Eric showed up that same day, did an initial diagnosis of the problem, and then was able to fix the leak properly, with minimal expense, just two days later. We could not be happier with the beautiful job that Crafted did on our home!…read moreWe had a very confusing, claustrophobic layout with several small rooms and a very tight, non functional kitchen with almost no storage. We have wanted to knock walls down for years to combine 4 small rooms and open the back wall to see the pool from the kitchen. From the very start of the project through completion, everyone involved was thorough and communicative. Mike was easy to reach and super flexible with constant modifications and changes on our part. I definitely could not say that I'm an "easy" client! He was patient with my own indecisiveness and willing to adapt in the moment, which I know is terribly inconvenient. Lewis is a rockstar! Such an incredibly hard worker and so attentive to detail. He had awesome suggestions along the way and was so creative to find ways to get the look and ideas that we were going for. Ryan with Design and Stone designed the most aesthetic and functional kitchen! The space we were working with was very limited and finicky. He was super accommodating to the things that I knew I wanted, even though not ideally practical, and worked around those things to give us so much functionality, optimize our space, and made it all so beautiful! Joel, our cabinet installer, was so fast but still thorough and specific. He asked my preferences on multiple details as he went to ensure I loved the final result. Steve's precision and detail with our light installation has been pointed out by everyone who's come to the house and he added several outlets to much needed locations in the kitchen as well as the front and back porch. I know there are many others I'm overlooking- Omar, "Coach", the entire plumbing team! Who took the time to teach me how things worked that they changed and moved and repaired old pipes and hose handles along the way .... Thank you Mike and your fantastic team for your hard work on our home, we're never leaving now! :) I have not yet decided on the backsplash and fireplace and will update after completion.

ZERO STARS - Mold Hazard, Forced Evacuation, $150K+ Damages…read more Crafted AZ Remodeling (Mike and Julie Abbate, ROC #199425) - Midtown Phoenix (June-Oct 2025). HEALTH HAZARD: Failed to remove Gyp-Crete underlayment after water leak (standard practice for 50+ years). Didn't replace flooring under refrigerator adjacent to leak epicenter. Guest bathroom "repair" cosmetic only - ignored actual water damage. Environmental testing: 115x normal airborne mold levels. Immediate evacuation required. Forced into 12-month alternative housing. WHAT THEY MESSED UP: Improper water remediation with resulting mold from guest bathroom leak. Insurance denied coverage for workmanship. Forced to pay for all repairs out of pocket. Flooring: 428% markup, cheap laminate without cork underlayment (creates echos). Recommended herringbone pattern for highly irregular space, looks terrible ( pattern used only for square/rectangular rooms). Master bathroom: defective tile work, installed broken shower column with absurd double rain shower configuration, large pendant rain shower on low ceiling and redundant shower controls. Requires accent wall removal/retiling with all new hardware. I redesigned entire shower myself in 15 minutes at design studio, Crafted did not even put in this much effort. Painted entire unit yellow without authorization while I was out of town, no samples provided. Charged for column plaster never performed (only "necessary" because they cut floors improperly). Double-billed for baseboard painting. Different subcontractors daily with poor supervision. Attempted to enter property without permission (after being told twice to stop work) in order to lock in substandard plumbing. Took paid materials when terminated for cause. Also left unit unlocked for a week while I was working out of town. REFUSES RECEIPTS: Attorney demand letter sent requesting receipts and documentation. 6+ weeks - zero response. Claims it is "not industry standard" to keep receipts for such projects. TOTAL DAMAGE: Mold remediation, kitchen/guest bath reconstruction, master bath corrections, repainting entire unit, 12 months alternative housing, moving expenses. Over $150,000 out of pocket to fix their work with one year of planned relocation. LEGAL ACTIONS: ROC complaint filed (inspection Feb 2026), Attorney General complaint filed, BBB complaint filed, preparing for lawsuit. Will update review once completed. Despite creating uninhabitable conditions, only response from Crafted is a demand for an additional $21,092. Other contractors confirmed 4+ units in my building were properly remediated from similar leaks. Crafted did not recognize Gyp-Crete underlayment despite removing all flooring (acts as sponge when wet). Photos/video: mold report showing 115x normal airborne spore levels, yellow paint, haphazard shower install, broken shower column. I would appreciate if Crafted responds with receipts rather than emotions. My attorney requested itemized invoices 6+ weeks ago. Still waiting.

