This place genuinely ruined my life. I came for a lash lift and tint last summer. I've had one at another place, no problem, and was warned/reminded beforehand to remove my contacts. I had brought glasses with me this day, but was in such a rush after taking the train and was NOT reminded to. I then remembered about half way thru, and told her. I asked if I should remove them, She nervously said yes. That same day I started having horrible eye stabbing pains, went to my eye doctor who said I had chemical burns on both eyes which have led to horrible, life ruining pain/conplications. I do not wish what happened to me on my worst enemy, and all I can really say is be weary/careful when doing any 'beauty treatments', as you may ruin your life. read more

I know how to take care of them and I know artists who are truly pros when it comes to thin short Asian lashes who can still give me a full look. I paid for a full set semi-dramatic ($300 with tip) and they looked pretty and natural but definitely not as full or have volume as I go for and explained before hand. When I got home I noticed some lashes didn't even have lashes applied. And again I paid for a full set. I told her after I would like to try a dramatic set to fill because it looked first day as if I was already in 2 weeks. When they shed and fell out off of my lashes very quickly I decided to go elsewhere. Someone with more experience filling in Asian thin lashes for the money I'm paying. I went early last year to Lash Luxe with a gift certificate I was given. It was good work. I was pleased with my lashes. COVID precautions went into effect throughout the year and when I tried making an appointment for my lashes last month I was told I could no longer use my last two appointments because it had been over a year and my certificate was no longer valid. I am very disappointed considering last year was a an odd year for everyone and we were all suppose to be careful with COVID hence why I didn't make an appointments. Now that I am vaccinated I figured it would okay to make an appointment for my lashes, I don't think it was fair for my certificate to not be considered valid anymore. While the technician was very personable, detail oriented and experienced, I was not pleased with the results I received with the amount that I paid. I had a keratin lash lift and tint, and no one, including me, could tell that I had anything done. I have naturally short and curly lashes. I would have expected the technician would have looked at the results and did one of two things: (1) say I didn't have to pay the full amount. or (2) recommend I get lash extensions to get the look I was going for. Listen, Ladies. Yetta is the BEST! I had worn fake lashes (strips) for years and years and finally decided it was no longer worth the hassle (or the damage to my natural lashes - WOOF). She was so patient and so incredibly helpful in answering all of my questions. I made my appointment right after via StyleSeat (so easy and convenient). Day of the appointment: I got to her suite (which is SO cute and cozy!) a few mins early and she was ready to go. She explained the whole process to me and got to work, still answering the other 72 questions I had come up with as she worked her magic ;) bonus: she's so fast!! I felt like I had just laid down when she was done! End result: My lashes look AMAZING! Her work is beautiful and she is an absolute doll to be around! Of course when I came back to Chicago I had to find a place that would do the full-ins. Let me start by saying the lash artist herself is so sweet. That being said, I will never come back. My normal lash artist was out of town so I booked a fill in here. I had an appointment at 1 and was about 10 minutes late. She said she had an appointment at 2, and could only do 50 mins for me. Totally fine! My fault. So, I get my lashes done and they look good. Not super full, but again, my fault, plus, they looked natural so I was happy. Fast forward 3 days, they are ALL coming off! It's been 10 days and each eye has about 4 lashes left. I've had lashes for years so I know how to take care of them. I cannot figure out why on earth they all came out! I've been going here for almost a year and always walk out with an amazing customized set of lashes. I've tried out a couple of other places including Chicago lashes and they don't event come close to comparing. She takes great care to give you the look you want every time, customizing it to your standards. Try doing that at a salon and they'll just wedge you into the "Kim k" or "natural" look category. ****UPDATE***** The owner kindly reached out to me and apologized for not returning my email. I understand how things fall through the cracks (happens to everyone). She offered to take a look at my lashes and redo the lift if necessary without charge. I did go in and show her what was going on with my lashes (all of the tangling and weirdly crimped lashes) and she redid the lift. However, the same issue