I went here with a friend for a late lunch. We both got the buffet. The staff was so friendly and kept our table cleaned of dirty plates and our drinks filled. Even though there was only one other table while we were there they kept refreshing the buffet with fresh pizza. The food was tasty and they have good ranch on the salad bar. They have pizza, salad, and a hot bar that changes all the time. My friend got her husband a to go plate from the hot bar and they gave her a ton of food. This place is great on your wallet and has a little bit of everything for everyone without being too crazy. I live almost an hour away or I would be back all the time. read more

We were traveling back from FL to Charleston and looking for a pizza place to please multiple people . We wanted something convenient and relatively fast . A buffet seemed appropriate . Pizza Bella is also conveniently located minutes off of I-95 . The restaurant is small with a small parking lot . The interior is simple and they offer both a menu and buffet. The buffet was simple . Pizza , hot bar , salad bar and dessert offered something for everyone in our party. The servers were efficient and kept our table cleared and drinks filled . They also took our requests for custom pizza for the buffet . They kept the buffet filled with fresh offerings even though it was not the busiest. Got the taco Buffet and the tacos were awful! Also the pizza on the buffet is always cold. They sat on a warmer, but it does not keep the pizza at a good temperature. My opinion they need the overhead heating lamps. When we told the waitress about the pizza being cold, she argued with me and said it is always hot on those warmers. They didn't offer to refund her money after we only ate one taco each. We talked about it again when we went to pay the bill, and both girls just giggled and smiled and never replied. At $2 a topping it's extremely expensive if you don't want to get one of their pre-configured pizzas. I wanted a pizza without one of the standard toppings and they said they could do it and they did it but they gave me barely any sauce. I ordered a custom Pizza three different toppings and they barely gave me any vegetables either. What I got was basically a focaccia with a little bit of sauce, and a grand total of a handful of vegetables. That's it and that was basically $20 and they prompt you for a tip before you've even gotten anything so how do you know what you want to tip? But as is the usual tactic with tipping they would make you feel guilty if you didn't tip so I tipped 18% because you're forced to tip while you pay which is before you've received anything. I would basically say I was charged probably double what the pizza was worth I had someone with me and they said that's like a $10 pizza. I don't know maybe they just discriminated against me because I'm from out of town. read more

Ok. So they claim they make "NY Style, Hand Tossed Pizza." Maybe if you found a slice in Manhattan stewing in the gutter that was hand tossed there then yeah. It took over a half an hour to get. It is frozen pizza. (Which explains the wait time.)You can tell in obvious ways. You don't need to be a connoisseur. Lift up your slice to find it perfectly spaced with "fork dimples" on the bottom of the "dough." The shape is pretty much a perfect circle. In case you couldn't tell just by looking at it. Once you bite into it no doubt will be left. I get this isn't NYC. But at least make your own pie. Otherwise you're just plain lazy. (Along with grosse false advertising.) The Men's bathroom is a mess. There was a huge hole kicked in at the lower right side of the toilet. A heap of crumpled drywall on the floor. Or maybe it's "pizza" crust. I was too afraid to investigate. Flies seem to enjoy the decor though. The server only came by twice in between dropping off the appetiser & pizza. I had to request a second soda without the mountain of ice the first one had in it. You couldn't even see any soda in the cup. In conclusion, there was nothing beautiful about Bella Pizza. Stay home and enjoy some oven baked Elio's instead. read more

