WARNING: My friend had to be hospitalized for a broken wrist and mild concussion after being run into a median on 99 by vehicle #2162. He lost a week of work and countless hours of PT and other inconveniences. All because of this careless and dangerous behavior. Read the reviews! If you use this cab service you may save maybe $10-15 tops (if you save anything after their deceptive quotes), and feeding the likelihood that someone else, possibly yourself, may be seriously harmed by their reckless and erratic driving. read more

These guys are scum. They rushed us into their taxi one vehicle up from the taxi I was looking at with their rates in the side of their vehicle. So I was unaware that they belonged to a different company. So the ones in line before these guys were from the same place. Before getting in I asked if they only took cash or if they accepted debit. They said, "how ever you wish to pay sir." If anybody is aware of the area around SeaTac all I wanted was a short ride to the Dennys Nextdoor for my young son and I to go eat at while we waited for our connecting flight. It was less than a half of a mile ride. They charged me $23 Then the lying thief tells me cash only unless I want to pay a$5 fee for using the card reader. Would've been nice to know that before hand. These guys are crooks. Oh and the fare/rates for the other guys on the side of their doors posted that they started with the $5 pick up plus $3/mile. I could've saved $20+. I would not recommend but I certainly would advise against and urge others not to use these crooks. Make sure to see what taxi you are being rushed into read more

AWFUL! At the airport we were told 65 dollars. once we got to the hotel they changed it to 120. absolutely awful and do not recommend.

Do you love living on the edge? Maybe you find skydiving meh and basejumping blah. Or you just want to discover whether your life insurance policy really will pay out? Take one of these home from the airport for thrills and chills at 90 MPH down highway 99! You'll never feel so alive or grateful to be alive, if you are still alive. Buckle in as your driver practices for NASCAR in a tiny crapbox at midnight -- who knew the 99 tunnel's curves could be taken this fast! I didn't! Best of all, it's only $70 for the experience you can't have anywhere else. Legally, at least. I will never take an airport taxi home again. I've had late or not-great Uber and Lyft rides. Nothing has ever been this terrifying, expensive, and just dumb. read more

When I was trying to hail an Uber at the airport, they quoted me $125. They also couldn't locate me a driver. I had no choice but to take a cab. The cab driver had me enter in my address to his phone. He was the fastest driver I've ever had and I lived in New York City for 9 years. Got me from the airport to Fremont in 17 minutes in the middle of the day (vs 30 minute usual time). I was scared and impressed at the same time. His efficiency was next level. At the end I was charged $52 + $10 tip. It was half the cost of the Uber and likely half the time. If you're scared of speeding don't take this service. But if you value efficiency above all else, then it's the service for you. read more

I called the dispatch I was told it was around $60 for a ride to my house. When I went to the cab line at the Seattle International airport and met the cab the driver he put my bag in the trunk. I asked him what the cost was and he would not tell me. I told him I had to have a price before I got in. He would not give me a price. I asked him several times and he refused. I told him to take my luggage out of the car and he wouldn't at first. Then a guy standing on the sidewalk started telling him not to take my bag out of the car and started telling the other cab drivers to not give me a ride. I video taped the whole experience. This is the most unsafe cab experience I have ever had! I will be reporting this to the airport police. Please video tape this company to be sure you get the price you are quoted! Absolutely unprofessional. Got into the vehicle 2195, older gentleman. Requested I get in after I told him my address and said it would be $20 the closer we got to my house the higher the rate. This is an absolute scam, ALL of Seattle will probably only see this when they leave a negative review also. I will be contacting the airport as well as the city of Seattle, because this truly isn't fair nor ethical. Absolutely a scam and why I will take an Uber or Lyft from here on out. read more

This company's driver nearly collided with my car while speeding and swerving dangerously across lanes on East Marginal Way. When I called to report the driver, the dispatcher didn't know who was driving the vehicle, asked me to follow them and when I refused, told me "we are not the Washington State Patrol" in response to my report of the excessively dangerous driving by one of their staff. Rude, unprofessional and unsafe. Don't use this ride service if you want a safe and professional experience. read more

