The staff are all super nice and did a wonderful job (no cuts or bleeding ahah which happens sometimes during pedis but no they were perfect here!) I also liked their temporary shoes more than the rubber ones at other places and love that they give you a baggie with oil in it to put over your feet before putting shoes on to make sure that the polish doesn't get rubbed. I would wear flip flops normally but not during winter in Chicago of course, so I love that they pay extra attention and make sure your pedicure lasts :)

I've been getting waxed for over 8 years, so I've had my fair share of experiences, and I can honestly say this one was great. I found Waxing City Logan Square online and was able to grab a same day appointment, which was a huge plus. The location was easy to find, parking was simple, and check in took all of 30 seconds on the iPad. Alisha was amazing from start to finish. I warned her that I was coming back after a long break and told her I was hoping for a quick appointment. She laughed and got right to work. She was efficient, thorough, and somehow managed to keep me laughing the entire time. If you've ever had a Brazilian, you know a good conversation can be a lifesaver! The space was adorable, super clean, and had a really welcoming vibe. Most importantly, Alisha knew exactly what she was doing and paid attention to all the little details. Overall, a fantastic experience. I'll definitely be back, and I highly recommend booking with Alisha if you're looking for someone who is skilled, professional, and genuinely fun to chat with.

I have been a customer of this specific location for years, largely because of the terrific care…read moreI've received from all of the estheticians. Once I found my specific esthetician, she became the sole reason I continued to stay a customer. I have been on a consistent schedule with her for a long time and know exactly which dates she is available and what hours she works. I'm not sure what has happened with EWC over the last two months, but none of the esthetician schedules make sense anymore. They seem to be working completely different days and hours every single week, and there doesn't even appear to be a consistent pattern. Someone may work an entire shift twice one week, four times the next week, and then maybe only once the following week. I'm someone who likes to book my appointments three months in advance with a specific esthetician because I do not work a regular Monday through Friday schedule. I need to plan ahead, and I have always been able to do that with EWC. Unfortunately, I'm no longer able to consistently book with the same person because their schedules are constantly changing. EWC, whatever this new scheduling change is, it's not working. If the scheduling doesn't change soon, I will likely be leaving once I use the remainder of my passes because I can no longer reliably book my services with the esthetician I prefer. I really don't think this is a smart business move. I understand that schedules and staffing need to change, but completely removing consistency makes it very difficult for loyal customers to continue coming back. I think you will likely lose far more clientele than just myself if this continues. Once again, all of the estheticians are wonderful, and this review is not a reflection of the quality of their work or the care they provide. My concern is specifically with the inconsistency in how staff are being scheduled each week. The previous scheduling structure made it easy for loyal customers to plan ahead and stay with their preferred esthetician, and that consistency seems to have been completely lost. After moving around the country for a few years, EWC was the best option for me to be able to use my wax pass in just about any city, but the Logan Square location is by far one of the best I've been to. No wonder they always book up- but if you call in, they can put you on a wait list and are almost always able to get you in if you can give few good windows of time. The staff here is always super friendly and helpful- Cori at the front desk is always delightful and quick to help on the phone or in person, and the ladies here are some of the best. Over the years I've had Myah, Melanie, Sofia and Carli who are all fantastic. No one is super pushy about buying the products (they often even give out samples if you're interested). As long as you can stay on a ~4 week schedule, getting a wax here is fairly painless. My latest wax with Carli FLEW by, I swear she had me in and out in 10 min for a bikini; and I barely felt a thing. Not to mention that she had me perfectly distracted and laughing the entire time! I highly recommend visiting the Logan Square EWC location if you're in the market for some self care.

Mind you, I showered before I got a wax to prevent that HA! Waxing is such an intimate experience and the vibes have to be welcoming and warm. She was ripping away at my skin and I finally decided "yea I'd rather get laser then come back here every two weeks to feel like a burden"... sucks because I liked this place but that one experience messed it up for me.