occurred. My lashes are still weirdly crimped, like they were lifted too close to the ends rather than all along the base. Some of the lashes turned out great but they get lost in the shuffle. The owner offered to straighten/relax them for me but I'm just going to let it all grow out. I don't think I'd get another lift or recommend them to others. It seems like some people have great results but she couldn't determine why my lashes were having such an odd result so I don't think I'd risk it. I do appreciate her reaching out to me and being very professional in our follow up visit. ---------------- Original review: This was my first time getting a keratin lash lift and tint. The lashes at the outer corners of my eyes are really weirdly bent now. I can't put mascara on them because they have such an odd shape. Some aren't lifted at all while others looked like they were bent too far backwards. It's a mess. I don't know if this is normal for what a lash lift is supposed to be like. I emailed my concerns to the woman who did the lift and she responded only to my question about when I could get them wet (not to my concern about the way the lashes ar. Yetta was so wonderful and patient with me as I asked her a million questions. My lashes came out great, the last lift is subtle but so beautiful. I am a first-time customer with Lash Luxe and I can securely say that it will be my last time bringing my business to her! To begin, I purchased a set of mink lashes for $155 after a $20 discount for paying cash and was told that they would last up to a few weeks. I was also notified that I would have to come back within a week or so for refills, which was not a problem. To my dismay, the lashes began falling off less than a week later! Despite me showering with goggles to ensure they would not get water damage, adjusting my sleeping positions at night, and handling them delicately altogether, they still fell off one by one! Seeing as how the lashes were expensive and advertised as having a longevity of more than a couple of weeks, I called the woman to request a touch up and possible reapplication done. (Side note: the lashes began to fall off during the labor day weekend, so I waited until after labor day to notify her of this as I imagined that she was not assisting customers during the holiday weekend). When she did not return my call or respond to my voicemail, I texted her instead and have attached screenshots of the conversation. She was completely unwilling to fix the faulty mink lashes for free, but rather expect me to pay her again as her "policy states you have 3 days from the appointment to claim a free fix". Within the conversation, she stated that she was just getting back in town after the labor day weekend, so it was evident that she was not assisting customers during the time period. In addition to this, she also states that her response to me was delayed because she was responding to other customers who also messaged her during the holiday weekend. Why would the policy still be in place during this time? Why would she not care to fix a problem that a first-time customer had no control over? It is evident that she was not discussing anything work related during the weekend, so why is the policy suddenly enacted whenever it is convenient for her? After going back and forth with her through text and with no success, I've concluded that she does not care to satisfy the concerns of her customers! My business will no longer be brought to her because, as of now, I threw away $165 on a product that was poorly advertised and faulty altogether! read more

Unfortunately my right lashes lost 20% in the first two days. I was so careful and followed all the rules of lash care. 1 week and 2 days later all my lashes have fallen off. I don't like writing bad reviews, but my experience is very close to another reviewer. Yetta's personality is lovely, but it stops there. As a first timer, I had lashes applied and were happy with the results as soon as I seen them. However, the next day I woke up to fallen extensions on my pillow and face--all which had fell from the right eye. (I hadn't even taken a shower or washed face since application). I knew right away that the glue could not have been professional grade. Also it looked as if some extensions were glued to 2 lashes (clustered?) But that may be normal--I'm not sure. Within 4-5days of service, 90% of extensions on right eye completely fell off. Only a few remained. (I was very sad). The other eye started to fall out between day 7-8. Today is day 9 and I have maybe 2 remaining on left eye. I was really wanting to return for a fill, but after spending $150 for less than a week of full lashes--it would be stupid of me to return. Once a better glue is used, I will consider being a return customer. read more

And my lashes have stayed looking great after a lot of beating - travel, wearing a sleep mask, mascara, swimming pools, hot tubs, cooking, you name it, I've put them through it.
