This Cub is independently owned. It is not a corporate store. We have shopped there since its inception. Staff are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable . Some staff have been there many years. The store is always clean. It's well organized. Does not have that warehouse feel. It offers a great variety of foods. Very much a part of the Minnetonka community. Location is convenient and parking is ample. read more

Follow-up to 12/19/21 review: Self checkout #4 is still not working. When I asked about this the employee, who identified herself as a manager got very defensive. ( Never a good sign when the word 'Actually' is used that frequently especially with a angry and contemptuous tone used in the response. ) After being told off, she wanted to emphasized that 'Actually.... it is very important to me that this get fixed!' And she then stared at the device that has been broken for over a month and is causing a backup for customers. I think she was trying to do a Care Bear Stare to fix the device but I am not sure. read more

I used to tell everyone that this was my favorite grocery store in the area. But since their "remodel ", the prices have gone up while the choices have gone down. I used to be able to find most everything I needed there, but not anymore. Just wish we had a reliable grocery store in this area, with good selections. Targets shelves are never stocked and this store has now less choices with higher prices. read more

I love this store with one huge exception, they never have enough cashiers on, it's the one thing that could drive me to a different store. They have managers standing everywhere and nobody does a damn thing, they just stand there, I mean most the time customers are stacked 8 to 10 people deep. I was in the industry for over thirty years and every stock person and most managers I had could run a register, it's really sad. Your meat department is second to none, and the rest of the store is above average. But the customer service sucks, I bet Arnie is rolling over in his grave. I know he wouldn't stand for the way it's being done, he was a great customer service person. That's what that store's success was built on, it's to bad it's gone away. read more

$163.00 - store is okay but not a single employee said hello even when within a foot... Cashiers all standing around and no one helped to bag... even our own cashier who turned his back after we paid. All very sad for a company that once cared about its customers. UPDATE- We received a call from the store manager. his response was swift and resulted in our satisfaction. We will continue to shop this store knowing that our service animal is welcome..... We have been visiting this CUB for several years. Today my wife visited with her service dog as she always has. A new woman has been put in as shift manager and told her that she could not bring our service animal in without his vest. We have papers.She said she doesn't care, its against store policy. IT IS NOT! This is against the ADA federal law. This is a case of someone with to little knowledge put in power. This will not be the end of this story. We have dealt with this at Walmart, and Walgreens in the past. The result was an entire retraining of the employees in question, and a formal apology. read more

I love this cub store. I get a feeling of "Down Home" when I shop there. I love the managers meat specials. The staff is very friendly. I have never not found what I was looking for. I big time choose this cub over others in the area. Perhaps because it is franchise owned. You get a feeling of personsonalization...(Is that a word!!!!) I guess in my mind it is. I highly recommend stopping in and checking it out. And take a drive around Lake Minnetonka after!!! read more

Minnetonka Cub on 101 is the best grocery store around. There are closer stores, but this one is worth the drive. They recently made more room for more produce and natural foods. The manager, Brian, is the nicest, most helpful person. The seafood is the freshest you will find in the Twin Cities. read more

Rarely write reviews but I've reached my limit with Cub in Minnetonka! Conservatively, I would say 60% of the time I shop here, I am charged incorrect prices on at least an item or get home to find produce at the edge of usability or items very near expiration. I now will not leave the store without going thru my receipt and checking. We have gotten to the point we study (especially the pre-packaged lettuces') for spoilage. This last trip put me over the edge as I was returning an expired item...the "person in charge" of the dept where the product resided (Kris) happened to be standing behind me at the service counter listening to my account. We had not saved the receipt as it was a few days after purchase we realized these items were past expiration. Kris' comment was "well isn't that convenient they have no receipt". I let him know just how "convenient" it is shopping at Cub...they turn a 20 minute shopping trip into an hour (or more) research project to see if I'm actually being charged the advertised prices or purchasing food that is really edible! My next email will go to Aldi's begging for store closer to our home...until then I'll be spending the time and gas to go to their Maple Grove or St. Louis Park stores. read more

Been shopping here for 24 years, last night's self-service assistance was so poor I walked out without my groceries. Do not appreciate being yelled the directions as the "self-service assistant manager" was walking by and not stopping to assist and he wasn't even busy just standing by his little stand! Today I went to this Cub because it was close to where I was working. This is not my usual Cub foods. The frozen foods dept is limited and small, and the lights were not working behind the glass freezer doors making it hard to see what I was looking for. (Never did find it anyway.) I survived that. But when I checked out, Ian, my cashier spilled my carton of tomatoes open and picked them all up and put them back into the plastic carton (5 second rule?). I asked him if he could put a rubber band on the carton and also on my blueberry cartons. He just got flustered and said he didn't have any rubber bands (not very apologetic). Then I asked (very nicely) if when he got a second if he could page his manager or a team leader to bring him a few, and I would put them on. He didn't acknowledge that request at all. I know he heard me. It was AWKWARD!!! (I have had a teenage son, and I was being kind.) Then the manager walked by and I asked, "Ian, is that your manager?" (Because I thought I'd just ask him myself and do it on my own so he could get on with the next customer.) He looked at me in an exasperated way and said, "I don't know who the manager is." (Wow, really?) He gave me my receipt and I started bagging while he was helping the next in line. I called the manager over and after asking if he was the manager, he replied, "Yes." I nicely asked him if I might get 3 rubber bands for my cartons of blueberries and tomatoes and he was fast to respond. He gave me a few extra and I gave my extras to Ian, and mentioned to the manager that Ian didn't have any and he might want to get him a few. The whole thing was like a "who's on first" but, worse than that, I didn't feel like anyone cared at all and honestly, I could not have been nicer! Now, I'm not feeling so nice. I was trying to make their bad situation better and I could not wait to get out of there. Sounds like a small thing, but it made me appreciate my own Cub foods so much more. I will not be returning to this Cub again. Irritating! read more
