I love love love this grocery store, minus the carpet lol. OMG!!! Those chunky chocolate chip cookies were deliciously sinful. I'm not a huge sweet tooth person but my Lord, I couldn't resist going back a few times to buy those cookies. I'm not sure what they put in there besides the walnuts and chocolate chips but boy oh boy, they are amazing. Aside from that, this appears to be a higher end store with a lot of healthy food options. It's expensive but when has eating healthy not been expensive? Whole Paycheck (aka Whole Foods) is always robbing me when I buy purple potatoes and ground bison, to name a few. But Lunds & Byerlys was my go to for eggs, synergy, bagels, cookies and other snacks when I was in Plymouth. The self checkout cashiers were always near lol but friendly. Seemed like they trying to catch someone pilfering. Baby, I'm not going to jail or hell for stealing a cookie. Nah, not today satan. Overall, I loved shopping here and it's a good thing they're in Minnesota because I'd be shooting up Ozempic weekly just to eat their cookies. read more

Very classy place in a very classy neighborhood. It's always busy and not very crammed. There dining room is full of light or you can sit outside and the summertime and enjoy the huge parking view. Talking about parking it's really huge and there are a few other nice stores next to it. Prices tend to be little bit pricier, I blame it on real estate. Service is decent and I have never seen any drama going on at the store since I've been coming here summer 2014. Every now and then you see a police car patrolling the parking lot. Do you have ready to eat food by weight at lunchtime and in the evening. And it's usually good. read more

Ask the Cheesemonger for some tips, she's very knowledgeable! Very fun to pickup and to check out what's new, different and of course the favorite standard ones too. It still blows my mind that they have carpet! A grocery store has carpet and also, dont they have a mini chandelier ? or am i just imagining this. I think they do. I have never had a bad experience at this location. They always have the shelf's stocked up, the buffet is always on point and their employees are decent. I dont really interact with them because i do the "self check out" so i cant say much on that part BUT i have had interactions with the Bakery people ( I like cake ) and their pretty cool. So the bakery has my stamp of approval. The prices are decent. I used to be a big Cub Foods and also Rainbow ( Rainbow is gone :-( ) shopper and I still remember when I walked into my first Lunds & Byerly's and saw their prices I almost had a melt down, I felt broke AF and I only picked up a box of cookies that were by the entrance. I bought them just to say I bought something from Byerlys and experience rich people food. lmao I had to be like 14 at the time. Any who I barely shop for my groceries here. I mainly come for the bakery and the buffet they have. I love their wild rice and mash potatoes.. I really like their chocolate rice krispi bars they make. They also have a wine shop. Only been in maybe once or twice and again never had a bad experience. Im not much of a wine person I am more of a beer person. so of course me knowing nothing about wines on what to smell in a wine and color and what wine goes with what food and presentation. It gets so complicated! Just like wine people iv noticed, so complicated. So of course I need some customer service and the both times were great I still was confused as to what wine i bought but the man seemed like he knew what he was talking about so i went with it. I ordered groceries for delivery from this location last week and had a less than stellar experience. My order arrived more than an hour later than the scheduled delivery window and several of the items I received were saturated with a white milky substance. I promptly called the Lunds/Byerlys customer service number to report the issue but since my order arrived so late (after 9 pm) the service line had closed for the night. I sent an email to the customer service email address found on their website to let them know what had happened. I expected someone would either call or email me back the next day. Nope. I have emailed three times and called twice but still have not heard a word from the customer service manager. I expected much better service from Lunds/Byerlys. The delivery issues were disappointing to say the least. What really bothers me is that no-one from their service center will contact me back. It wasn't the lost groceries or service delay. It was the feeling that my issue does not matter and that I wasn't treated like a valued customer. Isn't that what we pay extra for? Less wordy summary... In store shopping is great, but buyer beware when it comes to grocery delivery. read more

3/3/19 I ordered delivery. While my order was correct, the delivery person was shockingly rude. He walked from my tiled entry way to my newly installed wood floor with his snow dripping shoes. I don't know what L&B's policies and procedures are for delivery, but if walking into a house with filthy dripping shoes, I'll use HyVee instead. Second problem, he chastised me for the payment method I selected because it was inconvenient for him. Why is that payment method available then? Third, insisted next time I use Instacart instead of their service. Fourth and finally, instead of allowing me to sign for my payment and delivery, he informed me that he'd initial for me and stated that he does it all the time--especially for old people because "they can't hold a pen straight". I was so appalled!! I tried to call the store numerous times. No one answered. None of the extension numbers worked on their menu. Finally I got to an answering machine, but couldn't leave a message since the mailbox was full. So, since I was obstructed from talking to anyone affiliated with or present at the store, I'm leaving this review for all the good people of Yelp. My suggestion: Forget Lund's and Byerly's and simply use HyVee delivery instead. It's easier, more professional, and less of a headache :) read more

