We decided to use lyft for the first time while on our visit to seattle and are happy to say that we will never hesitate to use it again! We used lyft a total of 3 times.. every driver and experience was amazing! Our first driver walked us through the concept of lyft, how to use it, tips on what you should or shouldn't do before or after a lyft ride, and got us to our destination quickly and safely. Our second driver literally had us feeling like we were a couple of friends that he picked up after not seeing us in years. We talked about anything and everything.. not a single dull moment! Our third driver was hilarious and had us laughing the whole way while getting us to dinner. Best of all, lyft is so affordable! It was only a suggested donation of $6 to take us from the space needle to the pink door restaurant.. and i had a $10 credit so I was able to donate an extra $4 without spending any money! read more

This Driving service gets Zero Stars from me. Here's why, I made a trip to Costco and as some of you may know the stuff there is sold in bulk, so we had a quite a bit of stuff. I requested the Lyft at 8:30 the driver said he would be their in 6 minutes. We stood at the only open entrance for apx 20 minutes. I noticed a car that matched the description of the lyft drivers car pass me twice, this guy had no mustache light, no Lyft sticker. I called the driver my self, he never call me, how curtious right, that's excellent service...I think not! I called , the driver three times. There was one entrance, we were standing at, we stood at that entrance for 20 minutes. He went right past me so I called and he hung up in my face, I called again and he forwarded my phone calls. Now I contacted Lyft customer service about this particular driver the service that he did not provide but still charged for and they told me that so the cancellation fee will only be charged if the driver then self cancel the ride and not the person being picked up so I didn't cancel the ride the driver canceled the ride because he claims that he could not find me nor was he in communication with me. He wasn't in communication with me because he hung up in my face and forward in my calls.Let's keep it real! What great customer service they have here (sarcastically speaking). The driver had a very small car and I'm pretty sure he just didn't want to drive us because we had lots of stuff, at least Uber let's you select a larger vehicle, this lyft service is horrible. I would never try this service again, company steals money from people and apparently the drivers steal too. They all are petty  thieves.  It's not right what they are doing to people If you want your money stolen take lyft, if you want drivers taking longer routes for extra cash take a Lyft! If you love experiencing horrible customer service take a Lyft!! read more

I admit, I was skeptical at first. REALLY skeptical. I enjoy not being murdered and thought no good could come from a car service that relies on your average Joe picking you up. I was pleasantly surprised! I only tried Lyft to begin with because a friend shared a $10 voucher with me; it was expiring soon so my boyfriend and I used it to get from Capitol Hill to Ballard. After the $10 off, the suggested donation came to $13 - pretty sweet. We've since used it a few more times and every time the drivers have been professional and friendly - and decidedly not killers. Plus, I can't get over the glee I feel when the price is so much less than a taxi - it surprises me every time! read more

Lyft was fun! I had a coupon, so I decided to try it on my boyfriends birthday when I was surprising him with the location. Lyft picked us up in 3 minutes! I can't remember the drivers name, but he was so nice. He offered us drinks and snacks and chatted us up about the happenings around Seattle. From Lower Queen Anne to Downtown Seattle (close to pioneer square) it was $10. On the way back, a different driver got to us in 5 minutes. He was cool as well. Both drivers made me feel comfortable and safe. Will definitely be trying this out with a trip to the airport. read more

I had seen the pink mustache on cars, but had no idea it was a "ride share" aka underground taxi company. Skeptical, we decided to try it out. You download the app on your phone, and request rides via your phone (there is no hailing). The phone locates the closest Lyft, and tells you how many minutes away it is. In our case it was 4 minutes away (much less wait time than a taxi). The app shows a picture of the driver and their car. It was a very clean and the driver was very personable, sane, a good driver, and spoke English. No cash is exchanged, any money you give the driver is done via the app and your phone which you tie to your credit card. You also tie it to your Facebook, so that the drivers know you are a "real" person. Both the drivers and passengers rate each other, and if either gets too many low scores, they are no longer allowed to use Lyft. This really optimizes smartphone GPS and payment technology, and makes things very efficient. It makes taxi companies seem like they are in the dark ages. I definitely recommend Lyft! read more

