I shop at Trader Joe's in Eagan, MN and it's 1/2 mile from my home. The store is a little pricey if you plan on purchasing organic meat. I love the store and I go in a random basis and I'm a single woman African American so I normally spend on my side items and fruits is normally $50-70 per trip. So, imagine if you have a family of two or three , you'll easily spend $150.00 -$200.00. I love the store, but come in with a full wallet or credit card!!

I love a good Trader Joe's run! This SLP location is centrally located off of Excelsior. Park can be tough, especially on the weekends. TJs doesn't have everything you need, but a great freezer section. Also samples came back!

I can't believe this, I'm so excited I'm shaking. I just stepped into and shopped in the first Trader Joe's in MN This is what I was told, and if you heard otherwise please don't ruin this for me. Because of its pretty urban location, the parking lot may struggle to accommodate everyone. I parked on the street. As far as products and service, my very attentive cashier noticed an egg that was a bit on the brittle side and had a co-worker bring me a 'better' carton. So all and all I'm pretty happy with my shopping experience.

10/1/22: very tight parking. Better to park in garage down the street.

10/4/22: Came here a couple of times during my visit to Minnesooootttaaahhh. I'm always a fan of TJ's and whenever we're in this part of the city, this is the location we come to (but my fave is Woodbury: huge parking lot). Great products, prices & service! Pretty much all TJ's are alike, 5 stars. The only reason I gave this location 4 stars is because of their tiny, horrid parking lot. It's a fender bender always waiting to happen. We never park in their lot. PRO TIP: park in the Excelsior & Grand parking garage that's just down the street. It's free, and it'll hopefully lessen your chances of your car getting dinged. They also have apartments above their store, so I can only imagine the rent there! But what convenience for those residents!

Well....what can I say about Trader Joe's that hasn't already been said??? Despite it being out of the way for me, here's why I go: 1) the flowers are inexpensive, ranging from $3.99-$9.99, and of really good quality. 2) the churro's in the frozen dessert section are pretty good. I find that I never use/need the entire packet of cinnamon sugar therefore I save the rest for other foods....like waffles. Also for a great dipping sauce melt some chocolate using hot heavy cream and then add orange zest. YUM! 3) the tea tree shampoo at $3.99 is just as good as the pricier Aveda brand and I love the tingle on my scalp. The conditioner is also good. 4) the Joseph Handler Sweet Red wine at $5.99 which I love, despite not being a fan of red wine. I also appreciate the friendly staff (well most are) and how quickly they ring you up and get you out.

I realize that the parking is very tight but I much prefer this TJ's to the one in Minnetonka which is like a big box store with no charm.

They have some fantastic alcohol alternatives, including kava and CBD (including--hooray!--THC-free options) for those in need of chill in a can. Today, though, I want to focus on why I will be making many more visits for the foreseeable future. My friends, the Andes Gifts textiles are in. I repeat: Andes Gifts knitted goods are in! If you know, you know. If you don't, let me tell you. These fair-trade knitted accessories are not only warm as heck (thanks to the fleece-lined alpaca) but also absolutely darling. With everything from headbands to flippers to socks, you will find something to keep your extremities toasty. I personally favor the animal hats (and have purchased at least a dozen over the years). Available in sizes for kids and adults, these unique hats are guaranteed to get you smiles and giggles when gifted (or worn). New this year are knitted hand puppets that I am absolutely going to use as mittens, because life is too short to not do the little things that delight you.

I came in here wanting something fermented and found just what I was looking for: spicy kimchi. I was delighted to see that they have a great selection of fish-free kimchis along with the traditional anchovy and shrimp containing kinds. There's even a local brand that looks intriguing (next time). I also perused the gift section and bought myself a new lunch bag. I admired the gorgeous alpaca items--the hats are fun and they have some of the most gorgeous knots I've ever seen. Don't miss their mittens and gloves: warm, beautiful, and oh-so-functional (you can fold the tops off for extra dexterity!). I also went through the supplements and beauty section and bought some vitamins (I do love my vitamins) and a lip balm. The lip balms here are all really good, and it's easy to find petroleum free if you prefer. All the ones that I looked at were largely plant-based, though many contain beeswax. Very friendly staff and ample parking make this a great place to grab yourself a treat. (While I wasn't shopping for produce today, I love to go through the produce section.
