This place is way over hyped. I went in for the first time for a brow wax and they were running behind. The girl spent only a minute asking me about my brow goals before she waxed me. And the wax itself took two minutes and she didn't do any trimming or eyebrow clean up, so I had to go home and tweeze. After taking off my make up when I got home, I realized she also removed too much from the tail of one of my brows. So now I have to wait for it to grow back in. $48 later and a waste of time and money. It's a cute place and they are nice, but quality doesn't match the price. read more

Very expensive for what the service actually is. I had a 20 year-old do my eyebrows, with not much experience. It felt strange that I'm being charged $40 (tip not included in that) to get a brow wax from someone this young and not all that experienced. She did a good job, but for the prices here, the brow specialists should be ones who have been doing this for years. Fantastic experience and result. Initially booked a lamination and tint with anyone available, but the morning of I got a text from the business saying the initial stylist was out, and Maggie could take care of me. What a blessing in disguise! Context: I've never done anything to my brows because they are difficult. I have sparse and weirdly shaped brows, and have always put make up on them to be somewhat presentable. Maggie was honest with the initial consultation, and made me feel good about doing a wax and tint to get my brows to a desired shape. She showed me what lamination will look like for my brows, and it ultimately wasn't the service to get me to my desired result. I trusted her, and they turned out wonderful. She says a tint lasts ~7 days on average. The space is clean, all the staff had fun Xmas sweaters on, and they offer water/juice/soda too. I scheduled an eyebrow wax and tint and with tip, it cost me $90. The staff are friendly but their work quality is very poor. The technician waxed just under my eyebrows and then failed to remove the hair a bit lower, so there is now a lone strip of fine baby hair on each eyelid, below the brow and above my eyelid fold. I didn't notice while I was in the salon so didn't request she finish waxing me. Also, the technician brushed the tint on the top of my eyebrows but didn't apply the tint to my eyelash roots, so they are now light underneath and dark on top. Moreover, she didn't shape my brows, which was my primary goal after not having touched my brows for over a year. I wasted time and money at Maggie's Eyebrows. If you want beautiful brows, go somewhere else. read more

No time was wasted at her station. I love that this salon allows their employees to wear cozy sweatshirts, too! It made me feel more relaxed. Idk you be the judge-- they were nice people but I followed instructions and my eyelashes look exactly as they did prior to the treatment. They look like a before picture. The ends of my lashes are blond and they don't really look more lifted than they usually do....I haven't washed anything or touched them at all. haven't done anything. She did put Vaseline on my eyelids after my lift and there is still glue attached to me but minimal if any color or lift. I really wanted to believe I had results .... And I thought I saw a little something as I left... but then the lashes dried and the color was mostly gone. I had a bad feeling as I left and just didn't know what to do and I didn't know better. I've been getting my brows done at Maggie Eyebrows for about 3 years now! I used to get my brows done in the suburbs, but once I moved to the city, I had to find a new beauty salon. I did a ton of research before I decided to trust Maggie with my eyebrows. Maggie is the best! My brows look perfect every time I leave the salon. I even remember the first time I went in. Instead of rushing and waxing my brows right away, she took the time to ask me what I wanted my brows to look like and discuss what would look good on me. She also takes her time to make sure my brows look great every single time! This year, I started getting lash lifts by Brittney. And WOW. I don't know why I didn't get lash lifts sooner. I have very straight hair so my eyelashes stick straight out. I always had to curl my eyelashes multiple times to get them to stay curled. But even then, my lashes would uncurl by the end of the day. If you have straight eyelashes, you NEED to get a lash lift. It may seem kind of pricey, but they last me about 4-6 weeks, so it's totally worth it! Brittney is great and will make sure your lashes look amazing! Also, have you seen the salon?! It's so cute inside! I really wanted to love this place and was looking forward to recommending it my friends since the concept is so good but I just didn't have the best experience. Made an appointment online the system was good, I had a question and received a response which I appreciated. Went it during lunch and wasn't greeted. A little awakes standing at the counter for a few minutes before being told to sit in the waiting area which is in the back. No biggie. Then was seen 14 minutes late. It might not seem like a big deal but for an apt. That is only 15 minutes that's a little crazy. I would also hope that the salon realizes it's midday during the week. We're busy women trying to cram everything in so promptness is always appreciated. When my brow specialist was ready a manager (I'm assuming) told her to just use the station they moved me to. Also fine. But there was uncomfortable attitude coming from the specialist toward the manager since her station wasn't set up. She seemed knowledgeable about brows and offered advice on shape and tint tone. Leaving I was satisfied. Once I got home and wasn't rushed to get back to the office I got a closer view and there were many many spots where hair should have been removed. I contacted the salon asking for a touch up with the waxing...not once, not twice, but three times with no response or message back. This was really unappreciated considering the $65 cost on top of the overly communicative nature of the appointment reminders. I kid you not I received 4 text messages and 4 emails in less than 36 hours reminding me of my appointment. Some came after confirming. ‍ All in all the brows were okay- $65 is steep for what I walked away with but with some operational Improvmeents id be inclined to rate the experience in its entirety higher than 3 stars. read more

I've always been terrified of waxing because I've had friends tell me of terrible experiences. Taylor showed me the error in my ways. The waxing was very quick and pretty painless. She also listened to what I wanted and gave input on what she thought would work. She asked me what I thought every step of the way.
