The burgers are my favorite. Love the variety and the "good burger" taste. The fries were crispy and a decent size. The service was fast, and the online order was accurate. The burger was a little lacking, and the fries were VERY salty. If you like them that way, you'll love these fries. Overall was very pleased! Will be back to try different types of burgers! read more

Had a great supper here. I'm back tonight to actually slow it down and enjoy fully the food. You see, when making my carnivore order, hostess explained a 9 patty challenge... I arranged for no bun and abide by the 10 min limit to eat it all... 6 mins later it was gone... hot and tasty.. came back to use the free burger coupon and add another Sammy with 6 patties.. ill slow it down to saver the goodness tonight. How fun is that. read more

Wayback Burgers - Hot Dogs Near Me - Beaufort, South Carolina

After a very long road trip, My family decided to stop by to pick up dinner. I went inside to order food. It wasn't crazy packed. Only 2 people working the front and 2 in the kitchen. While I was waiting for my food one of the workers thought it was a good idea to eat her dinner in the front where everyone can see and use her fingers to eat it and then help customer walking in in-between. The best part as I was waiting for my food for a very very long time. I saw the guy in the back drop a bun on the floor and pick it back up. I'm pretty sure he used the bun needles to say I will not be back. Highly disappointed in this place as the food is pretty good but the food handling is too much of a risk for me. read more

Nice little burger place! To s of variety and create your own burgers. I had a classic, fries (not included with burger) and a strawberry shortcake shake (with real cake crumbles on top). Easy to order, staff very friendly (they bring the food to you), and came out quick and hot. I was visitinf SC but looking forward to trying the location near me in NC. read more

Whew! As a Dasher, one of the least favorite places to come to pick up an order. Food is not ready when you get there. Service is slow, like 20+ minute wait for order. I know food is to be made fresh (because I have worked here), but urgency is to be desired with the new management. I'd say DD orders are not a priority at this establishment. The girl in the "front of house" doesn't wear the all black uniform. She tries to be helpful by giving me the cup for the drink order way before the food is ready. Why would I want to make a drink so it can sit for 20 minutes? I'm going to limit my interactions with Wayback Burger going forward. read more

Food and service was exceptional would recommend going and trying it yourself. Great food not fast food. Food is cooked to order so always fresh when u get it read more

I've been here a few times. It's pretty hit or miss. It's your standard semi-fast food burger place so the ambiance is what you would expect there. The service is average. The food is either really good, or really bad. There really isn't an in between. One time I took my dad there when he was visiting and the burgers were kind of dry and bland. Everyone had mixed up orders and it was chaos. But I went there myself another time and got a wonderful burger that was hot fresh and juicy. It's definitely worth a try at least once. read more

Oh my gosh, I didn't have a lot of excitement because a burger is a burger. Let me tell you that's one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. It was so juicy , taste like homemade not a patty. It had the works on it. It was so delicious and I had fries and they were good too. They weren't soggy. They were hand cut bravo to Wayback burgers. probably the best thing of all the food was so hot. It was delicious. read more

Have given this business 3 tries and the verdict is HARD PASS. We ate inside twice. Food was ok but service was slow as was the food coming out. The last meal was DoorDashed and it was by far the worst. Cold burger on a stale bun and cold, cold fries. The burger was never warm because the cheese never melted. My location of delivery was less than 3 miles away from the restaurant so it wasn't like my food had time to get cold. I suggest Bricks on Boundary if you want a great burger. read more

Overall food was pretty good. I got the big cheese burger, tots and a shake. Took a little bit of time for everything to come out but they were pretty busy. I will say I was most impressed that the one employee working the front was hustling. She was constantly cleaning, taking orders, bringing food, etc. She was like the one man band. read more

The Cheesey burger is absolutely fantastic! They make great shakes as well. Everything is freshly made when you order. No frozen not microwave stuff here. Leadership is very cordial. read more

Typical fast food burger. Service has always been friendly and fast. If you are looking for a quick bite, stop in.

You have to keep in mind this is a classic and simple burger/fries place. If you're looking for gourmet quality this is not the place for you (why I gave it four stars) Our cashier was super sweet and needs a raise. Food came out quick. read more

Delicious burgers and shakes! I can't wait to try the new maple bacon shake! Food comes out very quickly too.

IDK why people have had "bad experiences" here. for me the food was phenomenal. My husband and I got 3 different burgers (we had coupons) and all three were delicious! I got the toasted marshmallow shake which was so good it's now my favorite shake no lie! Their chili cheese fries were a perfect amount of salt cheese and chili! had to use a fork (which is the best in my opinion). thanks for making our first experience here great! The employees were kind and patient despite a busy lobby. Explain to me this, how is this place so bad yet there's always a bunch of people here ordering food? sounds like just some salty Sams out there! read more

Chicken sandwich was burned as well as the bun. I ordered tater tots with my sandwich but didn't receive any and didn't notice until I was home since this was a to-go order. I will not be back. read more

The burger I received was did not look like the burger on the website. No flavor. The fries were super salty.

