Took a nice little vacation to Seattle recently. We planned on going somewhere nice for dinner one of the nights. Instead of getting an Uber, which could turn the night into a total disaster, as it has before for me. We opted for a town car service. Aces was the first thing that popped up. Looked super legit from the reviews, so we figured give it a shot. I gotta say, we weren't disappointed, came right on time. The car was super clean inside, didn't smell like some weird food that the driver had been eating, like has happened to me in an Uber. The driver was super polite, didn't try to make conversation, as we were talking amongst ourselves. Overall great experience. If you're looking to upgrade and know exactly what you're getting yourself into, I would highly suggest this car service over something like Uber, a cab, or that one with the pink mustache. read more

They do not offer phone service any longer and I have sent two emails to their reservations email with no response. Hard to get new business if you don't respond to people. I have a multi day transportation need with special circumstances that require a longer explanation than what I can put in their online booking services. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

I found Aces For Hire because we were looking on Yelp for a reliable ride to the courthouse, for our marriage ceremony, so that we could elope. I was determined not to find myself in the position of waiting around, looking out the window, wondering if Yellow or Orange Cab would show up. But I was also not willing to spend a fortune to hire a silly British coach or a limo or some other decadently stupid form of transportation. I just wanted to "get to the chapel on time" in a clean ride. I was wearing a pretty dress, after all. I call, ask about pricing (which was essentially the same as Yellow and Orange), make reservation... Aces For Hire shows up not only ON TIME, but EARLY. And then nicely, politely, generously waits for us to finish up and get our butts out of the house. At the courthouse, we try to confirm that they do take credit cards. "No. I don't take credit cards, or cash for this trip. Happy Wedding!" Whoa. That's good business. I hire Aces to pick us up in a couple of hours, and to take us to the airport the next morning. I also call Aces while standing in line for customs at LAX on our return trip. And will do so again, and again, and again. You should too. read more

Loved the experience we have had with Aces! I booked based on YELP reviews and they never disappoint. The service is usually not for me but for my guests or clients. I use Aces when my "hip" downtown visitors need a ride to the Amtrak or SEATAC. This will not replace British Motorcoach .. if you get my drift... But the service is perfect for the .com friends that need rides from the work-place to the transportation-place. I never write reviews (who has the time?). However, I have to write this to help you all out. We just used Aces twice from our home to the airport and back. The first journey was just fine. They sent an experienced driver and proper car (4WD) (though the driver said his company doesn't like them to use the 4WD due to expense of gas usage). The second journey was terrible. The inexperienced driver had "Never driven in snow before." He told us AFTER we were in his car. They had given him a rear-wheeled vehicle. The driver couldn't make it up a small hill without coaching and convincing. He wanted to drop my family of four (including two kids) and several bags almost 1/2mile from our house in the dark, in the snow! With coaching he made it to our house and we got out. However, back at the same area, he called US to help him get out of the snow just as we were getting into bed (long international flight, so it was about 4am equivalent for us). He begged for a shovel instead of calling the company owners or a tow truck. Literally begged like he was afraid of the company backlash. After an hour in the rain, my husband came home soaked to the bone. Again, Abdul refused to call for a tow truck or the company. My husband drove there in our SUV with our shovel and helped and stood there trying to coach him. With a lot of shoveling of slush and coaching multiple times from my spouse, he got out of the neighborhood. It was absolutely ridiculous. Meanwhile, I tried calling and texting Aces. Due to cost, they have discontinued phone support. The text message was a robot response that told me to call or email. Be warned!! They only email. They did not respond to me until the next day. In my emails, I explained the entire situation, inconvenience and unprofessionalism. I asked for a refund for this passage as well as the tip. I didn't get a response until the next day REFUSING any kind of refund of the passage or the tip! They said we got home, so they performed the service. Be warned, this is a very unprofessional company. It is fine if all goes well, but if you have any challenges you will be dealing with untrained drivers, improper vehicles and terrible customer service. So, it turns out the driver WAS afraid to call his supervisor/company! Do you really want to give them business when they treat employees and clients this way? Don't say I didn't warn you. =) Un-edited email response from the owner: "Please thank your husband for helping Abdul after he got stuck down the road. Abdul really appreciates the help and use of a shovel. Your husband is a good man for helping someone in need of help. I've looked at the trips that were serviced from your home to the airport on 12/26/21 and the service provided on 1/2/22 from the airport to your home. Call records and text records show that these services were completed on time and as directed. After review we've determined that no refund is warranted as services were provided both from and to your home. The car service I used to use more or less disappeared when the pandemic took hold. Thus the daunting task of find a new way to get to and from the airport. Behold! Aces! First. The ride *TO* the airport. Our driver arrived on time, helped load our luggage, car was clean and comfortable, and provided an easy breezy ride. Second. The ride *FROM* the airport...well...Seattle decided to get a dumping of snow. Add in holidays and Covid cases running rampant...my flight was delayed a couple of times. Aces was great in helping me get back home after landing. I did need to be a little flexible because I was coming in much later than originally planned but my whole day was being flexible and just rolling with it. Their communication was stellar. You really couldn't ask for more. Top notch! And I have a new reliable car service. :) read more

