If you're reading this and haven't gone yet--please DONT. I rarely write reviews, but after giving this salon multiple chances over the course of more than a year, I feel obligated to warn others. I have tried every single person in this salon for both manicures and pedicures, and unfortunately the quality is consistently poor. At best, the work is careless; at worst, it has caused real damage to my nails. Over time, my nails went from healthy to severely thinned, brittle, and painful. Improper filing, aggressive cutting, and poor technique caused ingrown nails and hangnails, and my nails were left so thin they were essentially paper-like. I now have to "retrain" my nails to grow straight again because of how badly they were cut and filed. The owner is rude and dismissive. On one occasion, he actually criticized the condition of my nails--nails he himself had done two weeks earlier. Most recently, after a particularly bad service in January, the damage became painful. When I returned for help, I was told I should have come in sooner--even though I work full-time and the salon closes at 7 p.m. on weekdays. When I did come back due to pain, they clipped off my no-chip polish on my toes, attempted to fix the issue, failed, and then simply painted over it instead of redoing the work properly. A week later, I returned again to have everything removed. I strongly advise not allowing the older gentleman to work on your hands or feet. His filing was so aggressive that another nail technician immediately pointed out the damage. You could clearly see where my nails had been unevenly and incorrectly cut. The photos show the difference: the "before" nails are thin, white, and damaged; the "after" shows what healthy nails look like when done properly by a competent professional. Despite explaining that my nails were painful and damaged due to their service, the owner still charged me $45 just to remove the product. I take responsibility for continuing to go back longer than I should have--it was close to my home and I kept hoping it would improve. I regret that decision deeply. My nails are now so weak and brittle that it will likely take 4-6 months before I can even paint them again. If you care about nail health, cleanliness, or proper technique, do not go to this salon!! Fast forward 5 days I popped in asking for them to be refilled as they did not file close enough to my cuticles thus they are lifting in the back. I was advised I should do an overlay!! Nails are crooked, uneven, missing spots of color, made me bleed several times. Took forever to get done. I would have had them corrected but I didn't want them hurting me anymore and if they couldn't see how bad they were then I don't trust them in correcting them. I'm happy to have found a great professional salon with kind friendly staff that are able to do a basic manicure routine and nail art well. I am sorry lol I wasn't greeted nicely like any other shop. It was like a chore to greet me. I brushed it off like an idiot. I waited 12 minutes and no one was in there, before I was seated. I saw and heard the owner/manager yelled at this man who was clearly homeless because he was in front of the store. He was there when I got there and on the other side when I left. She was really mean and the rest of the employees laughed as she yelled and walked back in. My gel mani aka no chip mani was terrible. This young man that did my nails who I assume is Danny, needs more training. I expressed that to the lady I assumed was the manager or owner. My nails look terrible and I got it done for an interview. My nails are uneven, filed all the way down and the color is bulky. I cannot scratch myself. Literally. I had to tell the young man to do it over because of how it looked. He continued to add coats after I told him it was bulky. He filed one of my nails down and I immediately told him that it needs to be done over. He did with no problem. He was very slow at doing my manicure. He polished two nails at a time and had me put my hands in the dryer every time he polished only two nails. Why didn't he polish the entire hand? Idk. The amount of cuticle oil he put on my nails was too much and he didn't get the access oil off. He then asked if I wanted lotion instead of putting it on and spraying my nails with alcohol and wiped down. I proceeded to pay because I'm one to pay for all services and then give my input. (You may say I should've not paid). I then talked to the lady I assumed was the manager or owner. She refused to tell me if she was one or the other. So I let her know what the problem was and I didn't get anything from her. No apology, no "let me do it over", no discount for next time, nothing. I told her he needs to be retrained. She didn't care. I came in at 10:06am and left at 11:12am. FOR A MANICURE! Don't go here. It's my fault for trusting a place that I did not look at the reviews and did not know. Hopefully the hiring manager doesn't see how ugly my nails are. I'm so sad about this. It looks like my 11 year old son did it. This is a review for a specific nail tech, not the overall business. I came in and a very helpful woman greeted me and sent me to a male nail tech. As i was picking my color, he was standing over my shoulder staring the whole time. I tried to take my time but felt very rushed to pick a color and ended up picking something I didn't love due to the pressure. During the appointment, i asked him EIGHT different times if he could make them shorter, which he repeated after "shorter, okay" and never once went to make them shorter upon request. 