I must say, that if you're looking for a a bit of an upscale lunch with a great vibe and good view, the "M" is for you. We've been here several times but I'm compelled to review it this time. The M is a large place with a nice sized bar and a dining area that's light and airy with water views. The service is very friendly and speaks to how well the establishment is run. I just loved our server and wish I could remember her name. Truffle French fries anyone? If you enjoy truffles or are in the mood to experiment, these are quite good. Beef Spring Roll with Sriracha cream sauce? A lively roll with a sauce I could bathe in. Scottish Salmon? For lunch? YES PLEASE! Linda loves this and orders it every time we're there. Me? I like to try different things and for this visit I chose Chicken Milanese. Kinda pedestrian, right? Chef has a great touch and this dish I wish I could have had seconds. My husband and I dined here on our first night in Naples. We opted for a table outside since it was a nice, warm evening. Our server was knowledgeable and pleasant. I started with an arugula salad that was absolutely perfect! My husband and both chose the blackened swordfish and it was excellent! Perfect portion size and nice veggie/starch ratio. It was so refreshing to have a proper portion size, not too large. We did not opt for dessert, so the complimentary chocolate truffles were a nice surprise. Also, the complimentary tomato soup and grilled cheese tasting was a nice touch as well. One more neat thing...the check folder lit up! We dine out frequently and this was the first time we ever saw a check folder that lights up and illuminated the paper check. So convenient to see in the dark. Overall excellent dining experience! I've been here before, pre yelp? Maybe. I have to say that the service and the staff are top notch. In an environment that restaurants are struggling for staff etc.. if they are it's not showing here. We came in, 5 of us, 2 heavy drinkers, an old lady and 2 discerning "can I see your drink menu" types. I won't tell you which group I am in. Amazing drinks, fantastic apps and attentiveness from all that walked around our bar high top. The place was buzzing with regulars mixed with tourist and second home owners. Now let's get to what you came for a review of the food...I had the short rib and my wife had the salmon...she let me taste her salmon and it was great. The short rib was delicious...it was so tender I didn't need a knife, I just used my fork and it was well seasoned. The short rib had a nice glaze on it and I cleaned the place . Sabrina was our server. There were 6 of us. She was very attentive. They bring out a tiny cup of tomato soup with bread and cheese in it as a complimented starter and bread with tamp ease and butter. The Mushroom Risotto was not as crunchy as the Lobster Tails. Risotto is a 20 minute cook, you can not rush that process, which how We felt after eating it. I have read through the comments and every enjoys the Risotto here. I will not say it was an off night, but a mistake that ended up on our plates. We were so lucky to get a same day reservation and then fortunate to be seated outside on the terrace. The terrace is a perfect and peaceful place to watch the boats and also view the stunning mansions across the water. Upon sitting we were served crusty bread and olive tapenade. Delicious with a chilled Chardonnay. The chef sent a complimentary tomato soup and grilled cheese. The soup was creamy and robust and seasoned perfectly with pepper and basil. We started with the crab and shrimp spring rolls. The crab was imitation but that did not take away from the flavor or texture. I had the pomodori with scallops as my entree. The dish had 3 nice sized scallops that were perfectly cooked, the sauce was fresh and light. Hubby had the fish of the day - snapper artfully served with asparagus and potatoes. He loved it. Wow, what an amazing place! We have eaten at a lot of places and M Waterfront Grille is now in our top 10 SWFL Restaurants! The wife and I have been here a few times and it's an amazing place. We've sat inside at a regular table, out in their private dining room by the water (for a company party), and outside on the patio right next to the water and the views are spectacular. Besides the food being perfect every single time the service was impeccable. It's hard to find a restaurant where the consistency is always there but this is the place that happens! The service was spot on and they knocked it out of the park! Each dish was executed with precision and care.. Cooked perfectly and had wonderful flavors! Bravo to the Team The chef even came out to our table and asked how things were and you can tell that management really cares by the way they go around checking on everybody throughout the night. Valet was a nice touch since it's such a busy plaza and I would recommend reservations even out of season. This was one of the WORST dining experiences I've had. I saw an ad for them online, so I signed up for their mailing list, and got their "Prime Rib Tuesdays" email every week. I love prime rib, so my girlfriend and I decided to drive down from Fort Myers to check it out. We sat down, ordered some drinks, and then this huge party came in right after us. From that point on, our server practically ignored us for the bigger table. Of course... bigger tip. For the rest of the night it was IMPOSSIBLE to flag her down. She'd walk by our table and not even look at us. We ended up having to go to the hostess station to pay our tab. Horrible service. And we're VERY easy customers to please. Sadly, the food wasn't that good either. The prime rib was tough, like shoe leather. The lobster was over-cooked. The front desk lady very patiently to guide us the closet open beach area(we were paln to catch the sunset before dinner). In front of the restaurant have a big parking lot. So parking here it's free to if you don't try to do valet. During dinner time the server very nice too. We seated outside. They have the fire heater. So make sure clients not that cold. And we see three dolphins before dinner which is wonderful. We ordered three starters and one entree. The starters coming very fast. In 10 minutes after the bread. I like the crab and shrimp spring roll. Of course if the outside skin can be little bit more crisp will be even better. The clam chowder also taste good. Inside have some sliced potatos. The grilled octopus flavor good. But the meat hard to explain. I don't want to say it's not fresh