Seems almost too good to be true, eh? All these 5 star reviews? Many from seasoned Yelpers? Well, I need to add my own review to the ranks here. Aces is everything they're cracked up to be, and more. I had a bad experience trying to book a Seatac job with another towncar company (see my review for Cordial Limo), and I was left scrambling to find reliable transportation home after an extended trip. Luckily, I discovered Aces for Hire on Yelp. I emailed them a query about booking a job three weeks hence, and they responded immediately. I confirmed the job via email and they immediately emailed me a confirmation. I had no cell phone service while away, so I needed to know that this was all set up prior to my leaving. After the trip, upon returning to Seatac, the towncar was right there. It was clean and in pristine condition. Our driver, Mike, was as pleasant as could be, and he drove us home safely (I've had cab rides in the past that curdled our toes....and not in a good way). We chatted and he was such a nice, normal guy. We made it home in good time, and I was charged exactly the price I was quoted three weeks earlier. And Mike emailed me my receipt immediately. No surprises, and they did exactly everything they said. Terrific service! read more

Traveled to Seattle last week and used two different car services because the Yelp ratings were so good for both I couldn't chose! I must say neither disappointed! Aces was a few dollars more than the other company but the friendly driver more than made up for that. Also, they never asked me for a credit card prior to picking me up and I was able to pay cash. Both services were clean, professional, prompt and got me where I needed to go in comfort and style. This company deserves it's 5 star rating! read more

I was a bit behind hopping the bus to Burien, so I said screw it, I'm gonna give these guys a call. Roger (was it?) answered and picked me. He was a cool & friendly dude who I think usually does the day shift. From Pioneer Square to Burien, it was a great value and ride. A pleasant and smooth experience. I used Aces in 2019 for a cruise and they were amazing. HOWEVER, this time in 2023 it was a terrible experience. I sent them an email saying Delta had changed our flight time and it was critical we depart as soon as we get off the ship at 0730. The wife and I bought new luggage so we could self-debark to expedite getting off the ship. We even tested walking around with our new bags to make sure we could walk off the cruise ship with all our bags. We were on a two-week vacation so that was super tough to do with our luggage. On debarkation day we were the second people off the cruise ship and when we got to the SUVs parked at the cruise port, we were bombarded by drivers asking if we needed a ride. We said "No" multiple times and that we had booked with Aces. I looked around and found no one looking for us. I even started asking drivers as they passed us if they were Aces. I tried to call the company, but its number said due to staffing issues we would need to email. I emailed our reservation thread, and they said our chauffeur was there and texting us and wanted to confirm my number. Doesn't seem too bad but when you have two hours to get from the cruise port to the plane it is pure chaos in real time. Instead of telling us what car to look for they wanted to confirm the number I gave them was correct. We received no texts or calls from the driver. I even sent Aces my phone records for that day showing no incoming texts or phone calls from anyone. The records even show the number they had was indeed correct and they insist it is my fault for leaving and no refund will be given. Perhaps I could have waited longer and hoped for the best, but I did not. I made a decision and left since the clock was ticking and I could not find them. No one wants to email back and forth with super tight timelines and other drivers all over the place telling you to just go with them. I wish I could give Aces a 1/2 star rating since sending me a vehicle plate number could have solved the whole issue. I mean millions of people do the same thing every day with Uber and that seems to work out ok. I will never use this company again. read more

Do not use them now. I have in past years and given them five stars, but my interaction yesterday was total frustration. I wanted to change the time of my ride tomorrow. First there is no phone support. The message tells you to go to the website which is under construction or to call the number for which there is no support. In order to make changes I had to click on get a quote and leave a message in the notes section. Now they did get back to me with an email, but it was way too involved to try and contact them. Going in to get a quote and then leave a note was way to complicated. Once they email you back, you have a contact, but I was very dissatisfied and cancelled my whole booking. read more

