It's very hard finding a shop that specializes in quality Russian/ dry manicures and pedicures with quality polishes and where everyone can do intricate nail art. Luxy Nails is the one ! The shop is smaller and you will have to pay for parking which can be scarce. But it's extremely clean. And the best part are the huge lounge chairs that lay all the way way back , the cushions for your legs and the option to have your manicure and pedicure done at the same time to save time !!!!!! It's a game changer. I spent 209 because my nail art was detailed and on every nail and this included the pedicure and fee for dual service. If I had not had this much design work it would've been 160 ish and that is extremely comparable to all of the other ones I've had and it matches the quality and location of service. Hello, I booked an appointment for your services, and unfortunately the entire experience felt rushed. A service that was supposed to last an hour was completed in only 40 minutes. The technician did not properly clean my nails and even filed them incorrectly -- my nails are now shaped unevenly and going in different directions. When I mentioned this issue to the receptionist, the only response I received was an apology, but no effort was made to fix the problem. Additionally, we booked 3 different services, and for every single one we received the bare minimum level of care. We expected much better service, especially considering the price, but instead we felt like we were being rushed the entire time. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I have paid much less at other salons and received significantly better service and attention to detail. Who can I speak with regarding this issue? Is there any way to resolve this situation? They sold me at the ability to multitask my beauty maintenance, so being able to get my nails and lashes done at the same time was heaven. The setup at Luxy Nails makes it easy to relax -- soft blankets, superrrr comfy chairs, clean space, and everyone is friendly. I even dozed off mid-service, which says a lot about how comfortable it was! Now for results -- my nails turned out fine, but the lashes were a miss for me. I asked for light volume, provided a lash map, and still left with something that felt more classic than what I am used to. Retention wasn't great either. Still, the convenience can't be beat. Terrible experience, horrible hygiene, lack of communication of explaining what the service will be or what to expect, and HUGE scammers! My first impression off that bat, was how dirty this place is, chairs were dirty, dingy, and stained. The tools were not individually clean and brand new for each client (they were dirty, and beat down), nail files were disgustingly overly used. Most salons ask clients to wash their hands pre- service, I found it disgusting that they don't require that of clients while using the same dirty tools on each person. The color selection is terrible, they barely have anything and didn't have any other basic colors other salons will usually carry. Trying to choose a color, I had my "manicure" began as another nail technician tried to help me find the color I was looking for, after I said no to the first ring of color swatches that I did not see the color that I'm looking for, she immediately got impatient with an attitude like "just pick a color already". Anyway. Proceeding to the manicure, I only wanted no chip manicure and pedicure- but failed to explain to me that they are going to apply this pink gel and add no chip on top- NEVER had gel, and I thought it was so unnecessary to use and it feels so uncomfortable. The shape? Absolutely HORRENDOUS. I've gone to a lot of chop shops, and they have all done a better filing job than what I received here. It's like they cannot file a decent shape or evenly unless you get nail extensions- which I did not get, I like my nails short, as I need them short for my job. Also, cuticles were cut too deep on two different fingers. And the pedicure? Wasn't comfortable as a traditional pedicure. They have recliner chairs which is fluffy to feel cozy, but it's uncomfortable and awkward keeping your legs and knees up the whole time- also, again the chair covers were disgusting and stained , as if they don't not replace the covers for at least a month (they should be changed a lot more frequently, most especially when a fresh stain is made). I did not like that the staff wasn't friendly, wasn't personable, made it very clear that they did not gaf about anything but getting the service over with. I really enjoy at nail salons the nail technicians will try to make small talk to get to know you, and make you feel comfortable with them by talking with you- no matter how broken their English is, they would try; these girls?!?! No, they didn't care to talk, just get the service over with to shoe you along to the next. The pedicure was also terrible shaping. I don't appreciate having bulky nails from the gel, and lack of filing, while using so many dirty objects. This place was so filthy, whoever said this place is "clean" obviously has never cleaned or practiced sanitary precautions or has ever gotten licensed for it. They need to hire someone to clean this place. The floors, chairs (EVERY CHAIR) the desks, the drawers, the tools, the arm and foot stands, the brushes, the jars, the bottles of acetone or alcohol they use for their service- all