I have had a very frustrating experience with "Seattle Town Car". I had arranged for a town car to pick up my mother-in-law in Sequim, WA to bring her to Seattle for a legal mediation meeting on 11/13/17 and drive her back on 11/15/17. At first, all the arrangements went smoothly. As it turned out, I needed to cancel this pickup both ways which I notified them well in advance on 10/28/17. To my surprise I received my credit card bill showing they had charged me on 10/25/17 for both legs of the trip a full three weeks in advance before they had even done the service! After repeated calls, I became suspicious when the names of the company kept changing from "Seattle Town Car", then answered as "Seattle Ride", "Airport Ride" and "My Ride". Each time I was assured I would be credited, but it never happened. On another call, the person I spoke to said they had cancelled the rides on their schedule, but I was supposed to send an email to their business office which I did, but again no response or action was taken. The last call I made, they initially claimed they never got the email request, then verified they had received it, and I would hear from them in 2 working days ~ but again nothing. I contacted MC, and they credited me back the amount, and opened a claim against them. In looking at the Yelp reviews, I see there is another company with a very similar name but a very good reputation, so please be cautious when arranging transportation. Seattle Town Car offered us a minimum rate of $99 for a 10 minute drive. We thought it was expensive, but were too busy to shop around, so we made the reservation. We called back to ask them some questions and it came out that this was for a wedding. They told us that because it was a wedding, the price would be $240. $240 for a 10 minute drive. I had unfortunately found this company through a google search and scheduled pick up via their website. I did not review yelp prior to booking. Mistake. Reasons for believing this company is gone/fake/scam are: 1. No functioning phone number 2. No real human contact or company face 3. Car did not arrive 4. No response or answer for car not arriving When I scheduled online via their website, a confirmation e-mail was generated. When I realized I had marked the wrong date I proceeded to call the number listed on their website. Phone number is not working. When I e-mailed them, I did receive a response. Stating that they were able to make the date change, however no new confirmation e-mail was sent. When the day for my scheduled ride came, no vehicle arrived. Update #2: This company contacted me late at night last Friday about the negative review and claimed that they would issue a refund for the erroneus charge, but only in exchange for taking down this review ... which is ridiculous. I agreed to increase the review by one star and update the review if they issued the refund, but they insisted on me taking down the review completely and then the call ended. The refund has not been issued so it appears this review has now become a bargaining chip for a refund for a ride I never took. I've never had experience so poor with any business in my life. Update to my original review. After attempting to contact multiple times, I finally get an email saying once they receive driver report that a refund would be given. As asinine as that sounds, I gave it a chance. Well, the refund never came, but instead, an entirely new charge for $54 was processed on my card. Infuriated, I attempt contact again. Multiple times. No answer. A day later, a new charge for $3 on my card. Why? I still have yet to hear from anyone at the company. Thankfully my credit card company let me dispute the charges, and recoup my money's. I was visiting Seattle earlier in August, with family and our Avis rental car broke down. There was a gaming convention in town and Uber was estimating wait times of over 20 minutes. No thanks. Google for a Seattle cab service and Seattle Town Car popped up with pretty good Yelp reviews. From the time I called for pick up near Pike Market, and the time it took for the driver to get to us - I'd estimate under 10 minutes. Pretty amazing for traditional cab service. Driver was friendly and polite, giving us local recommendations for food, sight seeing, and his personal fave spots. My family and I got back to our hotel, changed and got another town car to take us to dinner. Would highly recommend and definitely call again if I am in town. read more

No show!!! We booked a car to pick our daughter up after a long flight from the east coast. She was getting in at night and we wanted to make sure she had a nice safe comfortable ride to her home. Seattle Town Car never showed up. Never called her, and didn't call us to say they wouldn't be there. I tried to call them when she didn't hear from them and guess what?? It went to voice mail! Over and over it went to voice mail. Not exactly the 24/7 service they talk about on their website! My daughters flight was delayed but I have dealt with car services in Portland OR, Boston MA and NY for years and that has never ever been a problem. They track your flight and show up when it does. Requested a quote online, the tab immediately goes to "Make a reservation". I did it anyway, and never got any confirmation email. I called to ask what the price would be and see if I could get a confirmation email, and the representative was rude and acted like I was inconveniencing HIM. I do not exaggerate when I say he actually told me he was "about to go on his lunch" so he didn't know if he could help. WHAT? I thought we came to an agreement that I only wanted a quote and didn't want to set a reservation yet, and by the end of the call he said, "Okay so you just confirmed your reservation, I'll get someone to resend the email" (the one I never got). I said, I don't want to confirm anything as I am comparing prices at the moment. He said, "So do you want to cancel or not cause you should just tell me now." THE "ON TIME GUARANTEE" IS A LIE In December, 2013, I hired Seattle Town Car for transportation to the airport, because they advertise an on-time guarantee. When I made the reservation, I told them we had an international flight, and they suggested the pick up time for the following day. They did not show up. After I called them numerous times, repeatedly reassured that the car was "almost there" (total BS), a car showed up 75 minutes late. We were so late to the airport that we missed the mandatory check in time and therefore our flight, and therefore our connection. We ended up having to pay a $200 per person fee to change the date of the connecting flight and had to spend two days at the Travelodge outside of LAX, and arrived at our destination two days late. The incident cost us over $750. The worst part is that when I did let Yaz at Seattle Town Car know how much the error cost us, he completely ignored us and refused to even apologize or anything! So much for his "on time guarantee," huh? One funny (sad) thing was that in the car on the way to the airport, someone called in from dispatch indicating another client was calling in and their ride to the airport with STC was over an hour late, too! So we were not the only ones who had been stood up. Oh, but I heard them agree to give the guy a $5 discount for the trouble. (Seriously!!) I strongly recommend choosing a different transportation service. There is a risk Seattle Town Car will not get you to your destination on time. If you've got something important going on like, say, an international flight. They apparently don't even care enough to issue an apology if their error costs you two days of your life and nearly a thousand dollars. Let me be very clear about this - there was absolutely nothing that we did wrong. We did not give the wrong address. We did not have a miscommunication as to time. They were just simply "losing reservations" that weekend, as was told to us. And rather than send someone right when we called the first time, Yaz kept blowing us off telling us someone was coming when, in fact, no one was on their way (later he explained it was because he was "trying to sleep" and "figured" someone would come). If you had similar problems with Seattle Town Car, you should consider filing a small claims case against them for breach of contract. In King County, the cost of filing a small claims case is only $35. The first step in the process is to do a web search for "Small Claims Court Overview - King County Washington" and review the website. If you have further questions, you can contact the King County Clerk of Court at (206) 296-9300. The website and the clerk will both assist you with filling out the Notice of Claim form and serving it on Seattle Town Car, which is required. You will want to outline the facts in your Notice of Claim, and make a claim for breach of contract, if STC refused to honor their on-time-guarantee as they did with us. read more