2 other female nail techs came over to translate and tell him, again, that I wanted them shorter. He told them okay as well, and never cut them down. He coughed in his hand and proceeded to immediately touch my hand again right after. My nails are so sore !! from how my hands were being treated, and I have more hang nails right now than I have ever had in my life. Genuinely cannot believe this person is employed. I should've stood up for myself harder but I would think after asking 8 times for something, it would be understood. Absolutely the most horrible experience of my life in this place. I went in for a gel fill in and for some reason the lady was selling me hard on dipping, which I have never tried before. I agreed to it, and I picked out the color I wanted. Throughout the first hand I kept asking the nail tech if that was the right color because it looked different from the one I chose. I asked her 5 times!!! She kept saying, yes! Its your color!! Well, first hand gets done and it's not the fucking color I chose! I bring out the color wheel and compare what I chose to what they put on me and they were like, "oopsie! We chose the wrong color!" After I asked the mail tech FIVE TIMES!! So their solution was to have me dip my nails in toxic acetone for 5 minutes then rip off the dip, (which is extremely damaging to nails) so.they could start over with the color I chose originally. I wasn't about to destroy my natural nails, so I asked for it to be done for free since it was there f*ck up, and she had the balls to tell me she would give me $5 off!! I said at the very least I deserve 50% off..I have to live with this color I HATE for the next month! She said she wouldn't do that either so I walked out with only one hand done in the wrong color! The Gel-x is cheaper than most in the city , but you get what you pay for. The first time I had gel-x here, my nails started popping off after just a week. I gave them another shot, and went in for a new set last week. The gel polish I chose was lumpy and old looking, and a week later the polish began chipping like crazy. I've been getting gel-x for over two years and have never experienced chipping polish before. I won't be back unless they can get better quality polish and better trained techs. read more

They have a great combo deal- I got a gel manicure and gel pedicure for $80! Can't beat that. Horrible experience. The man that did my pedicure was being weird. I had a long floor length maxi skirt on with shorts underneath and he was acting like it was inappropriate to even glance in my general direction. He did my entire pedicure not even looking at what he was doing. He was looking directly away from me the whole time. He put a dirty towel on my lap that had dried crusty white stuff on it and I did not even need a towel because I had a huge skirt on, I was fully covered. I went with my boyfriend and my friend. My boyfriend had to text me to tell me that my skirt was getting in the water because the guy was not looking at me so he didn't notice. If my skirt is long enough to get in the water then there is no reason for the crusty towel. Then he put the hot towel on me and left it on me the rest of the service to cover my legs for modesty so I just had a cold wet towel on me the whole time. I was shivering. My bf and friend had their towels taken off and I had mine left on me the entire time on purpose. He rushed the service and skimped me. My friends actually got a full massage and the person was actually looking at their feet and what they were doing instead of looking away the whole time. Then I got gel x nails and my nail was already half way off my finger and I told him that. He said "no it's not, you scared me" then finally took it off later because it was literally just floating on the tip of my finger. It was also burning my skin. He kept saying "next time come earlier" when I called hours in advance to make an appointment and asked for exactly those services. If you're going to rush and do a bad job then tell me on the phone you can't do it today instead of having me come in and waste my time and money. I felt so uncomfortable that he was acting like my legs were so inappropriate that he had to act all crazy and cover my legs with dirty and wet cold towels and not look at what he was doing. Afterwards, my friends were saying that they had a great experience and their feet felt so good and soft. They noticed yet the guy was being weird towards me and was being crazy and not even looking at what he was doing. He might as well just put a blindfold on and do my nails. My feet were dry and felt like he didn't even do anything. My toenails look like there's no top coat on them. I felt bad that he was acting that way about looking at me so I didnt look at him on purpose towards the end because he looked like he was too uncomfortable about doing my pedicure so I don't know if he even put top coat on. It's not shiny and looks like he only put polish. I wish I spoke up and said something but I felt very uncomfortable that he was acting that way towards me. I wanted to leave before he even finished and I should've but I didn't want to make a scene. Horrible experience. Such a waste of time and money. This was my first and last visit at this place. When I sat down I immediately showed the employee a picture of the nails I wanted with the color, length and shape. She then started to remove my old ones and only after that informed me that they don't have the color I wanted or anything similar. It was a natural rose color, nothing special snd something I thought every nail place should have. I don't get it why she didn't tell me that upfront so I could have looked for another place, instead she started the manicure and kinda forced me to pick a color I didn't even wanted. After I asked her if she had a similar color for me she just told me no in a rude way instead of helping me find or mix any of the available ones. After I decided on one she sadly applied the product so badly on my nails that they now look smeard and patchy, and some even have dust in them. After more than a week I have two infected nails, one broken one, a few with a visible breaks and 4 where the topcoat came off. Sadly not happy with the result at all and a waste of money. Omg! I cheated on my regular nail salon due to my busy work schedule, and I deeply regret this. This place is so unprofessional , and hardly anyone speaks English. A younger guy worked on my tips and was incredibly fast and sloppy. He smeared glue on my skin, and it burned, so I complained, but he didn't speak English. I spoke to another lady who recommended I take medicine. What!??? I told them to stop immediately and was transferred to a nice Spanish speaking lady named lily who did a nice job after I was deeply disturbed. While it appears clean, the nail tech rushed to finish my manicure, used an extremely rough nail file and used her nail to clean up the polish that got on my skin.
