I love my local Trader Joe's. The selection is great and the staff is so accommodating. At the check out line the cashier asked if I needed anything for a car snack. I thought that was clever. Of course I had to get my favorite the beef bulgogi. I also needed more gyoza for my son. I may have picked up a few chocolate bars. They are addictive.

Pros: One of the larger stores on this side of the country Plenty of parking and the aisles are nice and wide Fresh, reasonably priced produce Helpful, friendly staff So many cashiers! Wonderful fresh flowers Love the snacks and nut options Ample wine and spirit selections Cons: Wish they offered more frozen food options and fresh cheese Pro tip: So much better than Whole Foods. Definitely worth putting on your grocery rotation

Trader Joe's is my favorite grocery store in the Twin Cities and although I don't frequent this particular location often, it fulfills my grocery needs when I do. I was recently there the day after Valentine's Day to snag some February Fearless Flyer goodies. I grabbed a bouquet of pink roses for my mom (a dozen roses for $9.99) and was in love with their selection. They always have the BEST flowers for the cheapest price. As for treats, I grabbed a box that are my absolute guilty pleasure - brookies ($4.49). I don't eat a whole lot of sweets, but brookies have my heart. So soft, and the perfect blend of a chocolate chip cookie and brownie. They had raspberry hearts too - their cute shortbread cookies with the raspberry filling in the middle. A Valentine staple. Prices on many of their baked goods were a bit steep, but we noticed the cheapest option were the brownies for anyone craving desserts. I also got a box of their Garlic Naan crackers ($3.79 a box). Can't forget about their pull apart cheddar jalapeño bread - a great snack or start to any meal! For frozen goods, my boyfriend and I really like their chicken fried rice and pork dumplings. I enjoy their lamb vindaloo too. I get it often as a quick meal that's filling. You can't go wrong with any of their pizzas or flatbreads either if you're having guests over. Our checkout was quick and the lady was sweet - she smelled the roses and told us how beautiful they are. She was right - days later, and the roses are blooming and vibrant. My mom loved them!

I was in a plaza that has Olive Garden, Staples, and Michaels. After visiting all three stores, I got into my rental car and decided to check the rest of it out. It's a fairly large plaza. Guess what? I lucked out and spotted Trader Joe's. I immediately parked and went in to check it out. I like Trader Joe's because it has unique items that work with my food habits. I tend to consume sugar-free soy beverage. This place has it. I picked up a carton. I am also borderline lactose-intolerant. I found dairy-free mini mochi. I bought a package of Thai tea mini mochi. OMG, it's creamy and yummy. I also don't feel too guilty eating them because they are small. Staying in a hotel room with a kitchenette has its advantages. I like eating breakfast in my room. I managed to buy mini (see a theme?) chicken tacos that do not contain any dairy. They are so flavourful and delicious! I normally like getting snacks here. However, I wasn't in snacking mode, so I didn't. The turkey jerky looked good, though. I may have to go back and get some. The young man at the cashout area was so friendly and nice. I paid with a credit card. He bagged all my items and wished me a great day. I do hope that Trader Joe's will come to Canada. In the meantime, I can simply enjoy shopping at one whenever I am in the States. This one is perfect. It has everything that I need and love. (1)

I have to admit that I am a Trader Joe's fan and, having just moved to the area, I was pleased to find the Minnetonka store. It has everything thing that I really like about TJ's: great prepared foods, reasonable prices and super friendly staff. And the wine is really good value for money.

Small human minimalist universalist store: you do not have to walk 50 yards to get your item. Well managed space. They always have free coffee which is my treat. And some free food to try. It convinced me a few times to buy and try new stuff. They keep bringing a few varieties here in there. Their organic apples are the best. Frozen food is excellent.

Swiss was the Cady Wisconsin that was the cheapest and just as good as any other. A good amount of staff working the deli. The bread was close by. I like that I can get the house artisan brand as a half loaf. Different varieties as well. What I was really there for. I got hooked on Fever-Tree sparkling pink grapefruit water. It's a 4 pack in 6.8 oz. bottles. A small size, but at least it keeps you from feeling bloated. It's delicious and would be a good mixer base. They have a lot of different flavors. This is actually nice to look at. 35 calories and no artificial sweeteners. As you walk in is the cheese in the center. I passed this time, but my favorite brie is the Fromage brand. This seems like a smaller building than others which seems to make it less crazy. The check out experience was most memorable. Two of the coolest staff. One was so colorful, super friendly. She asked if I wanted the receipt. I almost passed then I spotted the thing where you donate your receipt. I donated to a local high school marching band. I was proud of that. The other was younger, still looked like a student who packed and took my bags to the trunk which I popped cause I had to use the rest room on the long schlep back to St. Paul. She seemed like she was glad to be there just to help me out. This makes me want a summer place here.

They have an excellent prepared food section to feed hangry. There is a plethora of options for you to build a lunch. I went to the deli where they had even more food and got a couple of chicken finger meals. They were heaping in chicken tenders, fries and mac & cheese. The prices are good for the amount of food you get. Heck, then you realize there is a supermarket attached, lol and a coffee shop and you can get a lot of odds and ends while you are there.
