Stumbled upon this gem while visiting Grants Pass from Gresham and I'm so glad we did! It's the cutest little sandwich & bakery shop. So many delicious options on the menu and I love that they have 3 different sizes of sandwiches. The sandwiches are AMAZING - fresh, flavorful, and huge! We stopped here on the way, traveling from Portland Oregon to the Bay Area. We ordered a ham and bacon sandwich and a Greek salad. We also ordered a chocolate croissant and double chocolate cheesecake. It wasn't too far off of highway 5 and they have a driveway for your convenience. They put plenty of peppered chicken in the salad and the sandwich was pretty hearty but I would request extra mayo or oil/vinegar so that the sandwich doesn't end up being dry with the thick bread. They got us in/out fairly quickly so it is a great option for some delicious goodies as an alternative to fast food. They are also extremely accommodating so if you have a special request, just let them know. read more

Great muffins! My favorites are Raisin Bran & Apple Oat Bran (gluten free/friendly). And any sandwich on a pesto bagel will rock your world! I ordered a breakfast sandwich on a pesto bagel as a compromise because they were all out of the everything bagel - BEST DECISION I EVER MADE!!! ;-) BTW - I always go through the drive up window, but you can call an order ahead, even while you're waiting in line at the drive-up window. AND... You can order any kind and any amount of muffins the day before you want to pick them up- the next day. I really did not want to write this review but I am done. I always call ahead of time. The last few times I have been met with quite a rude tone when trying to order and when asking availability of particular items as they run out quickly. I go through the drive thru, get more attitude when I ask about a couple of additional pastry items. These are off the shelf items, nothing that requires preparation but they wanted to give me attitude as if I placed a massive order at the window without calling it in. The food. I really don't know where to start. If you have never been, you would probably consider this ok to good. It used to be excellent, huge portions, fresh produce and more than a few slices of meat on sandwiches. Tipping? They do not include a skip tip option on their POS system. You have to click "custom" and then enter $0. This is very dirty and I highly frown upon it. With the food workers demands for higher hourly wages I am not going to subsidize someone handing me food out of a window. Coupled with the high price, reduced quality, bad attitudes, my family will be taking our business elsewhere from now on. read more

Simple but elegenat place. The place has lots of sandwich options (both warm and cold). One can get half sandwich with soup or salad too. The prices are reasonable. They have some desert items too. We were lucky to find Babes' while on our way out of town. They have tons of choices for lunch and breakfast. I went with the half Babes sandwich and half bacon salad for lunch. The sandwich was located with turkey, avocado and on lovely soft fresh bread. The bacon salad with strawberries was delicious. We sampled the chocolate chip and snickerdoodle cookies for dessert. Food is delicious and fresh! I love that they have a diverse breakfast and lunch menu as well as a wide assortment of mouthwatering deserts and treats. Their food is so good that the restaurant can get very busy. If you go through the drive-through, call and order ahead of time otherwise you'll be sitting there for a long time especially if you visit during lunch time. If you have kids, their kids sandwich is big enough for a 5 year old to have for two meals. Babes is always a go to on our road trips. Although their prices seem a tad high, with rising food costs, the quality of ingredients they use and quantity of ingredients, it's well worth the price! The full sandwiches are huge- so plan accordingly. The best way to order take out is to call ahead and go through the drive through... otherwise it could take a bit of time. You can always build your own sandwich but I think the one thing that's missing from the menu is a classic Italian sandwich! read more

Rolled up on Saturday morning to find that, to my surprise, they were not overly busy. I walked up to the counter, gawking at the assortment of fresh baked goodies packed in the showcase. As my mouth watered, I had to stick to the plan I had formulated before I even walked through the door. I ordered The Destroyer. A breakfast sandwich among champions. I naturally chose to start with an everything bagel, then they loaded it up with mounds of ham, bacon, egg, cream cheese, and pepperoncini's. The pepperoncini's were such a nice touch and added the perfect amount of bite. This sandwich was among the top breakfast sandwich's I've had. The people working all were friendly and the restaurant was clean. My only regret was not trying one of everything in the display case. I'd show up earlier than later because they do run out of things, but definitely go check it out. read more

Tried this place for the first time today, and I thought the pastry I got was tasty. I definitely need to remember to come back and try their sandwiches, as they all looked very interesting! The sweet item I tried was a large piece of pastry with sweet cream and mango toping. It definitely satisfied my sweet tooth! I was craving a nice big sweet and this hit the spot. I came home and had the thing with a nice hot cup of Earl Grey tea and it was very enjoyable and tasted very homemade. I will definitely have to come back early morning at some point so I can see the case filled as it was mostly empty by 2:00PM when I came in. read more

Needs a deep clean tables etc pretty dirty outdoor seating could be cleaner fold the box's down etc. baked pastries are a hit and miss from over and under retarted dough to flat half raised stiff product. Very dry fruit and cream filled cupcakes cold from the cooler creating stiff none moist cupcakes which in turn leave a not so great product yes the frosting and presentation are beautiful just not as edible as one would hope. They would be better if made first thing in the morning and not placed in the cooler allowing to slow cool for frosting etc. Sandwiches and cookies are good as is the coffee. As a sandwich shop it's great But the baked goods -some product needs work as a bakery needs awesome product across the board. Look no further for a bakery! Just go. Really, just go. Don't order the full sandwich unless you'd like to eat it for days, or are sharing, it's HUGE! That's not a bad thing in my opinion. Lol. Their bread is amazing and everything between it is super fresh. I can also rave about their blackberry danish, damn it is crispy, flakey, with a tart cheesy custard, and plump rich blackberries. Freakin amazing! However, the most fabulous find at Babe's isn't baked. It is their SOUP! Why is it only seasonal??? People don't care if it is 120 degrees outside, they will still eat your most delectable soups even still! I have had 4 different soups and could rave on and on about all of them - Tuscan tomato, and Chicken and wild rice I am craving right now. Babe's is a pretty spendy place, but we'll worth it.
