I highly recommend this spot to my friends & family that are locals in GP as well as to any out-of-towners passing through. I think it is worthwhile. There is a wait time during peak hours, but it is still pretty tame considering other wait times in Portland and other bigger Cities. Everytime I have eaten here, I've eaten on the outside patio. With my dog, Remy. And, it has been very accomadating, and there is good space between tables, to give some privacy between other dogs. When I was there, there were 4 dogs total, but they were all well behaved and seperated,so it was a non-issue. When you go there: YOU MUST ORDER A BLOODY MARY, with spicy salt, (if you like spice!) it has a lot of kick to it. But, it was really tasty! I haven't done a formal study, and collected data officially, but I think Ma Mosa's made the best bloody Mary I have ever had in my life! Also, I am hypocritical, because I usually "nag" my hubby when we go out to places to not get stuck in a rut, and to try new things, but so far everytime I've went there I've ordered the breakfast burrito!! So, I'm definitely a hypocrite, but it is yummy!! I will just have to go there more frequently and branch out and try other things. It is just a reason to go there more frequently! But, yeah like I mentioned earlier the Bloody Mary is legit, but they also make their own fresh-juices to make Mimosa's with. In addition, to great food that is in it's own class; their staff is very professional. They seem very experienced, as well as being really friendly and helpful! A respectable reputation... battered. They changed their beautiful buttermilk fried chicken batter to beer batter, which belongs on a piece of cod, at best. Why they changed what many believe to be their signature brunch dish, fried chicken and waffles, to something more akin to fish and chips is beyond me. Not even their ridiculously well-priced mimosa pitcher makes amends for such a travesty. Sure, their gravy and biscuits holds down the fortress well enough, but brunch will never be the same without that oh-so-crisp golden brown buttermilk batter - a royal robe for a juicy chicken breast atop a syrupy waffle throne. Stopped here while driving to CA from OR. We liked the fact that they had patio seating open and we could sit here for dine in with our little 10lb dog. The staff was very welcoming, polite and flexible. We ordered the latke tots which are an amazing appetizer. These are like the Indian pakoras, a must try at this restaurant. We also ordered "the favorite" - an egg sandwich in their in-house biscuits which were very tasty, the meatball pomodoro (special menu item on the day) and the corn beef hash. Though their sign outside claims "the wait is worth it" I dare to disagree. Arriving just 45min after opening, we were put on a waitlist with two other parties ahead. After 15min of waiting we were finally seated. Inside it's pretty small, hot, and overwhelmingly smelling of food. There's maybe 7 tables and two bar spots so the place doesn't accommodate a lot of people. After ordering though, the GF and I waited over 40 minutes for our coconut porridge and poached eggs + brisket to snail-slow its wait out the kitchen. One of my poached eggs was not a poached egg but a boiled egg, but the rest of the dish was pretty good. Not good enough for a 40 minute wait however. Service was subpar as well. Want to know why there's always a wait outside? Because the kitchen manned by one and a half people and unorganized. Driving back home to Portland from Los Angeles, we swung off the highway at Grass Pants and found Ma Mosa's. Today is Mother's Day, and this made for a spontaneous Mother's Day brunch. I ordered a Special Bene with Roasted Asparagus, Tomato, Spinach, Radish and Tarragon, topped with leeks and more fresh Tarragon. (Wife) Mom N. ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of eggs. Son N. had waffles, and Daughter N. a small kid size of what Mom got. Mom decided, this being Mother's day, a Raspberry Mango Mimosa was in order. It passed muster, and was substantially larger than expected. They're a tad cramped, with indoor seating for maybe 20 and another 30 outside. But that didn't seem to stop anyone from heading here. There was a line on and off outside the door, but they moved quickly and the four of us were seated within about five minutes. The kids had a blast drawing on the metal tables with the provided dry-erase markers. The Bene was very nice. Excellent combination of veggie flavors complementing the egg. The sauce was good, but I would struggle to call it a Hollandaise--it was missing about half a cube of butter to balance the lemon. But that said, it was quite yummy anyway, even if a purist might gripe. Mom's biscuits were excellent, and earned the comment "best sausage gravy I've had that I didn't make myself." - - high praise coming from Mom N. Son N. loved his waffle and daughter also liked the biscuits. Ma Mosa's has that farm-to-table feel, and fits the small town perfectly. Tiny little place, but we got seated quite fast indoors. The coffee is serve yourself with a variety of fun mugs to choose from. The coffee was very good! I loved it, and had 3 cups, which I normally do not do. I ordered the bacon and eggs with homemade english muffin. Everything was fantastic. Eggs cooked perfectly as I like them. It's a popular place so we don't go as often as we'd like because it can be quite a wait. Giving them four stars only because their main dining room is a bit small. If it's the only seating option it isn't enjoyable for us because we're not keen on sharing tables with strangers as we have had to do on occasion. read more

The front dining area was full and it was cold and wet outside, so we sat in the back dining room. We ordered salad and it was delicious (5 stars)! Our only complaint was that the acoustics in the small back room were terrible. There was a table next to us where people were talking rather loud. The sound reverberated off the walls, was more than distracting and actually hurt our ears. Owners really need to install sound absorbing material in the room. We would definitely go back, but only if we could sit in the front room or outside. read more
