I have frequented this location on many occasions and it's a good one. The staff is friendly and keep the restaurant (and bathrooms) very clean. My go-tos are either their "Italian " or "Hook and Ladder" subs. The menu prices range around $6-$10 per sub (not including chips or a drink). A portion of your purchase goes to their charity, The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which helps provide lifesaving equipment to first responders. They have an app that you can use to order ahead. They also offer Apple Pay which (if you're like me) is a plus. read more

Finally decided to review Firehouse. I've been multiple times and service is average and the staff doesn't really go out of the way to make you feel welcomed, but are competent, well mostly (I'll get into that in a moment). My meals are correct and I have had no issues with my orders, but then again I'm pretty low-key. Subs are yummy and hit that hunger spot. I've had the steak, meatball, and Engineer(the turkey sub-I think that's what it's called). I've been when their bathrooms weren't working and flooded, but it's been awhile since this has occurred and it seems whatever the issue was has been repaired. Now onto the competency. My bill was $9.14. I gave a $10 and she punched it in and then I realized I had .14. She had told me at first she couldn't accept the .14 as she had already typed $10. I looked at her puzzled and said well I've got the .14 and I handed it to her. Then I realized she didn't know what she needed to give me back so I said the change is $1. She was still flustered and then another worker said "yeah, that's why we don't do that." I explained that my meal was $9.14 and I gave $10.14 so the change would be $1.00. If this is hard math I would suggest keeping a calculator near by just in case the customer realizes they have the change. read more

I LOVE FH Subs!! This location did not disappoint. You cannot beat the price for the sandwich size. The employee on the register was on top of our order. This was the worst Firehouse that we have ever been to. Not necessarily the food being bad but the workers were awful. I'm assuming Lisa was the manager of this location. You could just tell that she was miserable and it trickled down to her co-workers. We greeted her, asked her how she was and we got nothing. I felt really bad for those that were working with her. When I'm looking for a little more "oomff" for my sub I come here. Their subs are big and packed with flavor. It doesn't get better than their pastrami! Other places might give you a lot of quantity in your sandwich but not a lot of quality. That is why I like it here... you get both. The restaurant itself is also great. This is terrible firehouse subs. Management here is non-existent. Nothing but rude employees here. My wife has a good allergy and they made the sandwich wrong. They then refused to remake it. I'll continue to visit other firehouse subs but I won't be back at this one. I'm disappointed as I genuinely like their food. When you are like me, sick & tired of the cold, bland ickie Subway sandwiches and their Turkey (and tofu) "meat". Give yourself a treat and get a Firehouse sub. Love love love this place! I always get the turkey bacon ranch with no onions, they have NEVER put onions on my sub. I know, not a big deal right? Well, for me it is, every other food place I have been has messed that up more than once. I have eaten here with my husband many times, and we almost always enjoy our food. I have only had one time the bacon was a bit burnt, and one separate occasion when they forgot a pickle in my husbands sub. Come here occasionally during the evening and always have a good experience, but day crew is AWFUL. They sign you up for promotions without telling you, even though I don't want them. Today they gave me a small cup that I can get 99 cent refills with, but I don't come here enough to reap the benefits of this promotion and just want a normal sized cup that comes with combos since I'm about to go to a study group for two hours. Told them I wanted the normal size drink and they refused to give it to me and just gave another small cup, but yet I was charged the exact same amount as the last time I came and ordered the exact same thing and received a cup twice the size. Extremely disappointed that I was charged for something that I didn't get. I know it's just a cup, but ASK someone if they want to be part of your promotion instead of just automatically giving it to me. Will only come when night crew it working now. read more

I went for the 1st time yesterday and I don't think I would've ever stopped if not for the guys at my husbands job bringing this back for lunch. Its not hidden but I guess with the busy street location I've just never noticed it. I gave it only 4 stars as this was my first visit but the sandwich I had was delicious. I'm sure there are other options on the menu, but I was too hungry to really notice. Service was fast and friendly and restaurant was clean. My new go to sandwich place in Beaufort. read more
