I am typically not a "write a review" type of person...but I feel the need to write about our experience last night. I will be honest: we had a party of 12, we hadn't seen each other in a year, and it was our only meal together so we were in high spirits and was joking around...having a great time! Now for our dining experience:
They had a great location, and perfect spot up front for our large group. We sat down and ordered a few drinks. About 10 minutes later Spencer returns with the drinks and said we had waters coming. Enter BK(along with her "You are not worth my time/wth do you want attitude")... she brings us water and tells us Spencer is her helper(let's count how many times we see our "server"...this is 1). We ordered four appetizers and a few more drinks. When those arrived, my sister and cousin gave BK(2) their order because they were running next door. Spencer came back with refills and takes everyone else's order. BK(3) brings a few more refills and leaves. We met the owner, she seemed nice(more on that later). When the first round of food came out, I had to immediately send mine back(I ordered the chicken wrap without onion...it was loaded with onion) and we were informed that one of the burgers were messed up because "of the system" and would be right out. Spencer and BK(4th and final time) brought the food came droves, which is expected with a large party... except you have to wait to get sauces(and when you have fish, you want tarter sauce before your fish is cold.) Everyone got their food with the exception of a salad, the burger that was wrong, and the first two that put their order in. We asked Spencer and he said he would go check....it was never put in!!! Excuses were made, systems blamed (I'm a kitchen manager and a server...that excuse doesn't sit well with me), and we were offered discounts to make up for it. Thanks, that's nice...but instead of giving out free or discounted food you:
1. Train your staff more in depth
2. If you are aware there is an issue, as the owner or manager you should probably step in and offer assistance...instead of sitting at the bar and then leaving.
3. Give Spencer a raise for handling himself so well and trying his best--you ran your butt off last night; you took jokes, frustrations, complaints, and praise with grace...you just need a little more training and you will be a badass!
4. Make BK the "helper" because she has a terrible attitude and did not earn a dime of the tip we left
5. HIRE AND TRAIN MORE SERVERS AND KITCHEN STAFF. read more
