Based on this information, I agreed to the purchase. When I went to pick up my glasses the following week, I inspected them and noticed that I was given the display model. They were visibly worn, dusty, and had residue from previous customers. Rene was present and only confirmed they were display glasses after I questioned him. When I asked why I had not been contacted beforehand, he said they this information isn't disclosed to customers. He offered no apology or resolution and said the glasses would likely be replenished later in the week, which I later learned wasn't true. The following day, I escalated the issue to Keisha, the store manager, over the phone. She looked in their system and confirmed that the glasses I chose were no longer in stock and that the display model was the only option. She only offered two options to resolve my issue: take the glasses as is for full price (over $800) or receive a full refund. Based on this experience, I don't recommend this LensCrafters location.

That is why I must respond to the previous review by one "Megan M". Clearly the review was written by a classic Karen-type, drunk on a uniquely sad brand of privileged outrage. By her own admission, she was maniacally typing a Yelp review (riddled with the tell-tale typos and hideous grammar unique to her sort) while STILL in the store. Rather than owning up to her willful ignorance regarding the clearly worded agreement, it sounds like she chose to blame the messenger. Clownish, childish behavior. My family had an excellent experience with Dr. Kim and the entire staff at Luxe Optometry. From the moment I called and throughout the entire visit for myself and my kids - it was clear patient care is top priority. Staff was welcoming and went out of their way to help us during our entire visit - you can tell they really care and they are extremely knowledgeable. Dr. Kim was excellent with my kids and got them set up with specialized myopia treatment (that none of our prior eye doctors had mentioned before!!). She was so well informed on the latest treatments, I know they are in excellent hands with her. I personally loved the eyeglass frame selection. You can tell Luxe really cares about bringing in the best independent lines and most updated, gorgeous luxury frames that I can't find anywhere else. Our whole family left extremely happy. I love everything about Luxe Optometry: the frames; the staff; Dr. Kim; the friendly vibe! The luxury frames are selected from designers throughout the world with great care. You will find unique, artistic, high quality frames here, and staff members know many details about the optical designers they carry as well as the materials that are used. Recently I purchased frames made of Japanese titanium by a company based in Denmark (I think that's what Scott told me.) I have not seen Dr. Kim for an eye exam, as I have vision coverage through Kaiser, but she has impressive credentials with a Doctor of Optometry from UC Berkeley School of Optometry. I recently visited Luxe for a comprehensive eye exam and I was very pleased with the experience. The doctor of optometry first looked at specific aspects of my visual function and eye health such as depth perception, color vision, eye muscle movements, peripheral or side vision, and the way my pupils respond to light. The doctor then performed a medically appropriate examination and evaluation. I was also given counseling and education about my eye health. I'm not one to change a provider lightly, but I could not be happier to say I found one and that the reviews on Yelp are 100% accurate when it comes to Dr. Kim. If you care about genuine and personal customer service, and forming a real relationship with the people who take care of your health, this is the place to go. The level of service was unparalleled and they are friendly and thorough. I had insurance but assumed I had already used my benefits since I purchased contacts elsewhere less than a year prior. They took the time to check my insurance, saw I had benefits that could be applied, explained the benefits, and went through the benefits to see which could get me the best discount. I ended up getting contact lenses, frames, and lenses. Dr. Kim not only knows what she's doing in her profession, but she truly cares about her patients. She shows it by the time she spends to conduct her exam and to talk to you. It feels like a rarity these days to find this type of care, but it's a relief to see it still exists. I am very thankful to have found her.