Worst experience ever. They never showed up for my reservation for international flight. When I called no one picked up even after trying for 45 mins. It would put on automatic hold and transfer to mailbox after a while. I had to get a yellow cab at the very last minute and rushed through everything just to make the flight. We used Seattle Town car to get home from a lovely two week vacation on 1/2/2016. When we called to schedule we were told our ride from the airport would be $47.50 as does the reservation confirmation in my email so you can say we were a bit surprised when we were charged $66 as we had tipped the driver in cash that evening. I have sent 2 emails over the course of the past week and a half that have gone unanswered. I have called 5 times now, originally on 1/4/16 after noticing the charge and was told a refund would process. Even though I had to call back later to try and get ahold of someone who actually understood my issue I thought no big deal I will give them a few days....I called back on 1/7 just to check the status and was told it was now with their finance department and I should expect a call no later than 1/11. 1/11 came and went with no response from the company so I gave them another call today. 1/13, to see what the status was and I was told that they had no record of a refund ever being requested and I would need to email them.....I just saved myself some time and disputed the additional charge with my amex and wish I wouldn't have even tipped my driver as I am told he was the one who ran my card for the $66. I honestly think a full refund would be nice since I have wasted so much time trying to fix their error. Seattle Town Car is the place for you, if you like being treated shabbily and jerked around. Expect to be interrupted. And enjoy a conversation sprinkled liberally with such friendly snippets as "I have told you three times already," and "you are being uncooperative!" I selected Seattle Town Car because they had such a fine reputation on Yelp. I was arranging a ride home from the airport for my son and his family. Early this morning STC quoted me a price of $178.00. That is three times the usual fare, so I said no thanks. The fellow asked me to hold a minute. I did, and he returned with an offer of $80.00. I agreed, and paid by credit card. In the middle of the afternoon, STC called me back to inform me that the agent had made a mistake - it would actually cost $180.00. I replied that the whole thing started with me rejecting $178.00, so no. And I suggested that he put the supervisor on. At first, he told me there wasn't one. Then he did put the supervisor on, but the supervisor held officiously to his position. The message is clear: they have too many clients already, and they don't need you. I called the next car service on the list, A-ABC Transportation. Very friendly, and they quoted me a price of $50.00. read more

Called ahead to book a car and this is how that experience went: - Phone answered on 2nd ring and pleasant lady answers. - She quotes me a straightforward and very reasonable rate (only slightly higher than taxi). - She's not rushed and listens well as she takes down my info. - I revise my pickup time to later and she gives me some very useful detail that makes me reverse that. - She tells me my driver will text 5 mins before gets there and that he'll try to arrive 5 mins early--but that I shouldn't feel rushed. We made a last-minute reservation online for a very early morning pick-up. We got a confirmation right away. Five minutes before our scheduled appointment, the driver texted us that we was here, but that we should take our time. The town car was sleek and clean and golden. It smelled amazing inside. At only $5 more than a taxi or $9 more than a shared shuttle, we figure why not at $45. Made reservations online for both trips from/to the airport for the Marriott Waterfront a week ahead. As soon as I turned on my phone after we landed, there was a text waiting for from the driver asking me to call him as soon as we got our bags. Only had to wait about 5 minutes after calling him and it only too that long because the crazy amount of cars he had to navigate through. The car was clean and the driver was fun to talk to. I ordered the town car at 10pm the night before a 6:30am flight. Received an automatic email confirmation quoting $55 from 98117 to SeaTac. At 3:50am I received a text message saying "I'm here." Guessed it was the driver but that wasn't very professional. Nonetheless, I texted back that we wouldn't be ready until 4:15. He said "ok." The car was clean and quiet. The driver was courteous and professional. He asked us our preferred route and radio station. He got us there on time. We paid the $55 +tip with a credit card upon arrival and he wasn't upset about that. (Some drivers are.) Four stars because I was able to reserve last minute but the first contact was a little weird. I ordered a Taxi for Christmas afternoon. The dispatcher was very nice and easy to understand. The taxi arrived almost 10 min. early and gave me a courtesy call. When I came out I saw a shining and clean car both outside and inside. It was a great starter for my holiday vacation. The driver asked me what route I preferred which I always appreciate.