Best car service experience ever. Easy online reservation system with a fast confirmation. He read my message that my address doesn't match the GPS coordinates and called for instructions. When I called at 6 AM to see if they could come earlier than my requested 6:30 AM pickup-- totally unreasonable on my part-- he totally obliged and showed up little early. Then, for two people with lots of luggage between Sand Point and Amtrak, I only paid $25 plus tip. Would have been sooooo much more with Super Shuttle or Yellow Cab. Aces has been on my list to try for awhile now, following Katy's (and Kate's) excellent reviews. I emailed them to set up a ride to the train station Thursday morning and got an email confirmation back within a few hours. Timm texted me when he arrived and we had fun chatting on the short drive down to the station. They take credit cards, which is awesome, and quite fun as they've got a cool iPad system that can even email you a receipt if you want. $10 plus tip was perfectly reasonable and much nicer than riding the bus or paying crazy overnight parking rates in downtown. I enjoyed my ride down to the station so much that I texted from the train to see if they could give me a ride back home. Within 30 minutes, I had a reply from Alexei who picked me up and zipped me back home. I absolutely love businesses that will communicate via text or email messages and save me having to talk on the phone, so Aces is now my #1 choice of cabs. Thanks guys!! read more

I used Aces to get to and from a Valentine's day dinner and it worked out perfect. Our driver was cool and really easy to talk to. The service was awesome. He even called, right on time, to let us know he had arrived for the pick-up after dinner. For about the same price as a plastic-interior-multi-colored cab, you can get to and from in a clean and roomy Lincoln Town Car. I think the one we rode in was even a 'Cartier' edition. I would easily choose Aces over getting a luxury rental for special occasions. Heck, the price is reasonable enough to where I can afford to call for even non-special occasions like getting home from the bar. I am very happy I called Aces and that I know I can call them for future rides. Super rad. read more

Booked them for Prom. They were excellent. Booked them again at 2:00 am for a 4:45 am trip. They came and picked me up. One thing that I love is the flat rate as well as the texting! I love being able to text my transportation. This morning, Aces picked me up promptly in rainy weather and got me where I needed to be. The driver understood that I hadn't had a lot of sleep and chatted with me still. Which completely made my morning. I don't think that I'll ever use another car service in town. I was in Seattle for a very short visit this week and needed to get from my Hostel in Belltown to the Showbox Sodo. I was thinking about taking the bus to the show, but had gotten my fill of creepy people for the week and really just wanted to relax and not have to wait at a bus stop or deal with a bus at all. I found Aces here on Yelp and I gave them a call around noon the day of my show. Timm was really great when I booked my rides and even let me know that I could TEXT them to make sure my show would be over at 11:30. The ride to the show was wonderful. Right on time, super comfy, Kyle was my driver and was very friendly and easy to chat with. 11:10 rolls around and the band starts their first encore, which is just about perfect timing for me. I text Aces and let them know that the encore is on and they respond, "sounds great!". I walk out after the show and *walla*, there is that beautiful black town car just for me as everyone else stands in the street to hail a cab. And the best part? I don't know if this is standard, but they charged me $16 round trip. $16 (before tip, which they deserve lots of!) for a clean, comfortable, SAFE ride with a friendly driver that is cooperative with your event and arrives right on time. This company is fantastic. I've never been excited to tell other people about a car service, but I've told as many people as I could and will use them every time I'm in Seattle. :) read more

My car was in the shop (again) and so i had to take a cab home from work (again). Crown Black had an hour wait (probably because I called at 11pm on a Friday) and I was trying to get my drink on, so that wouldn't do. I remembered that I had started following a new car company on Twitter, and decided to give them a shot. The stars must have aligned because Aces came and picked me up within 15 minutes. The car was nice, the driver was great, and the price was perfect. I'm excited there is another towncar company in town, and I look forward to riding with Aces again. read more

Wow. Fantastic service. I was out running and ran out of steam in an unfamiliar part of town, no money on me, and decided to try my luck with a cab. Found these guys on Yelp. When he picked me up in a very nice towncar, he offered me a huge bottle of water, which I graciously took, and chatted with me on the ride home. I love that there are locals competing with the taxi services. I was able to get a ride to the airport this morning using Aces For Hire black car service. The driver was right on time and was very pleasant. The car was clean and mucho comfortable. There was also something very refreshing with the fact that the driver spoke and understood english. Wow. I will never take a taxi again if I can avoid it. These guys cost less than a cab (by about $5, but still) for a trip to the airport from the University District, and the experience was wayyyyy better. The driver was friendly (which is way more than I can say for most taxis), the car was clean and spacious, and the service was very prompt. We listened to good music (last time I ordered a car service the guy played country after we told him we were flying to North Carolina... Not all people who travel to the south like country music, mmkay). Additionally, we called them less than 12 hours in advance, and it was no problem at all. They're also totally cool with credit cards, which, again, is more than I can say for most taxis. Finally--and this is silly--but they have totally sweet business cards. read more

