    Rice entree

There's no shortage of food options in and around the Ferry Building. Lunette has been on my list of places to try since I heard about them. Finally got to try them out a few Sundays ago. Their menu is short and sweet, which makes me think that all their offerings must be great. I opted for the dry noodles, which included a light broth base to put in the noodles, but definitely not enough to call it a noodle soup. The first few immediate bites were tasty, but later on I felt really thirsty. Not sure what's in this broth or noodles. I had a few bites of the protein rice entree and that sauce was meant to be savory sweet, but a bit too sweet for my liking. Customer service was a mixed bag. The cashier didn't seem to want to be there and stared at me blankly when ordering, totally understand that the line was long and kept coming so she was probably tired. I would've rather ordered through a self-service kiosk. The lady that handed me the food was upbeat and pleasant. May want to give Lunette another try in the future, but not hurrying back any time soon. #18/2026

These dry noodles are perfection. You get roasted rich umami noddles with big shrimp. Didn't need to add anything to savor every bite. Come early or you'll be standing in a line, especially on the weekend

Very busy and definately worth the wait. Order up front and find seating after you order, it's a little hectic but shows the food is worth it!

I have no other words but wow. I've never had Cambodian food before, and I'm honestly so glad I chose this spot for my first experience. The atmosphere, the vibe, the service, everything was on point. All the workers were welcoming and super friendly. It's inside the Ferry Building, so it can get pretty busy, but honestly that just added to the whole experience. I tried three dishes: Bai Cha (fried chicken): The chicken was crazy crispy and packed with taste. It came with pickled radish and ginger rice. The rice itself was pretty simple, but the chicken easily stole the show. They also served it with a side of soup broth and what I think was a shrimp paste dipping sauce, which was surprisingly really good. Somelaw Guhree (yellow curry): The curry had a rich, comforting depth with a nice balance of spices and creaminess. It wasn't overpowering, just really well put together. Adding chicken gave it a slight crispy contrast that made each bite even better. This was probably my favorite dish!! K.T.P.P Dry Noodles: Definitely a must try. The side broth was bold and had just the right level of saltiness. The noodles themselves were cooked perfectly, not too soft, not too firm, and loaded with a mix of toppings. They didn't hold back on the meat at all too!! I did end up adding a bit more lemon to give it a stronger citrus kick, but overall it was amazing. My friend got the lemon grass chicken which was also really good. Overall, amazing first Cambodian food experience. I'd 100% come back.

I've gone to this cozy, ferry building place so many times in the last month because my new office is nearby and I've been a happy customer every time. My go-to is the salt and pepper beef, but I've heard great things about the noodle dishes there as well. Every bite of food from this place is full of flavor and it's so hard to find Cambodian food in SF. The waiters are all really nice and helpful as well. This place is a gem! Note: I think the portion sizes are fair, but if you are a big eater like me you might not be full

We came in the middle of the day like around 3pm. They only had 2 dishes available, because they were closing soon to get ready for dinner. Good thing it was dishes we didn't mind to have. Both noodle dishes. I had dry & he had actual Kathew. SO flavorful. Lunette is a very nice owner. We talked to her for a bit. I'm so proud of her coming back from closing Oakland spot & opening BIG in the heart of the city showing the Cambodian culture. Makes me happy, Hopefully, more people will know more about Cambodian culture now. Glad we came to try her spot. Will definitely come back, maybe even with work friends. To show the culture, since my husband is Cambodian/Khmai as well.

Lort cha / pork stir fry pin noodles

It was a busy Easter Sunday at the Ferry Building and Lunette had a great flow of customers for the lunch rush. While there is limited seating in front of the restaurant, my friends and I decided to take our orders to go and find an open table to eat at nearby. The restaurant is adorned with bright colors and provides an open-concept atmosphere where you can watch your meal being made. There are both booth seating at the counter and tables to accommodate customers dining in. If this is your first time here, your orders are taken on the right side, where the menus are. It took roughly 15-20 minutes for my meal to arrive, which is understandable due to the small kitchen capacity plus the continued rush of customers that the staff was managing. This is my second time here and I decided to try the lort cha, which is pork stir fry pin noodles. The greens and bean sprouts provide a nice crunch with each bite, while the pin noodles are the perfect thickness to soak up the powerful flavors of the sweet garlic sauce. I appreciate that they don't skimp on the volume of ground pork and eggs. Now, if you're into more spicy flavors, keep in mind that this dish is on the sweeter side and is reminiscent of teriyaki with the balance of sweet and salty. The meal does come with hot sauce and you can also pick up packets of sriracha sauce at the counter. Overall, I really liked this dish and I'm happy to be able to explore Cambodian food here at the Ferry Building!

