This is my neighborhood co-op, and I love supporting it. This grocery market is the perfect spot for finding specific items of high quality with a minimal ingredient list-label. For example - I am religious about getting my deli turkey meat from here, it has no added sugar and a moderate amount of salt - plus it is from a local farm! I also love that they offer pure stevia in liquid form without unnecessary additives. The tea and coffee selection is SO on point here! I can always find my valerian root tea and others, and I notice the freshness and flavor of the coffee beans when making my french press coffee. The staff here are also always kind and helpful, and this co-op has a nice laid-back neighborhood feel.

I happened to be out and about running some errands and needed some magnesium. I search to see what co-op I could find between where I was and were I was heading next. This is were I ended up. If I could have vote to have a standard of what a co-op SHOULD be, THIS PLACE IS IT!!! They had SO many cool things I have never seen at my local co-op, nor many of the other ones I frequent. They had the bulk sections, the beautiful product, dinning seating area, awesome supplement and personal care, lots of cool baby things... All that and the cozy co-op feel that I love.

Fresh Thyme is still one of the most wonderful places in St. Louis Park as far as I am concerned…read more I can count on them to have amazing products of all kinds, including an excellent selection of supplements and functional beverages. They have some fantastic alcohol alternatives, including kava and CBD (including--hooray!--THC-free options) for those in need of chill in a can. Today, though, I want to focus on why I will be making many more visits for the foreseeable future. My friends, the Andes Gifts textiles are in. I repeat: Andes Gifts knitted goods are in! If you know, you know. If you don't, let me tell you. These fair-trade knitted accessories are not only warm as heck (thanks to the fleece-lined alpaca) but also absolutely darling. With everything from headbands to flippers to socks, you will find something to keep your extremities toasty. I personally favor the animal hats (and have purchased at least a dozen over the years). Available in sizes for kids and adults, these unique hats are guaranteed to get you smiles and giggles when gifted (or worn). New this year are knitted hand puppets that I am absolutely going to use as mittens, because life is too short to not do the little things that delight you.

Made an impromptu visit to The Wedge last night, about 45 minutes before closing. Surprisingly…read morestill pretty lively....shoppers hustling around at that hour. I'm a lookerrrr, so I loved taking my time to really look around. The store is bright, clean, and stocked. Good variety: groceries, deli and bakery items, personal care products, and even a small jewelry section tucked in. Prices felt fair....nothing that gave me sticker shock. Didn't have much interaction with staff aside from a quick (and quiet) checkout, but everyone seemed friendly from a distance. Parking was fine, which is always a bonus. I'm not from the Minneapolis area, so I wouldn't make a special trip just to come here, but if I'm nearby and need something, I'd happily stop in again.

I was in the area so I hoped that the Wedge co-op would have smoothies, and they did! I purchased a breakfast fuel smoothie that ended up being a little too nut buttery for me. This is my fault, remember I've been sick so I wasn't reading properly! The smoothie maker happily gave me some pineapple juice to add which helped. He declined my offer of payment for said juice. The real winner is the two bites of macaroni and cheese and macaroni and mushrooms from the hot bar that my stomach handled. It wasn't too salty or too greasy. Once I have my appetite back, I'll def come back for full portions! They have a nice quiet seating area that's always been clean when I visit. Parking is parking at the wedge. It's never as bad as anticipated.
