The Vigilante
Laura P.

It happens to be the 1st annual Burger Bash Week in Savannah and hearing about their featured burger, The Vigilante, had me curious to try! So here I am. You order at the counter, and they'll bring it to your table. Such a fun, low key vibe here with classic games to be played on each booth table, colorful bandanas decorating the ceiling, great music filling the airwaves and one flat screen TV showing pro wrestling. A great place to chill with friends and relax! I had to order The Vigilante, $16, as it is their star of Burger Bash week. Creativity, it's a chopped up cheese burger with lettuce, tomato, onions, peppers with their signature sauce on a hoagie - a burger paying tribute to New York and the New Yorkers that work at Bandana Burger. With fries included the meal total was $23. It was warm cheesy goodness, loved the peppers and the fresh veggies and all wrapped into a hoagie roll, but it was VERY salty. All the employees were super friendly and helpful!

If you're visiting Savannah and want to venture out of the tourist traps, give this place a try. We discovered this place on a Monday after our hearse ghost tour guide, D, recommended it. It's low key, but seriously what we needed. Also, we're all night shift RNs so we appreciated finding this gem when up late on a Monday night while visiting Savannah. The burgers are great and service is super friendly and personable...something that's hard to find these days. I highly recommend giving them a try! Side note...burgers come with a bandana. I especially love the fruit roll-ups as well.

The food is excellent, it was late so we shared a Bandit burger and we wish we would have ordered our own, it was delicious. The fries awe awesome and different, family run by 3 brothers if I understood correctly. Service was great, food came out quickly and hot. You also get a bandana. The atmosphere is different, fun and friendly a great place for couples and friends. We will definitely be back.

Cranberry ranch (probably the worse sauce I've ever tried)

So, I've been to Bandana burger twice. Once super "hammered" and the last super sober. I will say the drunk experience with my burger was way better. The seasoning was on point but the cranberry ranch still gives me nightmares and the winder fries were undercooked and inedible. The second time I went there (both times with the same person) my burger was under seasoned but still great quality, the curly fries were great and my friend enjoyed his food as well. The staff are kind and you can tell that they care it just really sucks that it feels awkward to ask for regular ranch and blue cheese because they put a twist on theirs and I don't think they have any in the building. We tried the Cranberry ranch again and it's still a HARD NO!! The avocado blue cheese on the second go round is still missing something. I like the atmosphere and it's a major plus that they're open until 3am on most nights. If you love a good burger and fries then this is the place to go. Bandana Burgers is straight to the point, nothing fancy but it's still unique and has great quality.

This place is notably user-friendly in many ways. While it is a burger place, it has multiple vegan and gluten-free options and extensive customization. They also were very fast, producing a fresh burger and fries for me in around ten minutes having ordered online. They are also open late night, which is not my scene but definitely helps out some people. I am not into the highly processed fake meat kind of burgers, but they did have a black bean burger. While the burger itself crisped up nicely, what really made it were the default toppings it came with, including a lot of avocado that created a great textural contrast. For fries, they had many options as well, and ordering curly fries with Cajun spice was a delicious experience with an aroma that made me wish I had time to head over to New Orleans for a meal every now and then. However, this was pretty good for Savannah. They had a long beverage selection and I went for an indulgent soda. My takeout order came with a bandana and some extra chips I did not ask for, which is fine. The more important thing is that they delivered on substance.

Where do I even start???? My son and I visited this location for the first time and the customer service alone, secured their spot for my favorite burger joint in Savannah. We ordered sandwiches (salmon that was topped with crab and shrimp) let me tell you !!! It was perfectly crafted! I enjoyed every single bite! Even my bandana keepsake!! The environment was welcoming and the music was jamming! I can't wait to try every burger on the menu!

I stopped by on a whim, and from the moment I walked through the door, I knew I was in for something special. The vibe was warm, welcoming, and full of charm -- and that's all thanks to Danny, who made the experience unforgettable! He greeted me right away with a big smile, asked what brought me in, and helped me decide what to order based on what I was craving. His suggestion? Spot. On. Every bite was a flavor bomb!! Juicy, fresh, perfectly cooked, and wrapped in an actual bandana (yes, really!) which made it feel like a gift you get to eat. But what really blew me away was the service. Instead of calling my name to the counter, Danny personally walked the food out to me. That small gesture made it feel like I was being treated like a guest, not just a customer. From start to finish, this was hands-down one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. If you're in Savannah and looking for great food, genuine hospitality, and a little extra magic in your meal -- Bandana Burger is the spot. I'll definitely be back... and bringing friends!

