New optometrist in Claremont. Went in for an eye exam and to check it out. Made my appointment online a week ahead of time. Beautiful, clean, modern space. Staff is so friendly and welcoming. Dr. Kim is kind, professional and walks you through all parts of the exam. She made sure I got all of my questions answered. You can tell she really cares about the patient experience. Hands down the BEST optometry office I have ever been to! Unlike big box cheaper places (Costco) and other local optometry places where you are literally ignored if you are browsing and don't happen to have an appointment, Dr. Kim and her staff are the complete opposite! Service is excellent. They are attentive to your needs, give perfect suggestions, and are always ready to help. The selection in eyewear is unparalleled. They have glasses and sunglasses for every budget, but the best in designer eyewear (Prada, Gucci, Tom Ford) and everything is super stylish and comfortable. Long overdue review! Dr. Kim and Scott were absolutely AMAZING. Dr. Kim really took her time going over my vision tests and even figured out I was wearing overprescribed contacts for the past year! No more random headaches :) They were both very patient going through different brands and options and went above and beyond explaining what the insurance would cover and what rebates were available. Nothing but great things to say about this office! Its new. Its clean. The equipment is all high tech and modern. Dr. Kim is awesome! She showed me this new tech that provided me with an incredible image of the inside of my eye. She explained how a lot of good (or bad) your health can be determined from this image alone. I wear gas permeable contact lenses and one of them was scratched making it unwearable and my glasses are terribly scratched so I was in a bind. I tried calling 2 offices that I have been to before but the soonest appointment I could get was 3 wks out. I called Luxe Optometry and they were able to get me in the next day! Dr. Kim is highly knowledgeable and very professional. Her whole staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They text you with appointment reminders and included an online link to fill out forms prior to coming which saved a lot of time. They have state of the art equipment to scan your retina without dilating your pupils. Dr. Kim explained everything to me in simple terms and went above and beyond by giving me a pair of disposable soft contact lenses to use while I wait for my contacts to be delivered. I couldn't believe her generosity and compassion. I was extremely worried about work and taking care of my fam without being able to see and she picked up on it and told me not to worry. I heard she even performed eye exams for children at a local school for free to bring awareness to parents! I have always been told that I could only wear gas permeable lenses, but she encouraged me to try soft contacts and my life has changed! Lastly, this office is immaculate. I can tell Dr. Kim has an eye for detail from caring for her patients to decorating her office. I have finally found a doctor that fits all my needs. This place is a gem. read more

HIGHLY-HIGHLY recommend Dr. Kim; I was dropping boxes at the UPS store next door to LUXE Optometry but, as I was struggling with the boxes, I couldn't help but notice the frames in the window next door. I made it a point to stop in. No sooner than I was observing their inventory of frames I was having my eyes checked by Dr. Kim and less than 2-wks my glasses were ready for pick up. I cannot say enough about the staff, their vast experience, professionalism, and how friendly everyone is. My prescription was "perfect" as opposed to my former optometrist. Had a really great experience here at Luxe Optometry! My boyfriend needed prescription eyeglass frames & lenses and was having trouble finding an optometrist with a nice selection. We found what we needed and left feeling so welcomed and taken care of! The office is in the same plaza as Whole Foods and had plenty of parking. Dr. Kim and Liesel were so helpful in helping us choose some frames. We had come in close to closing time on a Sunday and they stayed open to finish helping us, which was so nice. They have a really nice selection of frames, including more high end glasses as well: Guess, Ray Ban, Maui Jim, Tom Ford, Gucci, Prada, Saint Laurent, etc. You can really tell that Dr. Kim and her staff put a lot of heart into making this office a great experience for people when they come in. And it's a plus that the office looks so cute! I will definitely be back when it's time for my own annual eye exam. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Jennifer Kim and Luxe Optometry in Claremont. Dr. Kim, and her entire team - Scott, Melissa and Liezl, are all phenomenal. If I could, I would give them a 10! Truly. They are all very professional, knowledgeable, warm, caring and friendly. I live in Palm Desert and I choose to drive to Claremont (roughly 185 miles round trip) for all of my future eye exams and glasses. I think it is well worth my time and the distance. My new pair of glasses from Luxe Optometry (that I obtained in August 2023) was literally the first time in over 5+ years living in Southern California, where I was able to put my new pair of glasses on, and I had clear, crisp vision immediately. There was no "break in" period necessary to adjust to my new glasses. It has now been 6 months since I picked up this first pair of glasses from Luxe Optometry, and with this new calendar year and my employer's new vision benefits for the year, I have made another appointment with Dr. Kim, to obtain my annual vision exam and purchase another pair of glasses. As a bit of background, I had tried 4 (yes, four) separate optometrists in Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage and La Quinta - all much closer to home. But I was told each time, by each of these optometrists, and with each new pair of glasses, that I would just have to "get used to" my new prescription/glasses. Dr. Kim and Scott at Luxe Optometry discovered that with this last pair of glasses, that I had obtained from a so-called "trendy" El Paseo Optometrist, that the glasses were significantly off in one of the lenses of this old pair. This was the reason that for a year, I had not been able to see clearly out of my one eye, especially at night. Apparently, the prism was slightly off kilter in one of the lenses! However, when I had attempted to explain to the optometrist on El Paseo that my right eye vision was appearing "fuzzy and out of focus," he did not check the prescription or the lens, and merely brushed me off stating that I "would need to get used to it." Well, I never "got used to it." Thank goodness I found professional, competent, friendly vision care with Dr. Jennifer Kim, and her entire team at Luxe Optometry in Claremont.