I have been here a couple of times. Their food is great. I am not sure how they vent their employees, but there are some rude people in there. When the manager isn't there they sit around in the lobby and get upset when they need to make you a shake. I would suggest to check you take out because they will forget something. Definitely need to come in with a calm attitude, so you don't go off on the casher that would definitely give you a dirty look and attitude when you ask for any changes in your order. The only reason I'm given them two star is because there food is that good. read more

Our first visit here easily rates 4 stars, not just because of the food, but for the overall experience. First impression, very clean and well organized, the young man at the front counter was hustling (taking orders, making fries, busing tables, all while being friendly with the customers). We ordered loaded cheeseburgers, fries and onion rings. The burgers were very good with fresh lettuce and tomato's. The fries were the low point, soft and limp. The onion rings were solid. Be careful backing out of the parking spots, the spots are wide enough, but the lot is narrow, may take a time or 2 pulling in and out to clear the other parked cars. We're adding this into our "let's grab something and go home rotation" LOL! read more

Food was good! Service was fast! The workers were not rude at all and easy to communicate orders with. I do recommend!

Solid burger solid price four stars. Needs 85 characters so I'm making stuff up to post this bad boy. I love you all. -Z

The 5 stars are for the amazing staff. I know it's about the food so the food is a 3 1/2 stars. Very consistent experience and a family favorite. Peach shake not great but the all the other shakes rock! read more

We have eaten here several time, the food is good. We walked into an almost empty diner today and the rather rude woman at the counter informed us there was a 25 min wait to get our 4 hamburger order filled. She mumbled something about a lot of to go orders. Now I'm sorry but in my business the customer in your business gets priority over the customers sitting at home on the phone. Sadly we ate elsewhere read more

You craving greasy, American styled burgers??? Come here. While not the best burger I have ever had, it definitely did not disappoint. I got the Bacon Bourbon Burger and it was so interesting yet appeasing. The onion rings - ugh - I will be daydreaming about them later!! Only complaints was the speed of service was a little slower especially being one of two tables being served. But if you don't mind a little wait, come get yourself a greasy burger and shake read more

Good fast food burger. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and crisp, the burger cooked perfect and so were the fries. Staff was very friendly and courteous, and the restaurant and bathrooms clean. I'll be back for sure! read more

Go there a lot ! They are normally very busy but they handle it great ! Highly recommend

Starting to understand why people do not come to this place. Hair found in food and general lack of following food handling and safety standards. Straight from SCDHEC Regulation 61-25 Retail Food Establishments 2-402 Hair Restraints 2-402.11 Effectiveness. (A) Except as provided in (B) of this section, food employees shall wear hair restraints such as hats, hair covering and nets, beard restraints, and clothing that covers body hair that are designed and worn to effectively keep their hair from contacting exposed food, clean equipment, utensils, linens, and unwrapped single-service or single-use articles. Observed that this was not being followed as the kitchen is visible from the dining area. Also the bacon was not on the burger ordered so the upcharge was for the hair I guess. read more

Remember to place your order 3 hours before you get hungry, so as to give them the allotted time needed. We ordered ahead and waited and waited and waited. By the time we got our food, it was missing items, and was nothing more than 5-Guys Burgers quality. Nothing was special enough worth waiting that long for. read more

Unprofessional customer care! Visiting from a different part of the state and had heard good things about the food quality. Upon walking in, with only 1/3 of the tables with customers seated, we were told that there would be a 45-minute wait. We said that was fine, and the male and female at the counter rolled their eyes. They then played "rock-paper-scissors" to see who would take my family's order. As we waited, they also both took sips of open drinks beside the counter around food prep. We ordered our food and sat to wait our 45 minutes. Over the next little while, the same two employees texted, drank their drinks, and yelled about "how annoying" it was that people "kept ordering food", even after they were told there would be a wait. There was a lot of shouting and playing behind a counter. Overall, the food was good. We enjoyed it. However, the professionalism was absent. Owner/operator should take note. read more

Horrendous service...food is okay but not worth putting up with the lack of consideration of customers

A little pricey but very good! Will definitely be back. I liked the fact I was able to order online also!!

My husband and I ate at Wayback Buger this past Sunday. We were pleasantly surprised. I ordered the chili cheese fries. They were awesome. I haven't had chili cheese fries like that in years. Good job Wayback Burger. read more

Honestly, the burger tasted exactly like a #1 from Wendy's. EXACTLY like a single. I had the build your own burger. 1 patty, lettuce, ketchup, onion and cheese. Fries and a drink and added a side of onion rings. My husband had the cheeesey with fries, drink and a vanilla shake. It came to over $30!! LMAO like seriously? $30 for glorified Wendy's. Maybe if it tasted like 5 guys I would be cool with paying so much but what they have going now...No thanks. The patty was thin and surprisingly still kinda pink inside?? Also they have vinegar (which I thought was great!) Until I realized they don't give you little cups to put it in so i guess you're just supposed to dump the vinegar on the fries, leaving them to swim in a pool in the little basket lol read more

Terrible, terrible, terrible! We were so excited to see a burger place in Beaufort arrive. Then we ate here. It's supposed to be a old fashion style burger but the patty is smaller than the bun and the bun it's all you taste probably because the burger is so small. We had several other items off the menu and there was not one thing we tried we liked. Our meal ran about $45 for four to have burgers and drinks. For this amount at a walk up counter style eating we expect the food to be worth it. Save your money and head to another burger place. Perhaps they'll try a Five Guys burgers and Fries burger and figure out what their missing! read more