need someone to just clean and sanitize. My fingers AND toes are still burning from the cuts they made - TWO different artists that cut me. The pedicure was dry (just like the manicure) and upcharged too! I booked the same time service thinking I should get out of there quickly back to what I needed to do to save time- WRONG. I should've went with a basic regular nail shop down my street, they would've spent 2 hours for my hands and toes for a basic no chip mani and pedi that I actually wanted, would've used fresh sanitized tools, would've given me a more luxurious treatment with care, and relaxation, would've had better customer service quality, would've been transparent for any upcharges before beginning of service, all for a fraction of the price for what I paid here at this nasty salon. For the same time service that I booked online, I chose a pedicure but they failed to tell me before service that they will upcharge it to a "smart pedicure" due to it being difficult to do the one I chose- but it wasn't different than the manicure had booked- they just took the opportunity to upcharge me literally as I am about to pay, so I had no choice to do anything. The pedicure or manicure had no massage, which i find as the best part to any single nail SALON. My toes are still dry and crustier than what they were coming in there with. I wish I never wasted my time here, but they brand their shop with these glorified videos from local social media influencers and thought this place was going to be worth the try- since it was so OVERLY hyped. So made that I could never get that time back, wasted so much money, have something I do not want and now stuck with needing to remove this cheap quality nails. I got a manicure and a pedicure from two different technicians which is totally fine. My issue is that during my manicure the technician went too far on two of my fingers cuticles causing me to bleed and on my pedicure the technician also went too far also causing me to bleed on two toes. Both times causing me to wince. I wasn't super concerned about it and thought it was normal until i talked to people who normally do russians and have never been cut. For how expensive it is I would expect a little more careful work. Will not be coming again. If two different technicians cut me I don't have high hopes for the rest sorry! read more

The salon itself is nice and clean. I'm giving two stars due to the service I received from nail technician Rose. After checking in, I was seated at Rose's station. When she arrived, she immediately began removing my gel polish using the drill. The drill speed was extremely high, and the heat was uncomfortable enough that I had to pull my hand back twice. She then asked what color I wanted for my European gel manicure. I explained that this was my first visit and that I wasn't familiar with their color selection. She brought samples, and while I was reviewing them, she continued working on one hand. I clearly asked her multiple times not to cut my cuticles too short. Despite this, she continued cutting them shorter each time I asked her to stop. It wasn't until she nicked me that she stopped cutting. The scrubbing of my nails and cuticles was also very harsh. As a result, my nails and cuticles were sore and sensitive for three days after the service. I'm willing to give the salon another try with a different technician, especially since another customer I spoke with on my way out shared the same concern about Rose and mentioned being much happier after switching technicians. read more

I came here for a Russian manicure because my usual place is a bit far from me. The place looks cute and welcoming. My tech was pretty good although a little intense on my cuticles. The selection of colors is not as large and diverse as I was hoping for (I couldn't find a good red in gel). Also, their pedicure chairs are a bit different. Instead of having your feet down, they have you prop them up on the seat. It may look comfortable but I found it to be an extremely uncomfortable position to be in. My first experience at this salon was great. Unfortunately, my second visit was very different. I was there for 4 1/2 hours with my friend, seeing multiple nail techs. After leaving a review about that experience, the owner reached out, asking me to take it down and offered me 35% off for another visit. When I returned, the tech I saw kept burning my nails during the service. When I mentioned it, she brushed it off, saying it was normal. The finished result was bulky and not what I expected. At checkout, I was told I would only receive 30% off, with the remaining 5% promised for my "next visit." Both services were done simultaneously while I relaxed in a recliner. The shop was very clean, each member of the staff was friendly, and they took care to make sure that I was happy with the color and shape and offered me alternatives based on their professional opinion. I live down the block and wanted to give this spot a chance. It was hands down the WORST MANICURE I've ever received. I have very strong, long and thick natural nails. I came in for a regular manicure but this manicurist insisted on using this tool to thin out my nails? By the end of the day 9 out of 10 of my nails had completely broken off!! My nails never break but from her making them thin and brittle, they all broke. The nail polish was chipped by the second day too.