My BF & I traveled to Seattle this past weekend and we were excited to give Lyft a try - the first time we requested a person it pinned us about 2 blocks away and the driver "Soniya" was not pleased by this and demanded that I CANCEL my request - OK Fine, I do so and boom $5 charge on my card...(lyft gave me back my 5$), I was a bit disappointed by this so I decided to give it another go, the guy that I got said he would be there in over 20 minutes and the app said 4 minutes. I said no thanks and ended up cabbing it back to our hotel from wherever the lightrail drops you off from the airport (last stop) That ended up being a $20.00 cab right! Boo We get to the hotel check in everything is great - we give lyft one more shot and guess who I get SONIYA - and she REJECTED my request! I was like ohhh heck no! But pushed my button again because maybe I will get someone better! I did, I ended up getting 8 better drivers, who explained how Lyft worked, where it could take me where it could get me etc. Now had I given up after the first few tries, and the bit of a snatchy lady I encountered I never would have realized I want to become a LYFT driver too! The services are great, the prices are beyond AWESOME and even if they have to take you like 4 blocks they were more than willing to do so! Also, I want to thank Eli our last driver who actually waited at our hotel until we grabbed our bags went potty and brought us to the train station after picking us up at Pikes market! I use Lyft regularly and for the most part, I'm a 100% fan. It's the scheduled rides I'm completely frustrated with. I love in Bellevue and there's not as many drivers. I book an early flight to SeaTac and they DONT EVEN LOOK FOR A DRIVER UNTIL MY PREFERRED PICK UP TIME. Then I get to wait and hope someone picks up the ride and can get here quickly. I've been using Lyft since the first week it was introduced in Seattle. I moved downtown earlier in the year and don't really love taking the bus all the time :-P Lyft is super inexpensive and I've had a great experience on every one! All the other reviewers say they were skeptical. I admit I was never skeptical... it seemed like a great idea to me. And it was great! My ride was there in under two minutes! He helped me with my stuff! He spoke fluent English, didn't try to cheat me by driving blocks out of the way, didn't roll his eyes because I didn't have cash (you use the app to pay with your card). I tried this for the first time today and I can honestly say I won't be using a taxi for a long long time! I recently broke my knee and need a cost efficient way to get to and from the dr since I have no car. I tried lyft and was super happy with both drivers I used and the prices! Very clean vehicles as well. I was also glad I got an SUV on both trips which was nice for my crutches. Both drivers were patient as I was struggling in and out as well . I've also used Uber (other cities), and my ride from SeaTac to my office in Ballard on Lyft was great. I requested the ride as soon as I hit the arrivals curb at SeaTac, and Moses accepted the ride. He called me to confirm my location, and within 5 minutes he was curbside putting my bags in the trunk of the car. I sat up front, and on our drive (approx. 45 minutes) we chatted and enjoyed the ride! His black Kia was clean and tidy. The route he took was a little different than I expected, I had assumed he'd take the I5, but instead took something through Burien (or near it), then First Avenue along the water eventually coming out on Western/Elliott Ave. It definitely didn't have as much traffic but it was still slow-ish. But, I still got to work by 10:45am so it wasn't too bad! Moses was a super friendly drive, and I felt safe at all times! Unfortunately my Lyft credit that I got was only valid in Orange County, so I did have to pay about $40, including tip, but I'm sure that was likely cheaper than a regular cab. read more

Lyft has become my #1 lifeline working downtown. I cannot even begin a list of how many cabs I have waited for, to have them rescheduled, picked off by another rider, ect... Laura has been my driver several times, She is always fun and upbeat, and is a very safe and efficient driver. And she ALWAYS remembers me! I Love the car games, especially after a night out. Also, the convenience of opening an app and knowing the exact car, and driver to keep an eye out for definitely helps. " Maybe it has to do with pride!? idk" My girlfriend and I were at 8 ounce burger bar in downtown Seattle on a weekned trip from Vancouver when we asked our Waitress how much it would cost to get a cab to the Mariner's game and she actually suggested we use download the Lyft app instead, as it would cost us less and it would actually be more fun and personal. We really aren't the skeptical type, so we jumped right in and when we were searching we noticed that THOSE WERE THE PINK MUSTACHES! so obviously we were excited and had one of those "meant-to-be" epiphanies. Our waitress explained how she always uses it and loves it and how the drivers have to go through background checks and what not, so that not just anyone can drive you around which made it pretty easy to go ahead with it. As we were requesting a Lyft, we were also given a coupon code which gave us a 20 dollar credit for being first time users, AWESOME! We ended up getting a girl named Marissa who greeted us with a fist bump and chatted with us about everything to do with her process of becoming a driver. She was an absolute gem and made our first experience a great one. The trip only costed us 8 bucks and we bumped it up a couple bucks just to show our appreciation since a taxi would have costed an easy 20+ dollars. We will for sure use Lyft again when possible and hopefully it keeps on expanding, such a great idea! ( just be careful with jealous taxi drivers) :) read more

