Cinnamon roll was too dense and not fluffy, loaded with cinnamon though, the savory pastry with egg was not something I would order again. They bake everything and don't fry so if you are looking for a traditional donut then you are at the wrong place. The drip coffee was good and the ambiance was very homey and nice. The display case filled with choices was really amazing looking but then when trying the pastry, it was very dense. If they tasted like they looked then this would easily be five stars. Tried this little bakery on our trips to Grantspass. We had a cinnamon roll, cream cheese turbin, and lemon and blueberry racetrack. All were delicious. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. So I've never had a miss here. It's literally so delicious. All of the pastries I've tried have been sooooo good. The fresh bread is so yummy and the coffee hits the spot. I just ordered a bagel for the first time and you can tell the bagel is baked fresh. I have to say that was literally the best bagel of my life. So darn good ! I love, love, love small town bakeries. And Heavenly Sweets is pretty much as good as it gets. The moment you walk in the door of this awesome little hole-in-the-wall hidden gem, you are greeted by two of the coolest ladies. If you're lucky, the baker is holding her newborn and you get to join in on the swooning. The ladies are happy, friendly and so accommodating (it definitely helps that they play off of my sometimes-awkward commentary... I think I'm funny... sometimes others don't). They have a pleathora of goodies just waiting to be devoured. Their bear claws are the size of a VW Beetle, their blueberry danishes are heaven, and their cinnamon nut rolls are... well... nuts. I recently used Heavenly for specialty cupcakes for a company event and they worked with me on exactly what I wanted every step of the way. They never said they couldn't do something and did whatever they could to accommodate what I envisioned. Chocolate Peanut Butter, Red Velvet, Lemon Raspberry, and Peach "Cobbler" cupcakes. Oh. My. Lanta. I'm such a fat kid. I could live under their baking counter and live off of scraps from their amazing concoctions. Though I've only been to the bakery on three separate occasions, each time I left feeling like I should have been charged more money. Their prices are more than fair. In fact, given the quality of the offerings, I'd say the prices are a steal. One of my favorite morning treats is a plate of biscuits and sausage gravy. At Heavenly, you get more than your moneys worth. The pork sausage infused gravy is perfectly seasoned, and a welcome start to Rogue Valley's cold mornings. The quiche (made with cheddar cheese) is filling, and pairs well with any beverage. The caramel nut roll is sweet, but not cloyingly so. The chocolate scones (with chocolate chips and coconut) and the cinnamon roll are favorites though the scone is a tad dry and could do with a higher butter content. But, with coffee, both are perfect as a choice to end any meal of the day. The people are friendly and willing to take time to answer questions. The memory comes to mind of what it was like to go into my aunt's kitchen and bug her. She'd smile, answer my questions, and let us lick the bowl from time to time. Stopped by right at opening and the bakery smelt amazing Order bagels and they were very soft and full of flavor. The homemade cream cheese is DELICIOUS- definitely recommend getting it. Only bummer was they don't ask if you want your bagel toasted so they automatically give it to you cold with the cream cheese. If you wanted it toasted you have to ask for it. read more

Been going here since it was the 4th Street Bakery. They actually are open on Saturday now. Where do I start? They have the BEST branola muffins I've ever had! They are more like mini loaves. I get the one with the craisins and they have without too! Cinnamon roll, Sombreros with refried beans and cheese or chicken, mild green chili, and cheese, or ham and cheese...each one with filling inside a puff layered pastry. We lived in Grants Pass for 6 years and Heavenly Sweets (aka 4th St Deli) was one of our favorite places to go. When the original owners sold it and it became "Heavenly Sweets", we were a little concerned. The new owner did a fantastic job of updating the bakery while staying true to the recipes and goods offered. We came back into town after being away for 2 years and were so excited to visit our "favorite" bakery. Unfortunately it seems as though ownership has switched hands and the quality of the treats has gone down substantially. The recipes have been tweaked (not in a good way), and are flavorless.