This place is close to my work, so I end up through its doors quite often. Not because of the prices, which is completely insane, but because it is convenient (open until 11pm, close to work), customer service is excellent and produce is high quality. The produce is very expensive. However, in my experience you get what you pay for. I've purchased plums at Cub and end up spitting them out by the time I get to my car. At Byerly's, my chances of enjoying my plum experience triple. The apples are also HUGE, mostly delicious...but expensive. I also go here for lunch when I get sick of Subway. They have a Big Bowl, Caribou and Sushi bar. Their sandwiches, salad bar and hot meals are fantastic. They also have ample seating. It shares the same parking lot as Barnes and Noble and Target. So I can grab a book, buy $100 of consumer products that I don't need then blow the rest on groceries, and I don't have to move my car. read more

Apparently, the store manager visited a sake tasting and feel in love with it...so he makes sure they are well stocked. Best selection of Sake I have seen in the Twin Cities. This is for the grocery store... Great deli. I sometimes get meals here to go. This is just a generally impressive grocery store. read more

Here in arch-suburbia, this place sells premium foods at premium prices. One neat thing worth mentioning besides the usual things is that instead of carrying things out at the registers, you can pay and then pull up along the side of the building and have your purchases loaded into your car for you. I do not come here often because of the high prices. However, every time I do shop here, I am always impressed by the quality of service I receive. On my last visit, I came specifically for cupcakes from the bakery. However,I arrived after the bakery department was closed. As a last resort, I asked if there was anyone available who could possibly still allow me to purchase the cupcakes I had come for. The manager actually ended up walking back to the bakery with me and boxed up the cupcakes I wanted from the display case. She was so helpful and friendly, and she totally saved the day! The cupcakes both looked and tasted awesome, and they were a huge hit with the friend I had bought them for! This store gets big points with me for their amazing customer service and great baked goods! I just wish that the prices were a bit more reasonable... read more

Before Whole Foods there way Byerlys. And honestly Byerlys is much much better then WF. Byerlys has booze. Suburban Wine and Spirits attached to it. Amazing selection, sake and vodka they've got it. The bakery section is to kill for, they carry everything, including a complete set of all the best kosher bulkies and challas from our own MN kosher breads line. The sweets look amazing, and if I ever need a cake, this is my place to go. The produce is great, but pricey. The meats, fishes, and cheeses are great, extensive selection and very knowledgeable staff. They also have an extensive prepared foods department, and most of the stuff there is great. I love their eggrolls. Overall, Id shop here all the time, if it wasnt for prices. read more

I was in a hurry the other day around lunch time and decided to kill two birds with one stone and run an errand and grab a quick lunch at Byerly's. I was expecting a typical grocery store deli...wow, was I wrong! They had a huge selection. I finally settled on fried chicken from the deli. More importantly, I was introduced to the concept of sweet potato tots. I had no idea they existed, but boy were they great! The price was pretty comparable to a value meal at most fast food restaurants, so I have absolutely added this to my list of potential lunch places. As far as the rest of the store, it's quite a bit more expensive than Cub or Rainbow. If you are looking to save money, I would probably recommend getting the basics somewhere else and maybe splurging on fish or steak here. read more

Full disclosure: I am not from here, and I used to shop at Wegmans. Wegmans ruined me; nothing will compare, and if you have been a regular at a Wegmans, you know exactly what I am talking about. THE GOOD: The eat-in meals are fresh and priced more than reasonably. Big bowl has a a decent veggie pad thai that is chock full of veggies and only $5 on Sunday (and they have sambal in individual packets like ketchup). The salad bar is great, and the olive bar is nice as well. I see they have a gourmet grilled cheese shop now. The meat and seafood selection is really where they shine. The staff are knowledgeable and eager to help. The deli counter has boar's head meats. You can get specialty items (e.g. chocolate fig spread and quality cheeses) while still stocking up on essentials (e.g. Charmin and Cheerios). It is handy having people load groceries into my car for me. No annoying tags for a frequent shopper club. If there is a BOGO free deal, everyone gets it. THE BAD: The produce is in the back. Grocery stores that do this usually have something to hide, and Byerly's is no exception. The produce is overpriced (and by overpriced, I mean that Trader Joes was selling cherries for half the price, and Rainbow foods was selling sugar snap peas for 33% less . In addition to being overpriced, the produce is of poor quality. I had to hunt to find decent green peppers...at the end of June. This is not normal. The produce I mentioned before? Both Trader Joes and Rainbow were visited on the same day as Byerly's and both had better quality than Byerly's (I was trying very hard to find "my" grocery store the day I went to all three). The produce is also very limited. Interested in watercress? Not here. Want a single red onion? A yellow onion? For some reason it was not offered (twice when I visited there were only two types of onions: "hamburger onions" and vidalia). THE INDIFFERENT: The carpet. Not sure why people are so excited about this. I would take a firm green pepper in my grocery store over carpet any day. THE VERDICT: I do most of my shopping in the produce section, and this is the major area of weakness for Byerly's. I wanted Byerly's to work, but I just don't think it will work for me. read more

