Like have you ever bit into a pizza and it was mostly dough? Or mostly cheese? Or too saucy? And then it throws off the whole pizza? You'll never bite into a Piace's pizza pizza and feel that way. The servers are (forgive me) seemingly two women who have been working here since the pizza store opened & they are very quick to bring the drinks, the food, linger for a minute or two to chat & ensure a tip but it's not Michelin star restaurant service. Don't expect much, but do expect common southern hospitality. We have not been to their new location (but are happy it's closer to us!!) but I know it's going to be epic & it looks a lot cleaner and less run down. Which doesn't deter me from the taste/quality of the pizza just because there was a bit of dust on the walls.

Not too hard, definitely not too soft, but just right. The pizza was also delicious! I am not from the SC area (Upstate, New York) and pizza is without a doubt one of my faves. This meat lovers pie covered all the basis! It's safe to say Giuseppi's will be my go to for pizza and wings whenever I am vacationing in the Hilton Head area.

For that price, I expected a quality pizza--not one with barely any cheese and cold meat toppings that looked like they were thrown on at the last minute instead of baked into the pizza. The entire pizza was bland, poorly made, and tasted like no effort or pride went into it. As a native New Yorker, I know what good pizza tastes like, and this isn't even close to New York-style pizza despite what it may claim. If this is their standard, they're charging premium prices for subpar food. The BOWLING alley down the street serves much better pizza with a much more responsible price. I don't know if they were having an off day, but based on what we received, it was absolutely not worth the money. We left disappointed and won't be coming back.

I'm a big fan of New York-style pizza, and this place delivers. It's about a 6-mile drive for us, but totally worth it. Hi Everyone, This a…read morevery new restaurant and they are working out the kinks. So please as you read what I feel is an accurate review, please take the into account. We dined there on Mothers Day and had the Mother's Day Special which was a choice of two pasta entrees, two salads, and two Cannoli's for a very reasonable price when compared to ordering all of those menu items separately. So let's start with what they got right! This is a pleasant atmosphere in which to dine. The bread was very good with balsamic vinaigrette and olive oil for dipping, which they refilled. Their Caesar salad was very good, and their Eggplant Rollatini was exceptional which drew the majority of our bread dipping. This appetizer was especially savory when paired with a glass of red wine however, you will not be disappointed without it, either. My pristine beauty dinning of a dinning companion had the Penne pasta with Vodka sauce which was very savoy and taste thrilling as well. So five for five, then why not five stars? Well the I had the Spaghetti Carbonara but I substituted Penne pasta and this is where this entree's taste left the building. I am sad to say it had very little taste and was unappealing. My guess is they were using the wrong cheese, because it just did not cut it, no pun intended, lol. The pancetta was to fatty (yes Poindexter, I know pancetta is a fatty Italian bacon), I spent five minutes removing the fat from the very pieces of pancetta in my dish. So I hope they will consider changing this cheese and decide to add more pancetta. What you just said it was fatty and you want more? Yes, because more pancetta will, I hope improve the base taste of this entree which was MIA. Please view the entree picture below as your guide. Our Server was a lot of fun, efficient, very personable, and wonderful experience for us as a patrons. The cannoli was very good as reported by my breath-taking beauty of a dinning companion. Will we return? Yes, in about six weeks or so to let them work out the kinks of being a new restaurant, we shall dine here again. One last side note, the wine list is good but they offer a Brunello wine from the Tuscany Valley, which is rated at 94 out of 100 by Wine Critics Website. It is only sold by the bottle but it is very good and is offered at a very good price for a restaurant. If you have two or more people dinning that enjoy red wine, I highly recommend it with your meal as it pairs exceptionally well with any Italian entree. So almost everything was a hit! We do recommend you try Bourbon and Basil which was purchased from the former owner of Nona Rosa restaurant in this same location. It appears to us they are well worth your patronage because almost all their food was very good to exceptional. Enjoy!

I'm a generous reviewer but honesty is paramount: this place (in the former Nonna Rossa location)…read morewas a major disappointment and mediocre from start to finish. I'm not clear what the deal was with the server but it felt like she was filling in - regardless, it was not impressive. The food ... I'll start by saying the clams appetizer was tasty (and we liked the white wine sauce), though the clams were ridiculously small. They also made a pasta dish with the clams that was good. But, man, the chicken with the piccata was depressing and the veal parm an abomination (not sure what that was but it was no doubt a frozen patty that was like cardboard with breading). The final straw was the focaccia, which we ordered to have something besides the pathetically bland bread that came gratis ... I'm not sure what they think focaccia is but it does not resemble slightly toasted pita bread. The cocktails were incredibly weak and mediocre. Not sure what they are going for here - seemed like an effort to resurrect Nonna Rossa, which we enjoyed several times in past - but Italian is not the way.
