Big block grinder
Mark K.

Food 4/5 Service 5/5 Ambience 3/5 Tried for the first time today. I had 1/2 of the Big Block Grinder. It was Great! Bread was soft with a satisfying slight crunch. Meat was plentiful veggies were fresh. Only slightly negative would be the big block sauce was too heavy causing things to kinda fall apart. I would have preferred a less sweet more vinegar based sauce, and less of it. The place is clean, bare bones and kinda a 50s vibe. Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely try again, especially with less sauce. I recommend.

My gitl's roast beef and chips.. She teally enjoed it.. 1/2 sandwich btw

Food came fast and hot... Staff friendly, positive and prompt. Cool 50's vibe. Parking is plenty but it a dirt lot.. place is clean and quiet...

I ordered a burger and my husband got the spicy chicken sandwich. The burger was pretty good, just a standard smash patty with a potato bun. The fries were pretty good as well. I will say the house made ranch was a little bland. The chicken sandwich was good as well. Nice crisp to the patty and good spice.

There's a cool wood-fired oven for pizza, which was a fun process to watch. I ordered the patty melt, which is something I never order, but I was in a rush to decide & did one of those, "I'll have what he's having" things when my husband ordered his patty melt. We're big seltzer water people, so when we went to order a seltzer and the lady told us it was free and self-serve, I was elated. The food didn't take very long & it was tasty looking! The sandwich was cut in half with smashed burger meat overflowing past the bread. It was glorious. The part of the plate that wasn't dominated by melty goodness was filled with with well-seasoned and crisp homemade fries. I could smell how delicious everything was the moment the moment the plate was set down in front of me. Flavor & texture of all the things exceeded expectations. The patty melt had layers of crispy fried onions that made for a lovely and tasty first-bite surprise, & continued to bring joy with each subsequent bite. Every there was incredibly nice and friendly. Dining there was so easy and lovely. Would love to come back the next time we pass through!

House made hot honey chicken and waffles was out of this world good. Jalapeños inside the waffle next level step up. Fried chicken breast cooked perfection served with a delightful fried egg on top. The fresh sprout and pickled onion garnish got me tho. Props to the chef. PS this Bloody Mary made by the owner... and cappuccino can't wait to come back. Thanks guys!

I ordered the steak and eggs (medium rare, asked for it on the rarer side since you never know with steak), and it came out perfect -- great char on the outside, tender and juicy inside. Exactly how it should be. Also... don't skip the specials on the chalkboard there's always something worth trying. And the crepe berqueno is AMAZINGGG -- seriously out of this world. In my opinion, it's the best savory crepe ever. I always customize mine by adding egg and avocado and it never misses. The atmosphere is what really makes this place special though. The owner, Gab, is always there making sure everything runs smoothly, and you can tell he genuinely cares. Him and his son Brandon take great care of their guests and make you feel like more than just a customer. Service can be a little slower at times, but honestly... give them grace. They're balancing a busy spot, connecting with locals, and creating a really welcoming vibe. It feels lived-in, not rushed -- and that's part of the charm. Nothing but love for this place. ‍

I ordered a breakfast sandwich on a pesto bagel as a compromise because they were all out of the everything bagel - BEST DECISION I EVER MADE!!! ;-) BTW - I always go through the drive up window, but you can call an order ahead, even while you're waiting in line at the drive-up window. AND... You can order any kind and any amount of muffins the day before you want to pick them up- the next day. (I hope that made sense) Look- just go there and try something- you won't be disappointed. And hopefully you won't become a muffin addict like me- WARNING: The sandwiches come in a variety of sizes- the largest ones are HUGE!!! They even have explanations and tips on the menu board as you drive up to the drive-thru and inside at the front counter. Take them to heart! Last word- they run out of muffins daily- TIP- You can call ahead (early) and ask if they have something you like (like a type of muffin) they will check and let you know if they do, ask them to set it aside for you in a bag with your name on it- THEY WILL! Just don't forget to pick it up PLEASE. Okay- that's it! ENJOY!

While I empathize when business overhead cost increases and I don't expect them to eat it, I also am VERY aware that other competing brands of coffee in the PNW are not increasing their prices, and holding the line. Even some more small boutique brewers. I can name 3 or 4 brands right off the top of my head that many would recognize and their prices remain stable that I've purchased in the last week or two. And their coffee remains delicious. When I can get competing, and just as delicious products for approximately 15-16 a pound right now, that suggests it's one of two reasons: Either Rogue Roasters needs to switch suppliers, or RR is using tariffs as an excuse to price gouge- and I cannot say which it is, but I CAN say we are done with Rogue Roasters until they pull their prices back out of the stratosphere.