Lunette has long been on my list of places to try, but I had been waiting it out because every time I walked by, the line was outrageously long. My friend and I decided to try our luck on a Sunday morning right when it opened, and we were one of the few customers to snag a table among the early lunch crowd. I had my heart set on trying the noodles, and after much internal debate, I decided to order the dry noodles. Despite the quickly-growing line, my noodles were prepared in under 10 minutes. The thin rice noodles were coated in a slightly sweet sauce that reminded me of pad Thai (but more savory). The toppings included ground pork, a thin slice of roast pork, bits of charred pork belly, and a couple of prawns. Every single bite was delicious - there was a balance of sweet, salty, and tangy in addition to textural variety from the various forms of pork. The cup of broth served alongside the noodles had a very comforting taste that I sipped in between bites of noodles (vs. the soup). With a squeeze of lime and a drizzle of chile oil, each bite was loaded with flavor. The seating area was small, but it was roped off so it still felt semi-secluded from the bustle of the Ferry Building foot traffic. While I didn't have to wait long to order and receive my food, the line wrapped around the corner by noon. The menu featured many other delicious sounding items, including pork noodle soup, yellow curry, and various chicken rice plates. Next time, I will bring more friends so we can try it all!

We stopped by Lunette on Saturday for lunch after a friend recommended it because she saw it on Netflix, and I am so glad we went. It was my first time trying Cambodian food and it definitely did not disappoint. We all ordered the dry noodle dish and it was absolutely delicious. It came with a side of broth that balanced everything perfectly. I especially loved the jalapeños in fish sauce on the side, such a simple touch but so flavorful. The ambiance reminded me of a food stall, very vibey, and the service was quick and efficient. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes!

Spicy lemongrass Chicken - customized to no spice
    Chandrika B.

Lived this cute little Cambodian spot inside the Ferry building. It's inviting and not too heavy on your pocket when you are craving a decent meal option and still want to save room for dessert or coffee after. In $50, we got: - spicy lemongrass tofu - 4/5 - loved the heat and the crunch from the bell peppers - spicy lemongrass chicken - 4/5 - customized to have chilis on the side and keep the main fish zero spice for the kiddo. Lots of chicken and looked saucy. You have to order at the counter and then they get your order to your table. We did a to-go and sat outside in the sun. Its closed sunday and monday! Will try the noodles next time :)

    Lok Lak

This place took me by surprise! The utensils, the decors, and everything remind me so much of home! For context, I lived in Asia for a long time and haven't seen familiar vibes forever! It made me felt like I'm sitting in a local food stall in Asia vs being in a fancy spot in a ferry building. They really said "Proud Cambodians" in every aspect of the place! So, here's my two cents Food: we got dry noodles and Lok Lak. Both dishes are very tasty and each bite transport me back to being in Asia. Dry noodles comes with a bowl of broth so you have the option to add a little bit of liquid if you so choose. The dry noodles also come with HUGE shrimps, chewy rice noodles, sliced lime ‍, crispy garlic for the crunch, minced pork, and all cilantro and scallions to bring it all together. This is a dish to reach for when you want noodles but you don't want hot broths. It's quite filling and goes well with a cup of iced water or lemony drink of your choice. As for the Lok Lak? Think beef fillet mignon meets peppery taste! It served along side of fluffy and fragrant jasmine rice, which is such a perfect combination. Feels like a warm hug with each bite if I'm honest. The red onion adds complexity with its crunchiness whilst balancing everything together. It's a beautiful marriage between the beef, peppers, and the sauce that they use. I put a bit of fish sauce chili, a common condiment found in any Southeast Asian food establishment. The fish sauce heightens all the flavors and makes the bites much more satisfying than the last. 5/5 Service: Since it's a small space, you will have to fight to get the table, which is on par with what you have to do at any food stalls in Asia! We paid for our orders first as to go order since it was packed. Eventually, we found a spot to sit and the staffs are very attentive in making sure we have all the right tools to enjoy our meals. We can sit as long as we like and they do not shoo us out! 5/5 recommend. Ambiance: it's in ferry building which means you'll be dealing with loud noises. This is good to know if you tend to get overstimulated. But for me, it adds to the nostalgia of being in a good food stall somewhere in Asia. If you prefer water front view with seagull friends, you can take the order to go. Either way, it's a good place to get authentic food and being exposed to the experience. 5/5 recommend Fun Tip: if you're a noob and have upcoming Asia trip, it's a good idea to practice your palette by eating here. Asian food, especially Southeast Asian food, is complex , layered, and adventurous. It can be overwhelming for the virgins as the flavor profiles are rich, has depth, and relatively complex. Plus, some ingredients such as fish sauce could be off putting due to strong odor but that's half the fun ! Give it a try, I dare you!