You have to research products, find contractors, get quotes, have meetings, ect. Bare Floors was the third company I brought in and he was by far the most knowledgeable and informative guy I meet with. He took his time to listen to what I thought I wanted. He took his time, asked lots of probing questions and matter of factly told me he would be happy to do my job at an agreed upon rate, but he had apprehensions about the products I wanted to use and the lasting life of the product in the desert environment. He walked my wife and I out to his truck and he proceeds to give us a lesson on Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring. This stuff was unbelievable! Exactly what we wanted! It is great for our extra large dog and tiny little messy girls. Its great for the kitchen as well as a formal dining room. Water resistant, scratch resistant, soft on your feet, so versatile...and it looks AND feels like real wood. Buying: We met Amir at his office (check out the cool "soda" machine), and after looking at more product options, he even laid out a box so we could walk on it! SOLD! Install: Due to other jobs on the project, installation was tricky (my doing) but Amir was really communicative and understanding of my situation. Once we pulled the trigger, he had his guys there on time and ready to knock out the demo. This demo was not easy and they needed to get some heavier duty tools, but nonetheless they got it done. We floated the floor in the kitchen and family room and will float the living room and hallway after the remodel is complete. My wife had ideas of wanting to lay the planks in a herringbone pattern in the dining room. After Amir consulted some of his installers, they decided they could do but it would need to be glued down. This was a super custom request and took a full day of work to complete just the dining room. It is stunning and looks awesome! (Pics don't do it justice) Trim: Amir directed me to where to order the trim I wanted and it was the most affordable option by far for that product. As long as you order it 3 days in advance and have room for the 16 foot sections when its delivered, this is a great way to save some money. Professional: Since we are still under construction, Amir was only able to complete some of the job (the part of the house we are living in) and will finish the job after the remodel is complete. Like I said, easy to work with! Countertops: Amir also has countertop installers and they did a great job on our new white quartz island and honed black quartz countertops. He told us where to go to get the best selection and price, so this was also a very easy process. Soup to Nuts, Bare Floors was great to work with and would recommend them to whomever is willing to listen. Thank you Amir!

Throughout the course of the project he took on for my client, he continued to exemplify that good character in addition to his amazing workmanship. His team was also very professional and even more timely. I was thoroughly surprised at how great the job turned out, especially for how quickly they were able to get it done. This project included painting, flooring, carpeting, and more of a 2 bd 2 ba condo. Thanks again!

Repeated No-Shows, Poor Communication, and Unfinished Work…read more We hired Irving with Modern Innovations to install a garage service door, baseboards in our garage and living room, and a few light fixtures. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional from start to finish. Irving came out on Tuesday to inspect the project and determine what materials would be needed. We scheduled the work for the following day at 9:00 AM. This property is not our primary residence and requires a 45-minute drive each way. After rearranging our schedule and arriving early, Irving did not show up until approximately 1:00 PM--four hours late with no regard for our time. When he finally arrived, he only worked for a couple of hours before telling us he was too busy for the rest of the week and would have to return later. We were already inconvenienced by the late arrival and delay, but agreed to reschedule. A few days later, I received multiple text messages late Saturday evening requesting payment for the partial work that had been completed. Assuming the money was needed for additional materials and wanting to keep the project moving forward, I paid him for the work completed to that point. We then rescheduled for the following Tuesday. The day before, I contacted Irving to confirm the appointment, only to be told he could not make it and needed to reschedule again. We then agreed on Thursday at 6:00 AM. I confirmed the date and time multiple times, and each time he assured me that 6:00 AM worked for him. For the third time, I rearranged my schedule and drove 45 minutes to the property. Once again, Irving failed to show up. At 7:30 AM, I texted him asking where he was and what his ETA would be. He responded that he had gone to Lowe's and was only 10 minutes away. I waited until 9:00 AM, and he never arrived. After that, I never heard from him again. The job remains unfinished despite receiving payment for the work already performed. My experience with Irving and Modern Innovations was marked by repeated no-shows, chronic lateness, broken commitments, poor communication, and a complete lack of respect for a customer's time. If you value reliability, professionalism, and follow-through, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. There are many contractors who show up when they say they will, communicate honestly, and finish the work they start. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