They claim there's fraud on my account, there isn't and won't reactivate it. They also won't answer why it doesn't work. And then to top it off they won't deactivate my account either. If I could give LYFT "0" ratings I would. I switched to LYFT from UBER because I thought they treated their drivers better. Well this weekend, early Saturday morning, I left my personal cell phone with my drivers license and credit cards in my LYFT car. Of course, LYFT does not give you a phone number where you can talk to a " real " person ( unlike UBER). I began texting them at 7:45 am. They assured me that they understood how important it was for me to get my phone back. Yet, they refused to give me a number where I could reach the driver, refused to give me the phone number of the "hub" so I could check to see if my phone had been dropped off and refused to tell me if, in fact, they had located my phone. Finally, at 10:30 pm on Saturday they e-mailed me to inform me that the driver did, in fact, have my phone but was " too busy" to drop it off. That is the last I have heard from them. It is now Sunday night and they have ignored numerous e-mails. I need to get on a plane Tuesday morning so I really need my drivers license. At this point, I have no idea if the driver has stolen my phone, license and credit card or if they ever intend on returning it. I will be calling the corporate office first thing on Monday but this is outrageous and absolute theft -- given that they have admitted that they have my phone. NEVER use LYFT -- I will never do so again! read more

Lyft is stupid because they made us pay $20 for a shared ride when we have to be at a certain place and they made the first person go first. When you take Uber, they only pick up one person and they know what they are doing. Uber offers rewards for 30% off and Lyft doesn't offer anything. Lyft May be cheaper, but u Ed offers better discounts. This is why Uber is better than Lyft. Not happy, Lyft always took good care of me until recently. Ordered our Lyft, walked outside, couldn't see the car that showed on our phone or any Lyft driver, called him TWICE and both times went to voicemail. Lyft charged me a no-show fee and refused to refund. The driver wasn't there nor did he answer his phone but I am the one who has to pay. I avoided Uber because of questionable practices, now I feel burned and ripped off by Lyft and Mahdi the driver. read more

Easier than getting a cab. There is even a GPS locator showing you where the nearest driver is, and how soon that driver can get to you etc. If you are lucky like I was you will get a driver who was happy to chit chat and recommend some places in Seattle to see. He was also a safe and patient driver. He arrived on time and the total cost was very reasonable. I recommend Lyft over any cab service. I am too tired of getting crazy cab drivers who drive like mad and who don't show any basic signs of courtesy for being part of a service. I like Lyft much better. read more

Lyft came through with flying colors. Started out badly with a inexperienced driver who picked me up in front of the Seattle ferry building during rush hour on a Friday. Well almost half hour later she finally figured out why we were not moving even a inch, she was in the inside lane for a ride on ferry to bainbrige island with know way out. She politely told me she would have to cancel my ride and I would have to go get another ride. This was no easy feet, I had a lot of stuff and it was 95 degrees out. That is when the magic happened...I was super upset, didn't know where to go and worried if I would make my plane. Then I got help from a local police office,,oh did I tell you I didn't know how to use the app ( first timer) and I could not read the screen due to the blazing sun? He clicked it for a new car and then told me where to walk to. I walked over and a few seconds later a angel appeared from lyft.,.by this time I was crying and exacerbated. The driver was super sweet,,,offered to take me out for a bite to eat, gave me a tissue for my runny nose and then when I declined dinner she drove a few blocks,,parked the car,,left it running, and she ran two blocks to get me cold water. Amazing and uplifting and just what I needed. So sweet. There are some lovely people in the world. Thank you lyft for professional kind and caring drivers. read more

I scheduled a ride for my daughter to be picked up at the King Street station in downtown Seattle because her bus had problems the first driver called me when he arrived there and asked me where the destination was. I told him it was in Lacey just as I indicated on the ride request. He said that Lyft does not give drivers the destination and that he couldn't go that far. The 2nd driver pulled up and paused about 15 seconds and drove off!! Meanwhile my 19 year old daughter is getting scared, as was I and her mother. The 3rd driver arrived and promptly told her she shouldn't be waiting by herself in this "sketchy part of town" No sh... Sherlock!! Lyft offered me a $10 coupon for my next ride and said "sorry for any inconvenience , LOL!!There won't be a next ride!! Good thing there is competition! What a sad and pitiful response to a very serious situation!! DO NOT use Lyft!! read more

