Okay, so I returned to M & D Nails after years of not going since Lana sold the business. I was EXTREMELY pleased with my whole experience. The staff was very friendly. Leo and Shena (new owners) were more than accommodating and ready to please whoever came thru the door. It was "THE BEST" pedicure I have had in a looonnggg time with a great message...with Shena taking extra care on my fingernails since I love to get them dirty in my garden. I had gone to this salon a couple times and I was always happy. My nails always looked great, they never had weird shape or looked too thick or anything. At my most recent visit my nails looked great but they had all came off within a week. I called and told them what happened and they redid my nails for free with dip powder instead of acrylic. Again they looked great and I was still satisfied but this set also came off within a week. This time layers of my nails had ripped off. Multiple nails had been separated from the nail bed so I was very careful to keep them clean but they still got infected. It has been 2 months now and I still have gaps under my nails and they are growing out. Maybe that's just the chance I take going to a nail salon but I don't think I'll be going back. read more

I have been here once before and thought it was great because they spent a lot of time on the pedicures massaging your legs and feet. Went back on November 19th and my husband was already done with his pedicure before mine was started. The girl who did my pedicure was rushing around but was friendly. I remember her digging at an in-grown toenail and it hurting a lot. Two days later my toe was red and swollen and very painful. More days passed and pus pockets were appearing. A week later I called my doctor after a nurse at Pilates class said it was definitely infected. I got an antibiotic and my toe is healing. I do not know if this was from unsanitary conditions or this lady digging at my toe. Unfortunately, because of this incident I will not be returning here nor any other salon. read more

This place was extremely unorganized! I had not one, not two, but three technicians greet me like they were going to service me but ended up taking other clients. They had no clue what an American manicure was so I had to settle for a natural color dip powder shade and to make matters worse they did a horrible job! The layer is so thin that my real nails have broken underneath. I don't even want to return for them to fix it because it was that bad. read more

I am not one to leave a bad review because I know everyone has bad days and I think second chances are important. I came to this location last year and LOVED my nails. When I came back for a second time, I asked for ombré. The girl told me I could only do them if I added length, fake nails, which I really didn't want to do but inevitably agreed to. Once she added them and cut them down, she then told me they were too short to do ombré so I just said screw it. I just think it was close to closing time and she didn't want to do it. That's fine, I just won't return. After a year and covid I figured I could give them another shot. I called at 2pm and made an appointment for 530 for a mani pedi. I showed up ten minutes early. I reminded someone I had an appointment after people without an appointment had been sat. After 20 minutes of waiting I was seated at a chair for a manicure before my pedicure which made no sense. THREE people walked around acting like they were looking for my color. They found the color... I waited another fifteen and finally walked out. I understand waiting that long when places are busy and you don't have an appointment. The girl next to me did not have an appointment and she was sat before me when we walked in at the same time. I think this place does a wonderful job and I won't discredit that. I was SO excited to love my nails again today but left very upset at yet another bad experience. read more

Best kept secret in Wentzville! I went for a mani/pedi after work and they got me right in. The salon is neat and clean and staff is very courteous and committed to go service. Business here is conducted like a personal service salon with a small, but very knowledgeable staff; not like those sweatshop type salons with 8-10 booths and 10-15 pedicure chairs. They can get very busy, but do take appointments. You never feel rushed through your service! If you want to be comfortable, and get serviced in a clean and sanitized environment then this is your place! If that doesn't matter, go elsewhere! read more

This salon is great!!! This pic is my 11year old daughter. This set is not only 3 weeks old, but also survived a week long vacation in Mexico. Her nails made it through snorkeling and kayaking and all sorts of vacay torture without so much as a scratch. We've been here twice and having this set redone this afternoon. Everyone is so friendly and every tech we've had is so patient with my daughter while she tries to figure out what she wants, and even offers great suggestions. We've always made appointments vs. walking in, but are always able to be seen the same day we call. I went in to get my eyebrows waxed and the lady waxing my eyebrows went so fast that she dropped wax on my eye and forgot to wax the middle part between my eyebrows. I then looked in the mirror and said "can you wax this part?" but instead she just got out a tweezer and tweezed a little bit and then she walked out the door and didn't ask me again if everything was OK. I then went up to the counter she never told me what the price was she just sat there and waited and I hadn't been there in a couple months and I thought it was $8 so I handed her a $10 bill and asked for change because it went so fast and the waxing process was rushed, then she didn't proceeded to say that I do not get change back and then walked away from the front desk. read more

This is the place I go when I need attention to detail. Linn, the person who looks like a thin Buddha and has the same Zen quality will just tsk at the nails I present and get to work. He is not long on conversation but brings an A type of attention which is really all I can ask. When he is done my nails look perfect. His wife is also really nice. Together they are the perfect management team. And they open slightly earlier than other nail salons in the area. Finally they offer a punch card so if you go often you can redeem some savings. My husband and I decided to get pedicures on our date day. We are new to Wentzville so I looked on yelp for nail place and M & D nails had pretty good reviews so decided to try them out. The young ladies that did our pedicures were very friendly and that is a big reason why I am giving 2 stars. My station was at the end of the row and when I went to take off shoes between station and wall, there were ants everywhere. They swept them up before I sat down. This is not a huge deal with it being summer but contributed to the all around experience. My husband and I both thought the pedicures felt great as we ordered the deluxe service. My painted nails looked great. It was not until we got home later that evening that we realized we both still had rough spots on our feet. With tip, we spent $135 for our pedicures and we expected our feet to be much better. I have never checked my feet before leaving a pedicure but this experience has changed that. I will always check now. Staff is friendly and nice, prices are a little high, pedicures need to be better about getting feet smooth. read more