This company's drivers are extremely reckless!!! They cut across lanes without any regard to fellow motorists and will cross lanes at the last second almost causing accidents way more then I can count and they have a blatant disregard for the roads and use them as their own private playground! I've tried calling the company and there is never any answer! They need to be held accountable. read more

Driver said he would match Uber pricing for $44 and when we got to the destination charged $63. Lied about telling us he would match and that he has instead told us to go with "Uber". Exactly the reason why everyone uses Uber and Lyft now. read more

Driver collected me from SeaTac on Saturday. Drove out of the airport still inputting co ordinates for GPS into his phone and with no seat belt on. Erratic and cross lanes without looking. When I asked him to focus on driving because this was dangerous and I was scared, he laughed at me and told me to be quiet -at 74mph. I asked him to pull over and he wouldn't. At least he stopped laughing then. Got him to drop me early in Seattle and for an Uber to final destination. Horrible. read more

Took a cab home from the airport. Driver had a tough time understanding our address for GPS, no biggie, it happens. Then once we start moving it was clear we were in for an interesting ride. Lots of odd breaking and weaving in lane, once we got on the freeway it was complete white knuckle horror. This on top of his wipers not working, cars honking at us and the temp in the car was set to 80 degrees. I finally could not deal with this and told the driver I had to use the bathroom ASAP, we were able to bail on this hell ride in South Bellevue and are now safely living another day... do not use. read more

I caught a cab from the airport to my hotel. This is for a business trip and I forgot my receipt. I have called the company multiple times and used their online form to contact them. They keep saying they will send it but never do. The driver on the other hand was very cool. read more

They do not even deserve a star. Driver on cab # 2231 was very rude. He did not want to drive me once he found out that my destination was near the airport. He told me to take the hotel shuttle instead. He overcharged me for a 2 minute cab ride - $16!. He did not turn on a meter nor inform me of the estimated price beforehand. When I told him that I thought the ride was overpriced he said he did not care and he drove off quickly. read more

Felt threatened by the driver. I had been using them (or eastside for hire before) because of the competitive rates and because they are easily available at the airport. Always paid the same rate never heard a complaint. However this time the driver tried to charge me the per mile rate and when I pointed out the posted rate for my zip code he first pretended not to find it in his price list. When I showed it to him he started cursing at me. Will avoid them from now on. read more

Last Saturday, the 27th February 2018 We need a cab from SEA Airport to our home. We needed a van because I have a manual wheelchair and walker plus luggage. There were 3 people. We live at 15627 47th Ave. S, Tukwila 98188. We were shocked when the driver said 26.00. We have taken a accessible van many times and the fare was 12-14 dollars. We also tipped 4.00. I think the # of the cab was 2128? The driver was good, but the fare was outrageous. We paid cash. I should have said no, gotten everything out and called Yellow cab or uber. I am going to make a report to the Port of Seattle and maybe Jesse Jones. We will never fall for that again. Plus, the driver made the time limit to get back in line directly. We took eight minuets to get home, so I am sure he made the the 20 minuet limit to go directly to the airport again. We were ripped off. Never use them! read more

{Pending an update} 8/28/2018 - My son accidentally left his backpack in cab # 2902 after a ride home from SeaTac airport this afternoon. We have called their super several times and left messages. What I'd like to see is this organization have a means to acknowledge that you've made a request about your item, or, perhaps empower their dispatch to notify the driver. My son is only 8, so he's heartbroken. I hope that we're able to get his backpack back. **The driver was a lovely professional gentleman and was very kind. I have zero complaints about our driver.** read more

I hired a Flat Rate for Hire taxi last night to take me from the taxi queue at Sea-Tac Airport to an address in zip code 98148. As it was midnight and I was tired, I was charged $21 (and some change) and paid it leaving a tip. This morning, I looked online and the flat rate listed on the Flat Rate for Hire website was $15. I called the the company and was transferred to a supervisor who informed me that the rate was indeed $15 however there was nothing she could do as she had no way to identify the driver. She also informed me that people who take taxis from the airport should always take a photo of the taxi they ride in as there are many drivers working for her company who scam their customers and overcharge on a regular basis! read more

