This is the best burger I've had out recently. I ordered a classic and added bacon and jalapeño. I'm very satisfied that I chose this location over other fast food options around. I'm quite surprised it's in a Walmart. The dining room was nice and a Hollywood flick was on the TV. They cooked my burger on the flattop in front of me pushing the bar way high for fast food/fast casual. I had a long drive ahead of me so I ordered a second burger on the way out, a plain classic without add-ons. I told them the first burger was so good I wanted another one and the second was literally better than the first. It looked like a food advertisement even after opening it in the car hours later and that's probably because it was wrapped, twirled and folded in the paper so well. The beef was slightly charred and still a little pink and juicy in the middle. My partner order an impossible burger classic and she says it was cooked well and very fresh. She also mentioned it was assembled with care and appreciated how the ketchup and mustard was spread everywhere and evenly on the bun. Made with care. Fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion. I wish I had a wayback burger near me so I could enjoy this burger again. Friendly service. I could tell the people were genuinely kind. The burger was $8. My pet peeve is paying $10-$17 for careless delivery. Do it like this wayback. Setting the bar. These two employees treated us very well and deserve a raise. read more

ALWAYS call to verify they are open before placing an online order either through the Wayback website or DoorDash. TWICE now, I've placed orders through their website, paid and driven to the store only to find they are closed. I am currently trying to chase down a refund from over the weekend. They were apparently closed Saturday and Sunday although no one turned off the online ordering and their website indicated they were open. I was told that when they came in on Monday, they had a huge stack of online orders that they just threw in the garbage. Who knows how many people were charged this weekend. They literally have no record of any orders because they were thrown away. I will likely have to file a fraudulent transaction with my credit card because they are no longer answering their phone. Just go somewhere else, the food is fine but the inconvenience and lack of customer service make it so not worth it. read more

I ordered uber eats from here a few months ago where the food I got tasted strange but I didn't think much of it. I later got food poisoning from this place, vomiting and diarrhea. Just recently a friend went to this place not knowing what I had gone through, they don't recommend the food either, you're better off ordering someplace else. read more

Terrible first experience! Got the app, used it to order online. Got charged instantly. Order was set for 7pm at bluffton walmart. Hours SAY open till 9pm. The location had handwritten sign... "closed, sorry". Now I can't get a refund, I have no burgers, no shake, I wasted 20 min each way, and had to spend another 30 dollars from 5 guys, who are open as advertised. Thanks for not even giving a number for any kind of support instead telling me to contact closed location. Perhaps whenever it is open as advertised, we could have a customer service miracle that could make me change this rating,,,, read more

2:20 pm 3/9/21 wife had a cheesy burger ($6.49)and gave it a A-, I had a single ($4.49) and it was dry and nothing special however the fries were very good and the onion rings were some of the best we have ever had and we are OLD! We have had a lot of onion rings and have the fat to prove it. The only real complaint was with the music; you might think with a name like Wayback and all of the pictures on the wall of 50's dining they might have 50's, 60's or 70's music but you would be WRONG! The music was; well I don't know what the heck it was but it was terrible! The staff looked like they thought it was ok. No hand sanitizer anywhere to be found if that is important to you. Will never eat there again. The older Caucasian Male and young Latina are rude. I stood there for 3 mins without any acknowledgement and when I said hello to them, they did not open there mouth. I was handed my food and then the male turned his back and walked off. However, before that there were 3 Caucasians that were thanks for purchasing food and told to come back. Tried their steak and cheese. What a greasy let-down. We're burger connoisseurs and have been to just about every burger joint in the area. Besides having to go to Walmart, which is already a pretty traumatic event, the burgers were greasy and commercial. Staff was less than thrilled to be working. Overall, not great. Much better than anticipated. This location does a fairly good burger for the money. They have several types hot sandwiches from burgers to hot dogs to grilled chicken. They also have a custom menu. You start with 1, 2 or 3 patties, 3 types of cheese (American, Cheddar and Swiss), and a fair assortment of toppings. Bacon is available for 75¢ extra. There are also 4 combos featuring a drink and some variety of fried potatoes, including french fires (quite good) and fresh potato chips. They have a breakfast menu, but it IS rather limited, but they DO have sausage gravy & biscuits in 2 sizes. I would call this the 3rd-best burger joint I've been to, just after B&D Burgers in Savannah and Five Guys. The place is a bit cramped and you have to deal with the noise typical of a Wal-Mart Superstore. Other than that, I have no complaints. read more