Smiley fries, cholo, con artist, sweet potato waffle fries
Rebecca R.

I was in search of a good veggie burger and google reviews landed me here. I'm not sure what the demographic of this place is. Your burgers come with chips and other sides (cookies, fruit roll ups) that are akin to a child's lunchbox. Interestingly though, they are open as late as 2-3am. The decor is minimal, other than bandanas and photos paying homage to popular fast food chains. As far as the food goes though..it slaps! I had the black bean burger (cholo) and my mom had the impossible (con artist). The buns are soft and fresh. The toppings pair well and the burgers were cooked nicely. I had smiley fries and mom had sweet potato waffle. Nothing left to be desired with the fries! They were perfectly crispy on the outside and hot and soft on the inside. Smiley fries also had a lovely seasoning. If you're craving a burger and fries and don't care much about ambiance (this is your spot). I also really appreciate 4 veggie options.

We shared a Rock Star Burger, Many homemade sauces are available onsite. Onion rings were good. The Burger comes in a box topped with a bag of chips and a fruit rollup with a rice crispy treat wrapped in a bandana. You get to keep the bandana or can donate to a charitable effort to make pillows. This place is a creative stop for a really tasty burger. The decorations of bandanas were clever. A couple of suggestions: We couldn't read the menu from 15ft away. Seems to be a combination of type and size. They also didn't have menus on the table. I think the sandwich came with 1-2 napkins wrapped in the bandana. I didn't see them so I asked for more and only got 2 small napkins. We were lucky. There were only 2 tables of people and no one in the line to order. I had a feeling there might be a long waiting line at lunch time. The owner and relatives were very attentive checking on us several times. We plan to come back and try some of the other burgers but this area of Habersham offers some steep competition in Coffee Deli, 5 Spot, Bellas, and a good sushi place. We wish them good luck,

Local burgers mixed reviews from our group but big menu selection to choose from. I liked the bandit- special sauce ask for on the side. good for a late night drinking meal. Service is laidback. We ordered Togo and loved the bandanas & chips added.

First time here, the did was off the chain, so good, bandit buger and twisted fries were too die for. I will be back!!!

Unfortunately, my experience last night left a bad taste in my mouth. We were seated in the lower dining room. Everything was going well with good service and delicious drinks... and then I spotted a cockroach crawling under our table. Of course, we are in the south & I am willing to overlook the odd roach here and there. However, when a second one emerged from the hallway, my confidence that this was just a one-off incident tanked. By the time our food arrived, our focus had been diverted to be on roach alert. Unfortunately, the food also missed the mark--overly salty and bland at the same time. None of this aligns with The Public I know and love, so I am really hoping this was just an off night. Might be taking a break from this place for a while.

Home of Savannah's most awarded burger!…read more Green Truck may be one of the best burgers in Savannah, and they have many certificates of recognition hanging along the walls. This small restaurant offers big flavors with local ingredients and grass-fed beef from a local farm. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating along with a few spots at the bar. Service is quick and staff is helpful when substitutions are needed - gluten free bun or veggie patties are available. My personal favorite is the Rustico burger with a smooth goat cheese, balsamic caramelized onions, roasted red peppers and fresh basil. It offers a perfectly balanced sweet and savory bite. Their homemade ketchup is also delicious - nothing like you are accustom to. Also try the Pimento cheese plate - a southern classic. A perfect pairing with the tart pickles!

Ok, this is one of the first places in Savannah where the price matched with the portion. $3.75 for a slider and $1.50 for half tray of fries. Also $1 for a side of ranch, but can't complain it was a big portion of ranch. We ordered just the regular sliders, one without veggies (for me) and one with veggies (for my girlfriend). The patties themselves were flavorful, but it was really just the patty, I barely noticed the bacon. Bacon cut could've been thicker, or another piece of bacon; to make the layers for distinct. My girlfriend said she didn't realize there was bacon, she did enjoy the slider however. The fries were so good. It kind of reminds me of the In-n-Out well-done fries; superrrr crisp. The ranch was really good too, garlicky a little, and thick consistency. The service was fast and nice. We were one of the first people in, so everything moved smoothly. The ambience is very homey feeling, like I'm eating in someone's home - which I enjoyed. I don't like when a burger spot tries to glorify the inside even though they're just burgers. To sum it up: If the slider had a thicker slice of bacon on the burger, not really thick, maybe the thickness of 2 pieces of bacon just to get the difference textures, this would be 5/5.