Have used many times. Sometimes I need to 'remind' the drivers of their flat rate. Last time they tried to charge me ten dollars more than the actual rate. And then the machine asks you for a 20 percent minimum tip! Customers, every FRFH cab has a list of flat rates and they are required to apply these and show it to you upon request. I wish the managers would insist their drivers apply the flat rate up front and without trickery. Still use them because it usually beats the standard metered fare (although not always since the tunnel surcharge was added). read more

The driver swiped my credit card using his phone but then told me it wasn't working and made me pay cash. After he drove away, I got a receipt thru Square - he took my cash, charged my card, and gave himself a generous tip using my credit card. I'm definitely disputing this transaction. Super shady company. Use Uber or Lyft to avoid this garbage. read more

I was taking cab #2159 to SEA airport from work downtown. When he opened the trunk to put in my luggage, there was a wheelchair there and he looked 'puzzled' why the wheelchair was there. So we ended up putting my luggage on the back seat. During my trip there, the driver asked me whether it was ok to stop and get a gas since it was slightly less than half (around 45%). He was saying that he was supposed to switch with another driver after dropping me off to the airport and the rule was to leave the gas at least 50%. I said ok, and the gas he was getting was an E85 (ethanol based) from a special gas station. One thing I don't understand is that he was filling the cab around 5 minutes, yet, the gas indicator once he drove the car only went up to slightly more than half (around 65%). So either the pump was not working or an E85 takes more than 5 minutes to fill up the tank completely. He also made a comment that another driver was using his car earlier and suspected that one of the passengers might have forgotten the wheelchair. He said that he had no clue how to return the wheelchair. Ok, who would have forgotten a wheelchair to begin with? Also, couldn't he get a hold of the previous driver to find out about a wheelchair and/or contact the taxi's main office? I was ok with everything until I get to the airport and when I was ready to pay for the fare, the driver said he preferred CASH. First of all, who is carrying cash nowadays for more than $40 in the wallet? I told him that since this is a business trip, I don't have cash and I have a corporate credit card. He was annoyed and finally pulled out a card reader and completed transactions there. I have been traveling for work for almost 15 years and this is the first time in the U.S. that a taxi driver prefers CASH instead of a credit card. If I were traveling outside the U.S., which I have done many times, I can see why someone prefers CASH instead of a card. Since almost all taxis in the U.S. are equipped with a card reader, I won't pay with cash. I am very disappointed with the driver and the company and will definitely be very careful in choosing a more reliable taxi company when I go to Seattle next time. read more

My girlfriend's phone slipped out of her purse last night while getting dropped off by a Flat Rate for Hire cab. I've spent an hour on the phone, with the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced, only to be told at the end of the double transfer that I would need to call back tomorrow when the "lost phone team is available". Customer service is an easy thing to overlook, but when you do it can really determine whether or not people will ever call you / use your service again. In this case, we will be using another service going forward. read more

Do not use this taxi company! For the second time in two weeks the driver has tried to charge me more money than the right fare. The first driver grudgingly relented and gave me the cash difference back, the second driver, today, disagreed with me for almost ten minutes because she was certain that my zip code was incorrect. Beware. Especially of the driver of #2288 Ahmad Boru. On Oct 15, he ran a red light when I had a green light. I couldn't stop in time. He claims he had the green light. When you see the blue and yellow, keep going! How shocking to come home from my Flat Rate For Hire experience in which I had to call the police to find, other than their friends, their ratings are in the toilet. Then Mr. Charming wants to charge me $9.00 for a 3 minute ride from Pike Place Mkt to 5th and Jackson, a fare that would've been $5.00 any other way, WHAT? Incredibly rude driver. After reading all of the reviews I wish I would not have used this company. We had to use them for ride home from the airport and they driver quoted a ridiculous fare and so I questioned it. I agree with all the other negative reviews. Very high "flat rate" prices. Charged me 70% more than Uber or Lyft for a ride from the airport to downtown.