I ordered a buffalo ranch pizza that's suppose to be made with white sauce they didn't have white sauce. We stopped here on a drive down I-95. Based on pizza alone, it's a 3 star joint. It's not bad. It hits the spot. But I wouldn't seek it out. What makes this place 4 star and worth your time is the buffet. It's quite good. So it has several of the pizzas, of course. Then it has a hot bar area that changes daily with mostly southern home style food, like fried chicken, meatloaf, pork chops, and all the fixings. At the end they have a very good salad bar with all the typical veggies, chopped fresh, hard boiled eggs, pepperoni, a few other nice items, crunchies, and a very good dressing selection. To top it off they have a dessert area with soft serve (and toppings), a few cake slices, and cookies. For 9.99 I'm pretty satisfied. I'd stop by again if I pass through. Great food, fair prices and a super friendly, accommodating staff. I have just recently moved into the area. After reading reviews, I decided to try Mamamita's, (the other non-chain pizza restaurant in town.) BIG MISTAKE! Their pizza had hardy any cheese (I even asked for extra, extra cheese), it was bland and ended up in my garbage before I could even finish the first slice. Pizza Bella was a pleasant surprise. Their pizza is authentic New York style here in the deep south. My partner is from the big apple and he loves Pizza Bella! Their food is always fresh and never disappoints. We've tried their pizza, burgers, wings and many of their appetizers. They have the best burger I've had since moving here, hands-down. Definitely try their wings (we get ours extra crispy) and cheesy bread sticks. I'm giving them a five-star rating because their staff really go the extra mile, the food is always consistently tasty and you'd be hard pressed to find a better restaurant in this area. read more

So glad we stopped here on a road trip!! I saw the sign southbound on 95 & we chose Pizza Bella for a lunch buffet. The parking lot is small so you may have to park in the rear lot or across the street at Rite Aid. Their lunch buffet changes daily (Wednesdays are Japanese, Fridays are spaghetti..), each day has pizza + hot bar + salad bar + dessert on the buffet with small town prices. We ate there on a Sunday and the buffet had pizzas, fried chicken, beef stew, mashed potatoes, green beans, rice, mac and cheese and lima beans. The dessert was peach cobbler and various cakes with an ice cream machine! Warning - mac and cheese so good my husband and I got into a fun fork fight over it! All the food is homemade and very delicious, a lovely small town restaurant. The sign on the door says Sunday go to church instead of hours, dont be confused - they are indeed open Sundays & popular w the after church local crowd. I go for the subboli options that they have there; love this bread option and I usually always order from here when I'm home to visit. This time it seems like they made some changes to the menu. While mine tasted great, there was noticeably less meat on the sandwhich. They were also short staffed and it was noticeable. The waitress was very friendly and took care of us, but she was the only one and had all the customers to attend to as well so it took longer. The mushroom appetizer was a great choice, although they've changed their ranch as well. read more

Excellent! My husband and I hail from the Northeast and have a hard time finding good pizza in the South - Pizza Bella is our new pizza spot! We order hand-tossed crust and it is delicious, thin and tender. Sauce is not too sweet. Pepperoni lovers is great as is Supreme. Very consistent. Wings were also good and not too saucy. I live in Ridgeland and there aren't a lot of restaurants here so pickins' are slim. But I found this place and was pleasantly surprised. The pasta is excellent. I have the spaghetti and meatballs fairly regularly. Their marinara is excellent! Took a friend and he had the chicken parmesan. Chicken was hand battered and he loved it! Haven't tried the pizza yet though, but again I would recommend the pasta. Salad bar has a nice selection of ingredients. Don't expect fancy but good food. read more

Stopped here while driving back from Tampa, FL to Washington, DC. Hard to find well-balanced meal at a reasonable price, and the service was excellent and friendly. We stopped here on our way back to Richmond, VA. The fried mushrooms were recommended by the hotel we stayed at., When we walked in we were greeted and told to sit anywhere we wanted, We sat in a booth towards the back. The waitress took our drink order while we looked at the menu. She brought our drinks back and they were wrong, We looked at the menu and waited for our order to be taken. The waitress who seated us cleaned three tables and looked at us each time and never acknowledged us. After 20 minutes I told my wife we were leaving. We got up to leave and as we walked out we saw 2 employees (they were wearing company shirts) siting at a table on a laptop. We walked to the register to pay for our drinks and saw the waitress who seated us sitting at the entrance door eating and another one in the kitchen talking. We paid for our drinks and left. If this is southern hospitality they can keep it. I would never recommend this restaurant nor will we ever stop there again. read more