Over the past week I have had multiple encounters of poor customer service from many different people at this company. First starting with our driver. Not only did he drive like a maniac but then asked us to tip him which made us feel very uncomfortable. I accidentally dropped my keys in the back seat of his car while getting out. When I called him back he answered and said that my friend had already called and asked about them and he didn't have anything. This must have been in reference to another customer because this was the first call. After looking everywhere I called back again to ask him to double check as I know they were in my pocket when he picked us up. He blew me off and said he would call if he found anything. I then called another lyft to pick me up and take me back to my original location just incase they could have fallen out as I got into the first car. Of course at this point it was 150x the normal rate and ended up being a quite expensive ride there and back. As I predicted they were not there. At this point I had been locked out of my apartment for hours (with pets locked inside). I try him one more time. He again assures me that he has looked 3 times and that no one left anything in his car. Defeated I head to a friends house. I then get a text a few hours later that he has my keys. Of course he clearly didn't look the first three times. I ask if i can come to him to pick them up and he tells me no. He said he would be in the city 8 hours later and would call me. I told him I was locked out of my house and he didn't seem to care even if I was willing to go all the way to where he was. 9 and a half hours later I get a call and he was able to meet me where I was at. He again asked me for cash that I did not have on me. Had he helped me out originally and looked for them or even let me come get them I probably would have found a way to tip him but it almost felt like he had held my belongings hostage to try and get more money from me. After this I was frustrated with my experience and wrote into the customer support page. I spoke with "Alexis" who seemed to want to help and asked me information about the ride and driver etc. She refunded the ride (to someone else's account) and said if I have "further questions or concerns to please let her know." I asked her if I could be refunded for the second car that I would never had needed to call had the first simply looked in their back seat. I think this is completely fair request, refunding someone else does nothing for the inconvenience and behavior of this man to help my situation. Her response "No additional refunds will be processed" and again "if you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out." I have reached out twice to her and heard nothing in three days. I have also submitted a message through the app, no response. I tried to find the customer support phone number which is listed as (855)865-9553 x2. This takes you to a prerecorded message that tells you to contact them for phone support online and hangs up on you. I reached out directly to the payments department at pay@lyft.com. I got a response today from "Travis" he said for security reasons he could not call me but that if i need to speak to someone to call the same number I had already tried that does not work. When I informed him that I had already tried and it did not work all he could say is that he is "more than happy to assist me via email" and that he will be "patiently awaiting my response". I responded two minutes later and have not heard back since, this was over 3 hours ago. I replied to travis again an hour and a half later as well as sending in a new ticket asking for someone to please help me. At this point I am more frustrated with not being able to get a response or a human on the phone than the original issue. I really hope they will reach out in some way or another but at this point I wouldn't hold my breath. read more

I will never use LYFT again. I hired lyft to Sea-Tac Airport, i noticed my stun gun in my pocket and the driver "Grace" gladly accepted to drop it off for me. I returned from trip and she didn't. She kept claiming she did! Once I viewed the surveillance cameras of date and time she stated was dropped off, I told LYFT she or my stun gun wasn't on the video and I get a notice from LYFT of account suspension for carrying the stun gun. LYFT showed No concerns over me getting my property back. I will never ever use them again! read more

We took Lyft to Century Link Stadium for the Rolling Stones Concert. The driver was polite & familiar with the city. The charge was $45.00. After rhe concert, Lyft was contacted to take us home. The price on the app kept going up. We shared a car with three other people. Our charge was $145.00. A difference of $100.00 from the previous ride. Shame on Lyft. read more

I took my 16 yr old niece to Seattle by ferry. We then took Lyft to the Space Needle, after we walked to the Market. The driver picked us up within 3 minutes. The car was clean and the driver was super nice. 10.00, including tip(I added a couple of bucks). Then we took lyft back to Alaskan Way. Again, fast pick up, exceptional experience all around. I really love this service! I have a car but it can be so nice to not have to deal with traffic and parking!!! I have had good experiences with the drivers. They are friendly and I would recommend them to anyone. My only tip is the GPS feature is really cool too but you might need to adjust the pin as it can be slightly off on your pick up location. read more

Today my husband and I ordered a shared lyft ride. The car showed up with a 4 seater, as in room for the Driver and 3 passengers. We got in and the driver BACKED DOWN a one way street with us inside. He then went to pick up the other person, only it turned out to be 2. One had to sit on the hump in the middle of the backseat with NO SEATBELT! He then dropped us off illegally in a bus stop TWO FLIPPING BLOCKS AWAY FROM WHERE WE NEEDED TO GO. Which by the way was a clinic due to my having thrown out my back. Illegal, dangerous, horibble service. TESFELFALDET WAS the driver. read more

Our driver was Harold, very friendly, he offered us bottle water and ask if we needed our phones charged. He was a really interesting person. He also said he drives a school bus. He said he works at Safeco Field. I hope we get him as a driver again. read more

Wow! I am impressed. This was my first ever Lyft ride and it was amazing! The app was easy to use and I loved being able to know who the driver was and what kind of car he was driving and being able to follow his vehicle. I will be using them again tomorrow. read more
