I've been coming to Salon Chic for years. The owner is such a delight, and they do really phenomenal work. I got a gel mani at the beginning of November for a destination wedding and here I am on December 3, finally soaking it off. It is still perfect! This mani lasted me through four flights, a week in the Dominican Republic, and then three more weeks in Chicago as I got back to work, deep cleaned my house, and decorated for the holidays. I dragged a whole Christmas tree inside with these nails. A+, Salon Chic. Incredible work. Edit: oh, and they got brand new massage chairs at some point between early November and early December!
First time at a nail salon in almost two years and very pleased with the service and cleanliness at Salon Chic. Stella did a great job creating the look I asked for based on a photo. The no chip manicure was $44 plus tip for the black French tip design. Will be back for sure!
10/10 recommend. Very clean and professional but also friendly. I highly recommend making an appointment because they're always busy. Although, I've done all walk-ins because my schedule is constantly changing and they've accommodated me every time. The No chip manicure lasts for exactly 14 days but I do wash my hands and use sanitizer a lot so that tends to deteriorate the polish a bit.
I am always treated like royalty when I walk in here. I love the professionalism and the genuine kindness all the employees are. It is definitely my go-to salon for my nails being on fleeeeek!
The only salon I'll ever go to in Chicago. I trust these ladies to do an excellent mani / pedi EVERY time. Trang, the owner, is also fantastic. She is so on top of scheduling, so fun to chat with, and does a killer gel manicure. She also puts up with my annoying obsession with my very particular nail shape. A saint, I tell you! The salon itself is clean, bright, and so comfortable too. I'm a customer for life!
Best mani pedi I've had in a long time! Ask for Aigerim, she did an amazing job - not to mention she has a really fascinating life story. Will definitely go back.
Clean, updated and reliable spot for a long lasting and excellent pedicure. They are busy so try to make an appointment in advance especially during the weekend. I've been able to walk-in during the weekday. Pedicures are $28 and they have a frequent customer program.
I've been here a handful of times and they always do an amazing job with my no chip manicures. My new go-to. Thanks all!
This salon is my favorite in the city. Great prices, great color selection, they try hard to fit your schedule and usually have same day availability but the quality of their manicures is best of all, never any polish on the cuticles and the techs take their time to make sure high quality that will last.. I've paid so much more at salons that don't look nearly as good around the cuticles/sides - the owner is in the shop daily and does an amazing job as well but I have never requested a specific tech and always get a high quality finished product
They do a great job with no chip nails at the average price of $35. Their guarantee policy of no chipping for up to 14 days is fantastic, which shows how confident they are. If anything happens with your nails within that time frame - stop in and get if fixed at no charge! Though- I'm prone to oily skin and nails so I'm curious to see how mine will hold up since this is my first time here. My friend swears by this place and she always has gray nails that last at least 3 weeks. Facilities are clean, staff is friendly. I went in during the afternoon in a week day so it wasn't too crowded and got served right away. *6/17 update* After nearly 2 weeks my nails are still holding up! While there will be some wear and tear (2 nails lifting up a bit ), there has been no signs of chipping. That's a first for me since I can never seem to have nails that don't chip after 5 days. For me to provide an update shows how satisfied I am with their no chip nail service and commitment to quality. Getting my nails done is a nice to have, but not necessary, so when I do, I'm pleased to find a salon that makes it worth your time and money.
Trang does an excellent job managing her salon. I first went to get a full no chip extension set a few weeks ago, and she advised me to just do regular no chip that day because my nail beds didn't look strong at the time so it wouldn't be good for them. Such a courteous thing to do, giving me honest/helpful advice rather than doing something unhealthy for me to take the extra $13. Also seems to treat her staff really well, clean space, and uses high quality polish (only OPI and Essie, no cheap shit). She and Alex have done a great job on my nails, long lasting and real attention to detail. Definitely my go to place now!

Came with my sister for pedis. This is her regular spot and I really loved it too! I love the ambiance it's not all white and bright lights like some salons, it's a lot warmer and more relaxing! The staff are all super nice and did a wonderful job (no cuts or bleeding ahah which happens sometimes during pedis but no they were perfect here!) I also liked their temporary shoes more than the rubber ones at other places and love that they give you a baggie with oil in it to put over your feet before putting shoes on to make sure that the polish doesn't get rubbed. I would wear flip flops normally but not during winter in Chicago of course, so I love that they pay extra attention and make sure your pedicure lasts :) read more

I've been going to Salon Chic for about two years now. I've been in Chicago for almost eight years, and I can confidently say that Salon Chic has been the best nail salon experience I've had since moving here. I personally see either Sharon or Trang but have also seen the work of other technicians who seem to deliver great quality from what I can tell. Beyond the results which are fantastic, I LOVE the vibe of this salon. I've been to other nail salons that seem a bit "flat" or give an unpleasant vibe. This is not the case with Salon Chic. Every time I walk in, I'm greeted with a smile, and you can really tell that the staff enjoys working together and cares for one another - cheesy but it makes a huge difference for me. Unless I move to another area where I can't easily get to Salon Chic, I will ALWAYS be a customer of theirs! Thank you, Salon Chic! :) read more