Outstanding. We went for the annual Ferry Building Valentine Fundraiser called "Love Bites " but after tasting several Napa wines & some small bites I was still hungry and walked by Lunette which had a long line for dining, so I knew this would be a wise choice. As I contemplated my order I had to ask a few people in line what they recommended and boy did they. I ordered the Dry Noodle bowl, it has less broth but a savory cup of broth on the side. It's for dipping the noodles in as you pluck them out of the bowl with your chopsticks. This bowl of yummy noodles and that broth was a "Wow" kinda like a good Pho broth. So tasty, so favorable. Perfect seasonings not too spicy, you can add chili sauce. The place was happening, music, chatter, people sharing food, workers were kind and one of them actually kept an eye on us, he taught us not to pour the broth into the bowl, which we were about to do. Saved by the cook. I highly recommend this Cambodia restaurant, similar to good Vietnamese cuisine. I would seek this fun place out next time I'm at the SF Ferry building and I recommend you do too.

I've been really wanting to try this place after seeing reviews of it on social media. I'm so happy my boyfriend and I came here after our night out LOL the soup noodle was perfect. Service was fast. I was worried about not finding a table to dine in at but there was enough space. Here are our food ratings: Soup Noodle - 8/10, delicious! very flavorful broth. the slices of pork were the best. i didn't end up finishing all the shrimp but it was still yum. Dry Noodle - 8.2/10, "good but a lil dry" -boyfriend I was eyeing food at other tables and want to come back to try some of the other dishes soon.

We were a large group of 15, including several kids, and we completely understand that the restaurant is small and accommodating a group our size can be challenging. We waited in line for almost an hour with around 6 children. During the wait, a staff member named Sue came outside, asked how many people were in our group, and handed us menus. Since it was our first visit, we were naturally asking questions and trying to understand the menu. Unfortunately, throughout the interaction, her body language and expressions felt impatient and unwelcoming. There was visible frustration and eye-rolling, which made us feel uncomfortable rather than welcomed. Even after we were seated, the experience continued to feel tense. One of the toddlers in our group started crying briefly -- something fairly common with young children -- and we were told to "keep it low out of respect." While we absolutely respect other diners, the way it was communicated felt lacking in empathy, especially on a busy Mother's Day with families dining out. A small gesture of kindness or understanding could have gone a long way. Instead, my friend felt compelled to take the child outside, which was disappointing. Additionally, after being seated, we had to remind the staff multiple times to come take our orders. What makes this especially unfortunate is that the ramen itself was truly delicious and lived up to the hype. The food was excellent, which is why this experience was so disappointing overall. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because customer service and hospitality matter just as much as the food experience. Unfortunately, this was not the ideal way to end our Mother's Day celebration.

It's more than enough for 2 people to go home in food comas (with some food remaining) and for 3 to be sufficiently full. If you have big eaters, order an app alongside if you have 3 people. The Galbi stew was exceptional. I liked that they had various levels of spiciness. We went with spicy and it had a nice kick that elevated the dish for me. The beef was very tender and flavorful and the veggies and rice cakes soaked up all the juices. And the cheese was so stretchy! I'd actually rank this place slightly above Daeho given the shorter wait, the quality, and the price. I'll be back for sure.