enough. But the texture taste little bit different than usual. It little bit too soft. Maybe how they cook It. And before the starts they give some small food samples too. The entree we shared 12oz nys. We asked pre cut the meat. Maybe they misunderstood thought we want to use two pan to serve the steak. But it's ok. Not a big deal at all compared the whole experience there. The steak we asked medium. Under the meat have a French style potato layers with cheese in between. Whole dish taste good. After they give us a slice key lime pie for anniversary dessert. The pie don't have strong key lime taste. I think more meet the local guests flavor. I do like it too. Not too sweet. Before we leave they give another two pieces chocolate to thank we choose them. My dinner began a lot like it ended: when the purple shorted manager stopped by to ask us "was everything okay?", I said "nope." And the manager said "okay" and walked away. Basically, I wanted some pasta and a piece of fish, but I was told that ordering that would mean a meal in the $110 price range since I would have to pay full price for both the fish (plus sides) and meatballs (plus pasta). I asked twice if they would be willing to accommodate this since I'm not eating red meat. Nope. Was totally willing to pay for the more expensive cost of fish but just wanted to swap out the sides. The cost of bucatini and tomatoes can't be more than the lavish sides that accompanied the fish. And still, nope. If it was not my mother-in-law's birthday, I would have protested more assertively, but come on folks. I worked in hospitality in New York for a decade. We prided ourselves on making every guest happy. Not here. And that was underscored by the fact that the manager couldn't care less when he asked how the dinner was. Hard pass. The tables are pretty close together and the waiter we had often pulled down his mask to talk. That was a bit concerning. The food was awesome! Here for lunch the other day. It's been a while. Walked in and saw a lot of spacing between tables but not a bad seat in the house. All can view the water. There were tables on a raised platform. Want to also say that the restrooms were impeccably spotless. In today's climate, that was enough. The menu had a variety of very interesting dishes. I'm sorry to have forgotten the servers name but she was very helpful with the menu and very personable. I had asked her about some entrees and narrowed it down to the HOT LOBSTER ROLL for me and the SHRIMP AND WATERMELON SALAD for Dottie. Before the entrees arrived we were given a complimentary piece of their version of a crumb cake instead of a typical bread basket. It looked delicious!! We declined as we've been dieting. But never took my eyes off it. LOL. The Lobster Roll was delicious! Not bathing in butter and you can actually taste the fresh lobster. It was a generous portion on the ciabatta like roll. Dottie was also sampling the lobster. The French fries were perfect. Didn't want the meal to end. Dottie's generous salad with three large delicious shrimp over the combination of the lettuce, candied walnuts, feta cheese, cucumbers in this balsamic vinaigrette dressing when mixed was phenomenal. There was enough for me to share a few forkfuls. We hadn't any appetizers or even coffee afterwards that day as we've been cutting back on excess food lately, but I can tell you, we'll be back shortly and bring some friends and I think you already know what we'll be having again. Last night was my first visit to the restaurant and it was immediately evident that during this unusual time the staff are taking every measure to ensure both the comfort and safety of customers. Foremost our server was so sweet. Ordered the filet medium rare, came medium well with a flaming hot plate like it sat under the heat waiting awhile. Cocktail was meh, and most of the sides were over salted. The bread and tomato soup starter were delightful! Overall it was far to expensive with a limited menu to not be able to execute a steak well. Let me begin by saying that my wife and I have been coming here for the better part of 12 years. Service was always excellent in our opinion as it was today. The food has been remarkable over the years and today was no exception I do feel something has changed though and that we were assuredly taken advantage of. My wife ordered Scallops today and I went with the plain old hamburger ($22 !!) What came were three, count 'em three scallops and not overly large mind you, perhaps the size of a quarter at best. That and a good splash of a special sauce was it. No rice, no toast or toast crisps on the side. $32!!!!! Now, the "M" has always been a bit expensive but I've never said a word because the chef has always, produced some wonderful dishes, Dishes you can't find anywhere else, truly. My wife had three scallops and a spoonful or two of sauce. Come on.... Was it good, probably better than good but holy smokes. Came here for my birthday and had a great experience! First off, our waitress Dawn was amazing - she went above and beyond all night to make sure we were happy. The food was also great. We had the house salad and the wedge salad to start and for my entree I had the short rib which was AMAZING. My Mom's a vegetarian and they were very accommodating and made a vegetarian meal for her which was delicious. End the night with this complimentary key lime pie as well as two housemate truffles - all superb. Will definitely be coming back next time I'm in Naples! read more

Never again. This is my experience from last year. Hopefully it got better but I'll never know. I'll never go back. We were a group of four. I ordered salmon. We got our meals and my salmon was hard. I could barely get the knife thru it. When I did I thought maybe it was frozen. I felt the center of salmon. Not frozen. We were all shocked. I've never had salmon where I could not cut with a fork. Sent it back only to get another piece hard!!! By now everyone's done eating. Manager comes over to offer me another piece!! No thank you!! They did not charge me as they should not. To this day I still wonder what they were serving me. It wasn't salmon. Our friend had to send her meal back but I don't remember why. They brought us other tables' meals three times. We flagged down the server who said ours was being plated. Still no food. We flagged down a manager who checked and said the kitchen had made a mistake and it was being remade. The food was good but they still made mistakes with what one of us ordered.
