Yanna is amazing! I just moved to Chicago a few months ago and had been on the search for a lash lift place, and very picky about who I go to since I have long lashes, and needed to go to someone who had multiple size rods for the lift and can customize to my length. I was worried the lashes would be too curled as I've seen it happen before, but felt very comfortable with her working on me. She was extremely accommodating as I had to reschedule my appointment and very easy to get in touch with through email and answer my questions. The lash lift is beautiful and her studio is very relaxing, I am definitely going back to her again when I need another lift. I've been going to Yanna since 2017 and no other lash technician compares. I was skeptical at getting extensions at first because I have very sensitive skin- but for the past 5 years I've never had a reaction or any problems with the lashes. I always get SO many compliments on my lashes. My lashes look so natural that I forget I even have extensions on. Firstly and most importantly, Yanna is a wonderful person. If for no other reason, I love seeing her every two weeks because she is always positive, upbeat, and has me laughing! I did my research when I moved here from California and it seemed like Yanna was the best choice - she works on her own and uses quality lashes and glue (equating to little shedding and beautiful growout). Fast forward over a year and I am still seeing her regularly. She is meticulous with her work and customizes lashes to your eye shape. One afternoon after an appointment I looked at my eyelashes and literally texted her, "Yanna, what did you do this time?! They look so beautiful and whispy!" She tweaked one thing without me even asking because she is just that intuitive and knows her sh*t. The only problem you'll have with Yanna is that you'll never want to stop seeing her! I am obsessed with Lashes by Yanna! I found out about Yanna through a friend - I was so amazed by my friend's lashes because they looked so full and long but also so natural - I really thought they were her lashes. So I asked her how she got her lashes to look that beautiful and then she told me she had them done with Yanna! So I decided to book Yanna for my wedding day lashes and I was SO amazed! I absolutely LOVED how they look. They look so natural but also so beautiful and thick. Her studio is also so nice to be in - it's warm and inviting, very clean, smells really good, decorated so nicely, and she has great music playing in the background and you get to lay on a super cozy bed right by the window while she does your lashes. I had never had my lashes done before so I was pretty nervous, but she is super friendly and calming. Honestly, the first time I met her, it somehow felt like we had known each other for years. She was so fun and easy to chat with. She helped my nerves go away, and I didn't feel anything while she was putting the lashes on! It was so relaxing and peaceful. So the process is amazing and the final result is amazing. I got soooo many compliments on my lashes - even a professional makeup artist who also does lashes told me that she was very impressed with mine and she could tell that they were very well done. The lashes also last a while - about a month or maybe even more. I used to wear mascara everyday, but mascara is hard to wash off, gets in my eyes and irritates my eyes, gets clumpy and flaky, and I think was also giving me pimples - my skin seems to have cleared up ever since not using mascara anymore. Because of how beautiful and effortless Yanna's lashes are, I am thinking to start going regularly to get them done instead of wearing mascara. I initially just got them for my wedding, but I love them so much I may just stick with them :) One other thing I loved - she does a few test lashes during your consultation visit to make sure there's no allergic reaction. My skin is pretty sensitive so I was a little bit worried about having a reaction, but there were no issues at all! I was nervous about getting lash extensions for the first time. What if I have a bad reaction? What if my eyes burn? How can I lay there for two hours? Yanna quickly put me at ease. We did a consultation to figure out what style of lashes that I wanted, then I just laid there with my eyes closed and she worked her magic. My lashes looked fantastic! Plus, she is very approachable and easy to talk to, so spending two hours talking to her made the time fly by. I didn't experience any burning or discomfort and thankfully I didn't have a bad reaction to the glue (which wouldn't have been her fault, but you never know until you try it- and I have sensitive skin!). I am 3 weeks into my first lash extensions. I have done a good amount of research prior to my first visit and even though I knew I found a great professional, I was still terrified of having some sorts of allergic reaction, looking like a clown or losing all my natural lashes. As you may guess, nothing like that has happened. Yanna is not only a sweet person and a great communicator, but she sure knows what she's doing. I am about to get my first fill, but so far the lashes kept up great, I did not use any mascara since my visit and could sure go more without needing a fill. The only warning is that once you get into lashes, it will be hard to let go of the amazing convenience and looking great without any eye makeup. I know some people say the lash extensions in general are very high maintenance but I did not experience anything like that. I wash my face using a special face cloth so I don't need to splash water all over my face, but my lashes got wet many times under the shower and they still look great. Definitely made my life easier and morning/evening routine smoother! read more

Goodbye Mascara!!! I love my lashes. This is the first time I had lashes put on so I was not sure what to expect. The lashes lasted for about 5 weeks before I needed to have a fill-in. I love Yanna!!!! She has so much knowledge and she's been my esthetician for years! When she told me she is expanding into lashes I could not have been more excited. Yanna is AMAZING!! This was my first experience with lash extensions and I used Yelp to find several salons that did them. Even though when I booked, Yanna only had 12 reviews, all 12 were incredibly positive, where as other salons had mixed reviews. I expressed to Yanna that it was my first time and she had me come in a week before my appointment for a test run to make sure I would not have an allergic reaction. I love her space. It's evident that she truly takes pride in her work and values her customers. I got my lashes done for a Mexican vacation and because of her availability, I had to get them done 5 days before I even left for my vacation. While on vacation, I spent five days in the sun, pool, ocean, and two straight hours bawling my eyes out and my lashes still looked fabulous. I got so many compliments on them and they helped me to slay all vacation long sans makeup. Two weeks later, they are still looking good. Yanna is amazing! My lashes look absolutely gorgeous! Yanna is very friendly and accommodating. We chatted the for some time while she was doing my lashes - and it was great. She is very experienced and does a wonderful job. She takes her time, but is also very efficient. What's nice is that Yanna evaluated my face, eyes, and lashes in order to find the best fit for me. She recommended a straight, long but subtle curl for my lashes, which look great! The lashes she uses are great quality. The space she runs her business from is very chic and clean. Sitting for 1.5-2 hours can get a little chilly, so she put a blanket on me without me asking, which shows the level of care and dedication she has for her clients. I've done my lashes elsewhere and I would have to bring my jacket, but Yanna is much more prepared!