My favorite byerlys! Other locations are much closer, but I don't mind going the extra couple miles to this one. The deli is always equipped with a knowledgable associate.... Friendly and knowledgable! Most of the good meals were developed here with the help of the staff that loves food as much as I do. The store is clean, organized well and well lit! Wanna go out for lunch but you don't know what you want???? Byerly's to the rescue! They have sushi, subs, Big Bowl chinese food, "homecooked" meal, soups, salad bar, and more! Just don't get the premade potato salads and cold noodles (that's why it's a 4 star rating). It made me sick one time! Overall though, everything else is so good when you're hungry and it's such a good break from work. You get to leave your cubicle and see other people that dress up just like you! read more

We went here to obtain some dinner that was close to our hotel, the Sheraton. The grilled cheese sandwich that I got was good and also included a pickle and an apple. We got a selection of deli salads, which were not as good and a little overpriced based on not being the best salads that I've ever had. The store was huge and includes several bars where you can serve yourself food. Some of the staff were very friendly in the deli area and some just made me think that they wanted to get out of there and go home, which they probably did, but you don't want to project that to your hungry and tired customers. read more

The store is laid out very smartly, and the meat & seafood counter is one of the best on this side of the suburbs -- including a lobster tank that is a 10. Fresh veggies, great salad bar, nice staff. Obviously if you go during prime time, wear some elbow pads and a good pair of New Balance running shoes to squeak your way through the crowd. But if you can manage to shop off peak times, it can be a really pleasant experience. read more

Sometimes, I get Big Bowl Express and other times, I pick up sushi or something from the deli. It's reasonably priced, good quality food. Lunds & Byerly's do not consider customers who order groceries delivered worthy of any consideration. Based on the records of my last six months of orders over 90% were missing items, though I was charged for these items. They have charged me hundreds to reorder without making any attempt to remedy the situation. Considering that stores this size are inventoried based on computer programs one wonders why they waste time bothering with delivery except as a way to further line corporate pockets. If you are physically able to shop on your own, or a business, I suggest avoiding any form of Lunds delivery. In fact, seriously consider another store. read more

I love this Byerly's. It's convenient for me, the staff is friendly, and it's well laid-out so things are easy to find. They recently renovated and added self-checkout, so it's even faster to get in and out. The one downside is prices. I don't do my regular grocery shopping here because my grocery expenses would come out substantially higher, but it's very convenient when I just need one or two things. read more

What horrible customer service. I have been a Byerlys online customer for many years out of St Paul then Woodbury a recent move placed me under the Ridgedale store. Every order has had items unavailable, some have had an item or two missing. Once all my fresh veggies arrived frozen, I had problem with the meat department for excessive bones in salmon and poorly cut meat but this is the last straw. My delivery person yesterday arrived with a frustrated look on her face and when I inquired if the roads were bad she informed that I was lucky she made it because the office had messed up her route. She did seem more friendly as she was leaving but later I noticed that I had 6 bags of shrimp missing the deli salads I ordered for dinner that night were already brown - sad. I called the store to report the missing shrimp and she said the manager would call me first thing in the morning. After not hearing from the manager I called the Byerlys online number and was told they couldn't get through to the store. And someone would call, now just so you know most of my orders revolve around get togethers/parties so either you deliver or I need to go buy other options. Anyhow after an hours or so I called back and was forwarded to the store some rude frantic person answered and told me she didn't know if they could deliver the missing shrimp or not. Then out of nowhere a Byerlys truck shows up and I was delivered 6 bags of the wrong shrimp. Thanks for the effort but I won't be ordering from you guys anymore. I usually spend around $600-$1000 a month in your store but you have lost my business. read more

Salad bar is huge and fresh. This is the only grocery store I will buy fresh fish at. Always have excellent service there! It's a little pricey, but definitely worth the price on certain things, like salad bar, fish, and produce. Oh and the bakery!! read more
