree was pepper crusted salmon with spinach and mashed potatoes. The standout was the salmon. Cooked and seasoned to perfection it was laid atop mashed potatoes and nicely cooked spinach. The dessert - CHEESECAKE! I am a cheesecake snob (coming from NYC) and I have to say this is the best cheesecake I have had. I got it with fresh strawberries and cream and it is so rich and delicious. The serving is enough for 2 people easily but I didn't share! If you're in Columbus Ga I highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed!! read more

We were seated fairly quickly, and the hostesses were very nice. The bartender was funny with a great personality. Everyone loved their food, and it's a great place to take pics. The cheesecake with caramel drizzle is the best. There is also a delicious free bread basket, which goes great with the fried cheese appetizer. read more

Good: Probably one of the top five best steaks ever. Was so good it melted in my mouth. The servers are proactive and work together to serve you. You will find them pitching in with each other's tables if they see something that needs to be done Bad: Our champagne glasses were really dirty and our bruschetta came out burnt. I wish I took a picture of the glasses they had smudges and food all over the rim of glass. It was gross, but not a big deal, just asked for more glasses. However, the server didn't apologize, but rather acted like I was being a diva to ask for a clean glass. If I gave customers filthy glasses I couldn't imagine now apologizing, but worse making them feel bad for asking for clean dish ware. read more

We each ordered the Rib-eye with 2 sides. The ribeye was delicious and perfectly cooked medium rare. The mashed potato was delicious as well. The other sides I tried were the spaghetti with sauce and the shaved brussels, which were ok. I'd go for a different side next time around. We also ordered cheesecake which was phenomenal, definitely a must try!! I would highly recommend Mabellas and would definitely come back. read more

went to dinner to celebrate a birthday and it was an experience our waitress came and introduced herself and take our drink order, a few folks in our group wanted the drink special but without alcohol. drinks were brought back and all who ordered were pleased. now here's where things started to get weird. the waitress told my in laws that she was going to stand next to them and speak loudly so that they could hear her. we were mortified. not only is that insulting, my in laws are not hard of hearing; the waitress was simply mumbling and speaking under her breath at times. even the youngest person in our group had trouble hearing her. now that my in laws have been insulted, on their birthday, we move to food and this is where my soul left my body. as i'm ordering my food the waitress begins coughing a very phlegm-y cough on me. like coughing so hard that her eyes began to water. coughing so hard that she had to step away to catch her breath. coughing so hard that she attempted to suppress the cough only for it to kick up again. this happened for many minutes and she said she caught "whatever's been going around" and "it's been 10 days" so she's "not contagious anymore" *stares in pandemic. stares in elderly in laws. stares in even if rona wasn't a thing, being coughed on is simply gross. stares in i've been a waitress and never went to work sick out of respect for the folks i was serving* anyhow... food comes, it looks good but i don't have an appetite at this point cause of the coughing episode. i took a few bites, boxed the rest, and after thinking more on it once home - tossed the box. the mocktail crew wanted another mocktail with their meal and we're informed that they can't have one because they aren't drinking alcohol (?) so the bartenders refused to make the drink, which i thought was weird. like, mocktails are a thing now ... so they got some other mocktail? y'all. idk. the whole experience was weird. i had high hopes but don't see myself going back, bummer because non chain restaurant options in this town are fairly limited. such a weird and uncomfortable experience on all fronts. read more

This place is one word: incredible! From the ambiance, to the food and customer service. Our server, Haley, was amazing. She suggested three dishes to us, as it was our first time visiting, and I chose the Wild mushroom ravioli and I am so glad I did. She also told us, Justin, makes the best peach margaritas and she was not kidding - he does! We had, mussels, scallops and Mabella's filet - equally delicious. However, the cheesecake was the best we've had. Add the cherries on top and I could eat it everyday. The portions were generous for the prices, especially that cheesecake slice! The only thing was my husband had a little trouble finding an alcoholic drink he loved but that is not something that would stop us from coming back to visit - he should have gotten himself a peach margarita, ha. Definitely make a reservation a week in advance if you want to eat at a decent time. We try to be home by 10, lol. read more

Mabella is a hit or miss. I keep wanting to give it another chance, but it's like playing Russian roulette. Pros: atmosphere, location, their filet mignons, mash potatoes + their grilled pineapple marg. Like I mentioned, I never know how I'm going to feel about my meal. My pineapple margarita was delicious-- and don't get me wrong I love a strong drink because it makes me feel like I got my moneys worth... BUT this moscow mule really tasted like vodka and ice. I was pretty upset because I thought the previous drink was so good! Their mushroom/gorgonzola ravioli was super delish if you're into heavy meals. Definitely a comfort meal. I ordered it with the filet mignon and it was really good! I ordered the Summer Pappardelle and immediately regretted the choice within the first bite. I tried to like it, but I think it would be best to just take it off the menu... OR maybe it was just the way it was cooked this one time. The pasta was overcooked and tasted like baby food. The flavors did not compliment each other, I took the majority of it to-go and I can't say I touched my leftovers... I still would take my family and friends here because of the atmosphere and hey--we're risk takers. Maybe we'll have a good time... we just have to find out! Haha. All jokes aside, a note to management and the kitchen: pay attention to detail and measurements. Hopefully it will manifest in a more consistent experience for the guests. read more

We stopped here during a road trip because we were impressed with the reviews and I am so glad we did! The restaurant is housed in a former Bell communications building and the architecture is charming and romantic! We didn't have a reservation and it was definitely busy but we were accommodated in the upstairs dining room relatively quickly (probably best to call ahead though). The food was delicious and the portions were generous. Luna, our waitress, provided great recommendations about what to order and spoke to us about the town and the origins of the restaurant. We will definitely come again if we're ever in Columbus! read more
