I have been getting Russian manicures for the past 3 years from a nail technician. she is pregnant and I decided to try Love You Nails and they usually last 1 month +. I got my manicure done for the first time here at Love You Nails- paid $110, and they barely lasted a week! I've been back 3 times for them to repair my nails and I have to go back again cause they haven't even lasted two weeks! I have no idea what gel they use but it is not strong, hard or long lasting. This review is for the dazzle dry manicure and the regular pedicure. Overall my feet and hands look more refreshed. Pedicure was no frills and done dry similar to the mani. After the bulk of the pedicure work is done, they bring over a warm pitcher of water for a quick scrub. On the fence if I like the Russian mani more or less than a typical manicure. It's done dry so it is different. I got this done on Friday night and by Monday it was chipped. Paying 200-300 PLUS tip for chop shop results is unacceptable. I will not be going back. Today was my second and last visit. My first experience was brutal. The girl doing my nails didn't speak any English, so the front desk girl had to keep coming over to help find a color I was looking for and explain to the girl doing my nails that I didn't just want the base gel. Whole thing was awkward and uncomfortable. I ended up just saying yes to a color I didn't even like just to get a move on. The base of my cuticles were bleeding and sore from the manicure portion as well. My second experience with the girl who did my nails was better. She spoke English and was very sweet. However, my cuticles sting and one was bleeding while she did the manicure portion. The polish colors are cute, but there are missing gaps where the polish is supposed to be and my nails aren't even/smooth. For paying a premium price it shouldn't be the case. I also had a second time visit coupon for $10off (I was in one month ago), so I pulled it up on my phone and the girl said "oh sorry it expired two weeks ago." What? I could see if it had been months and months since I'd been there, but the manicure they did the first time was still on my nails. I work in real estate and my family has owned a successful business for over a century. I wouldn't behave this way with my clients or customers. Their lack of great service is appalling. Both times, I, as a customer, felt as if I was inconveniencing them or asking for something so out of the norm (asking for someone to help speak English to communicate and using a coupon). This place ruined my nails. I asked to keep the same shape I had (soft square/almond) and they gave me 90 degree angle nails. The gel is soooo chunky and thick it looks like I have globs of goo on my nails. I am so so very upset. I have worked so hard to grow my nails out and in 40 minutes they are ruined. This place is not for natural nail girls my nails are ruined due to excessive filing. My natural nails are super thin and brittle I now have to wait 6 weeks for them to recover. Do not go here if you have natural long nails. They are clearly not the experts on natural nails. They only won't to add tips and put gel over your natural nails and then sand it off and keep putting it on making your natural nails brittle and thin. I've been here about a dozen times and had a very mixed experience. Moving onto someplace else now. For background, I am a former nail tech and have performed these services or a similar services for customers probably hundreds of times. I've also received nail services about as many times. Overall what I can say is this is THE most expensive nail salon I have ever been to and I have had the most inconsistent experience of anywhere I've gone. First of all, expect the service to take about 2 hours, something I definitely wasn't prepared for the first couple times when I stopped by on my lunch break. Second, you will pay about $80 for a gel which lacks a spa experience of a soapy soak and massage. Just so you know what you're getting into. About half the time I walked out of there with amazing looking nails that were impeccable for a solid 2-2.5 weeks. They like to say these last 3-4 weeks, but realistically they look unbearable towards the end because they grow out. So, IMO not exactly worth the up charge. I was still getting my nails done about every 2 weeks and paying $20-30 more than gel at other salons. We all know gel polish is hard on your nails, but the way they do them is extra damaging. Not a big deal if you intend to keep up with them, but it is maintenance for sure. Everyone who works there is very pleasant and I believe sincerely wants to provide excellent customer service. However, communication is a struggle. It was frustrating how difficult it was to convey basics like the length and shape I like my nails. After struggling for a while to get this across, I'd just let them do it however they wanted and didn't always end up with the look I was going for. Most of the techs are good, but not all. Some are still learning and it takes about 2 hours to do a manicure. Others are experience but rush to do it in about 45-60 mins and get a little sloppy with the work. I found that after several months my nails were overly thick with built up product. They simply didn't achieve a full removal of the product every time and they got longer and thicker (and I couldn't communicate that I wanted them shorter and thinner). I finally had them remove everything and I'm in nail rehab now for a couple months while the damage grows out. Finally...one very strange and frustrating experience was about half the time I ended up with a very different color of polish than I asked for. I like to think I'm not TOO picky on this point, but it happened so many times that I'm just over this place. I mean a pink is a pink right? Any old light pink will work, right? But the color in the sample and the color in the bottle and the color on the nail often looked wildly different. Like pink looking like orange, etc. Surely they must have their polishes catalogued incorrectly. I don't know how else this would be such an issue. They are nice people. Most of the time they do a pretty good job. But if I'm going to pay more than I've ever paid for a nail service, I want something else. I want to have the shape and length of nails I prefer. I want to see on my nails the color I pointed to on the sample. And maybe a little TLC with the experience. For about $30 less I get all that at Pearl's Nails across the street. Or a half a dozen other spots in the neighborhood. I gave the a fair shake, but it's just not worth the up charge. read more

I was super excited when I saw a salon nearby doing dazzle dry, but don't be fooled! First they ruined my cuticles. The person used what looked like the instrument they use on people with fake nails. It was uncomfortable and when I got home I realized my cuticles were actually bleeding on multiple nails. Getting to the manicure, the person didn't follow the actual dazzle dry system. That brand has their own cleanser you are supposed to scrub your nails with first, which they did not use. And they only put on one layer of base when you're supposed to do two. I've had dazzle dry manicures from other salons that lasted 1-2 weeks and this one started chipping the next day! Will not be returning here unfortunately... read more

Ive been going here for about a year now, love the place! But after getting my nails done yesterday, (and I've been getting them short/medium, mostly short especially after filling and shaping) the lady at the front was trying to charge me for a longer set. I was confused why she wanted to up charge me and then when I asked she proceeded to tell me they "changed" prices 3 months ago and that my nails were long? I questioned it because online it still says 75 for short/medium, but didn't want to argue. I believe she was trying to up charge since they have a $5 off for this month and I think they want to make up for that? Which sucks...... like I said really loved the place but when the price was off ( doing the same to my nails, no design, just color) and I asked why, she seemed unsure of what to say and kind of embarrassed but still up charged me. read more

I asked for a color with chrome which seemed to be fine and I had asked if this chrome chips and they said no. again, this is an additional charge so I would expect it to last.