Quick, but also extremely relaxing service. Have a wide variety of colors other salons don't have (matte colors, neon, etc.) I almost always get gel for my fingers and regular polish for my toes and have never been disappointed. Cheaper than most other places in the area and better quality. read more

First time here - was not impressed nor pleased. Got my nails done by Estrella who was "fine," but definitely not super friendly. Got a lighter color for my nails and had to ask her to put on a second coat ... got the feeling she was trying to get away with doing the bare minimum. The other ladies at the salon were not very friendly either. Two days later my nails have already begun to chip. What a waste of $$ - will definitely NOT be returning. read more

I was loyal to Salon Chic until today. The young woman who did my nails was so adamant about the way she thought my nails should look. I told her multiple times I don't like silver and she kept insisting that would look best. I showed her pics of what I was thinking and she said it wouldn't look good. I also told her that I thought the color she picked out was too pink. She said it would look fine. I was fed up with her insistance that I just let her do what she wanted. Needless to say, I HATED the way my nails turned out. It was everything I voiced that I didn't want. I was too pissed at the time to say that I hated them to the woman's face. I went home upset and called an hour later after I calmed down. Trang has been nice on my occasions with her before, and I've had great experiences with some of her other staff. However, when I told her my experience today, Trang seemed annoyed asking why I would need the entire color changed. I told her again and she said well, is it fine if the same lady fixes it? I told her I preferred not and she said, "ugh, ok I'll find someone else." I didn't show up to my appointment because I can't imagine going back to be treated with disrespect. I didn't get an apology ovwe the phone but rather I got attitude. This is NOT customer service I would EVER pay for again. I should have just asked for someone else but I'm usually not the type to make a scene. I agree with the other yelper that they'll do a great job with cleaning but not great in making a customer happy with anything else. Goodbye Salon Chic read more

New to the Logan Square area I have been looking for my new go to nail salon and I think I've found it! Walked in on a Thursday evening around 5pm and there was no wait which was great. I picked out a color and was seated right away at a station. A man did my no chip and he did a good job, cut my cuticles, polished the nails etc. overall it was pretty quick and took maybe 30mins at most which was nice! My old nail salon had moisturizing gloves they put on your hands while it was under the LED light which was nice, I do wish they had that. Also which they offered a quick back massage during drying time. The place could use a little facelift/makeover, But overall for a $35 manicure it was good and I will be back! read more
A friend and I decided to book appointments to treat ourselves after the farmers market. The space is nice, clean, and relaxing. The mani/pedi I got and the no-chip mani my friend received were both good. My polish lasted much longer than normal! The one thing I didn't like was the acrylic overlay on one finger (needed since it grows with a week "stripe" and splits down the middle. It's kinda thick near the bottom of the nail. It's also not really sealed along the edges of my nail and began to lift away from the nail within a week. Pic is 12 days in. When these don't last it leads to more problems read more

This place will give you what you want if you know how to ask for it. Undeterred by the prima donnas who leave withering negative reviews when the goods or services they're buying don't come with obsequious a-s-kissing, I called ahead on a Friday afternoon for an appointment and while they were booked, they worked with me to get me in. My mani-pedi was perfect. The girls who worked there are fun and interesting but not outgoing and I simply don't care because the services I got were great! They opened up after a while and began chatting like we were a buncha old gal pals. read more

This was not a good experience at all. My technician cut me three times (twice during my manicure and once during my pedicure). She also was not gentle when handling my cuticles. It actually hurt to be serviced by her. I would rather stay home and do my own nails than be serviced by a technician that could care less about customer service. I feel like cutting people was something she was used to because she didn't even flinch when she cut me. Would not go back. Serviced by a young big boned Latina. Her appearance was very sloppy as she looked like she just came out of bed in her PINK sweats. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Salon Chic. The nail techs are all so kind and friendly, the services are good prices, and the results always exceed my expectations. I'm always looking to do something a little different and Trang (the shop owner) is always up to create something fun. Not only that, but they're always so willing to be flexible and accommodating, even with last minute appointments or changes. Definitely need to check them out if you haven't!! read more
This nail salon was great. We just recently moved over from uptown to this area and I wanted to try a nail salon that was walking distance away. We made an appointment because this place was packed. It was a pedicure for my self and my boyfriend and I got a no chip manicure. The cool thing about this place is BYOB, which next time we will certainly do. They were really nice and offered quality fast service. Kevin did my hands and feet and he was great! Also this is right next to a coffee shop, so if you're waiting you can definitely get a cup of coffee or explore the local stores around this salon! I'll definitely be coming back. read more