ACES is AWESOME! I was heading out of town for a friend's bachelorette party and had a flight I needed to catch. I called an inferior crown car service, I mean town car and was told they couldn't accommodate my request. I emailed ACES and received a call back within 30 minutes saying that although they couldn't do my requested pick-up time of 8AM they could do 7:45AM. DONE! Melanie our driver was prompt, the car was clean and we even had heated seats if we had wanted to use them. One of the other good parts: $35 from Capitol Hill to the airport. Oh yea! I think I've found my new airport transport. I just need to remember to make a reservation far enough in advance since they do book up. read more

So. Impressed. My husband and I decided to book a towncar service for our guests at the end of our July 4th wedding. By the end of the day, we had also used them to transport the bridal party to and from the hair salon as well as transportation for family members looking for an easy way to reach our venue. Timm and his team were excellent. The day of service was smooth, professional and fun with a little of the laid back feeling that fit us to a tee. What set them above and beyond? Days before our wedding, tragedy struck, and one of the two towncars we had reserved became suddenly out of commission. Without a moment of hesitation, Timm rented another vehicle (surely cancelling out whatever profit they made from our business). He even called a few days ahead of time to touch base and ensure that my overwhelmed bridal brain could rest easy with at least one detail of the planning process. Our guests were so thrilled to have the towncars available at the end of the night, and nothing starts a wedding day better than climbing into a clean, comfy ride with a friendly driver (Timm himself drove the bridal party) and an IPOD from which to choose my wedding day tunes. Final bonus? The salon was running behind day of, so we just texted Timm to let him know, and without a hitch he adjusted our pick-up schedule without any stress or problems. After getting the run around from the airport, and spending an obscene amount of money on another service that may or may not have been yellow, I was given Aces number, and Kyle saved my life by taking me everywhere I needed to go during my trip! They are prompt, they know their way around town, and they won't take all of your money along with your limbs! Plus, the guys are incredibly fun and easy to get along with, so you won't be burdened with awkward conversation like other cab services. I had an important client in town that needed to be driven around town for three days. He uses a wheelchair, although he doesn't require a wheelchair-accessible vehicle. The staff was accommodating and friendly for him. The times were flexible, so the driver for each day communicated directly with the client's dad. The sales staff was also really easy to work with during the reservation process. I reached out to another company and they replied with a really curt, short email - really offputting. The staff here called back same day, spoke in the evening, and made the process easy. On top of that, the prices were better than competitors. read more

Never again will I be seen on a street corner trying to hail down a dingy yellow cab, so long as I've got Aces programmed in my phone! I love this service so much that I actually look forward to sharing it with my out-of-towner co-workers travelling from Canada, and friends/family coming to visit. Not only is Aces generally the same price as a cab, they're often CHEAPER! On top of that, you get a much more pleasant experience riding in a plush town car vs. a sketchy taxi that smells like a wet dog half of the time. I've used Aces for a short trip from Belltown to Capitol Hill on a HECTIC Friday night, and my driver Mike was a rockstar about finding me and rescuing me from the bro-crowd that was blossoming at the midnight hour (those of you who frequent Belltown know what I'm talking about, ugh). I appreciate that they also let me sit in the front if I want to (hey, sometimes it's nice to chat you know?) and even ask me what music I'd like to listen to! I've also used Aces as a shuttle from my house to SEATAC, which rounds out to about $40 give or take. If you do some price checking on airport shuttles, you'll see that this is pretty standard, so why not opt for a private town car? Plus, my driver that time (Alex I think?) was super chatty and cheerful even at 4AM. Maybe I'm a little biased because I totally dig the fact that their drivers have tats, are real, and super down to earth, but I know for a fact that I won't opt for a different cab/car service if I don't have to :) To the reviewer who claimed Mike called her a nasty name, I highly doubt that as he's super chill and I just can't imagine him doing something like that. OH, and bonus points for asking if I want to be programmed into their customer database (for nights you're too tired to even explain where you live, they'll just look you up, nice). read more

I like these guys. There is no shortage of car and transport options in this town, so I'll keep it simple. Presently I use these guys in my airport travels. They show up on time (with a conversation ahead of time), they're cheaper than way less pleasant alternatives, they process credit cards via Square, and those that I've met prove to be cool dudes. At about half of Uber prices, they're worth thinking about in just about any travel context where you aren't planning on driving. read more
