This Whole Foods location is full-size, with a full bakery, hot bar, and grocery selection. Having this place nearby made it a great home base for water, a snack, and delicious treats in a pinch. We enjoyed some hot bar items (delicious), some bakery items (scrumptious), and of course, grabbed hotel essentials for our stay, like water bottles and snacks. I didn't have much interaction with staff here, so can't speak on the service. There are lots of self-checkouts available. I'd say we ended up in this Whole Foods about 3-4 times in our 5-day stay. It was clean, organized, dependable, and for a Whole Foods in Seattle, reasonably priced.

While checking out, I used two paper bags and was confronted by an employee who essentially forced me to add the bag charges to my bill. While I understand there is a Washington state bag law, the employee's approach felt completely aggressive and unnecessary for a 24-cent issue. Metropolitan Market already charges premium prices, and being policed over paper bags at a self-checkout is an incredibly uninviting customer experience. I will definitely think twice before coming back to this location.

Fall Season is definitely coming up soon as the summer heat is calming down while tree leaves are turning from green to brown in the neighborhood. Picking up groceries was mainly the purpose of the day. From breakfast items, snacks, salads to basically anything you might have forgotten in your toiletry bag. It seems that fresh strawberries and blueberries were a popular item at the time. A clerk came by to replenish a lot of them in an almost empty refrigerator case. Price is always right, service from all clerks and cashiers are very consistent whenever you visit any Trader Joe's in any state. What I didn't expect to see was crowds and crowds of customers during my shopping visit, and the store clerks were extra friendly. Trader Joe's is always a must go whenever on the US Mainland.

TIm a black man and I went to the store to buy ice cream with a Caucasian friend of mine and as I'm waiting at the counter with my merchandise he was still deciding what to buy and one of the employees an Asian man who ended up telling me that he owned the place told me to wait outside and get out. With an aggressive attitude. I complied and once my friend gets to the counter to buy his merchandise he asked the man why he told me that and he said that he didn't trust me and continued to say something about me being black and a hoodlum a nice older lady cut him off and said to him he was wrong for what he said and did. I'm never going to spend my money at that establishment again and I advise anyone else does as well read more

This 'convenience' store exists solely because of the land it's on. The only thing more abysmal than the prices is the Despicable Me looking clerk that makes sure that you know how much he hates having to serve you. I've been to this store several times and the same clerk has always had the same snobby attitude. We get it, you're not working at your dream job, we've all been there. But if treating your customers like human beings is that much of an inconvenience then go work at a place where you don't have to talk to people. read more
