Poor customer service and predatory tactics to get you to shop here. They mailed me a $10 off coupon since I recently moved to the area. I showed up, followed all directions ($40 minimum spend), made sure it was for the right location and not expired. When scanned, it said "already scanned" which is DEFINITELY not the case since I just took it off my fridge today. I asked if the manager could override the issue and she ACCUSED me of trying to cheat the system. I'm sorry that YOUR system was incorrect. Even though my husband is a Target employee and we get the discount, I still find myself here at least two times a month. You can always find unique items for a great price. A few things I love to get here because you can't beat the price - turkey bacon, salami, Brie cheese, feta and spinach sausage, grass fed butter, and sandwich bread! Aldi's has really stepped up their selection of produce with the new stores. Nobody can beat the everyday value on the produce section! The new stores offer more room and selection. The gluten free section is always nice with value and selection. The quality is very very good. I alway come here first to get my groceries before I go somewhere else like Fresh Thyme or Wal-Mart. The checkout lines are lightning fast! This location has the best parking situation of any other Aldi's! So happy this one is very close! read more

Let's not beat around the bush....this place smells weird and they ALL smell the same. The smell is like the food version of walking into a second hand clothing store, you just know when you've arrived. The great thing about this place is their diapers! I've saved a boatload on my second born getting the diapers from Aldi and so far they've been fantastic. I do however, still buy a name rand nighttime diaper for overnights. I do really like that they now have organic and gluten free options. However, I will still go to Fresh Thyme for fruits/veggies and Hy-Vee for meat and those departments still lack in my opinion. I think Aldi is good for stopping for certain items on your list, but I wouldn't be able to do a full grocery trip here. read more

I was in the area so I picked up another box of cookie/ brownie mix that my dog managed to open and spread all over the floor. I was surprised at the Clearance today. A steam mop for $15 and pumpkin and Cinnamon roll scone cookies for 25 cents. There were also croutons for a quarter on clearance. I didn't need any so left them for others. They have fresh turkeys and smoked turkeys here too. I used a box due to not putting a quarter deposit for a cart I didn't need. Today it was busy and glad I didn't get a cart. Aldi is hit or miss for great deals. The locations are so spread apart from each other. The cashier was nice. read more

I literally drive from St. Paul to Burnsville every two weeks to grocery shop at the BEST Aldi in the cities. I used to go to the Midway Aldi, and suffer through the cramped store, long lines, and horrific parking situation, because I thought it was the only Aldi I could get to regularly. I happened upon this location in Burnsville totally by chance, and fell in love. Literally all the parking you could ever need, huge spacious aisles in the store, the best produce selection I've seen at ANY grocery store, and next to no lines. This is my grocery shopping heaven. As with all Aldi stores, the food is great and is an incredible value-- I would easily be spending 50% more (or someone even double) if I were doing my shopping at Cub, Hyvee, or Target. The best part of this store is definitely the produce. They have basically every commonplace veggie, and are getting more and more popular, health-conscious ones (kale, chard, frozen acai, etc). Aldi has a great line of organic foods, and is expanding to more and more organic produce as well. They do have some room to grow- I'd like to see more niche health foods like coconut flour, almond flour, flaxseed, etc. I would say I buy 90% of my groceries here, and maybe 10% at various other stores to get niche items not carried at Aldi. Not bad for a discount grocery store! Basically-- go to this Aldi. You will not be disappointed. read more

I shop here all the time for the solid prices without coupons and the easy and small layout. But really, there a number of things that bother me about this place. The cashiers can be rude half the time and my groceries appear to get more air miles than I do. Prices can be mislabeled and corrections are made into a spectacle. Yeah yeah!!!! I love this store. I use to drive the 22 miles here twice a month to load up on the savings until Aldi opened a store in EP. This store has a fantastic layout and offers a great selection. I've always been impressed that the staff here seems to be the same staff for the past couple of years. Not much turnover which make it a great store. The cashiers are incredibly fast which makes checking out with a cart full easy and quick. Don't forget to bring a quarter for the cart. You get it back when you return the cart to the cart corral though. Tons of parking as well. Parking is never an issue. The store is located by the dollar tree and is tucked back. Overall just a good store offering lots of discounts. read more

My mom always comes here to shop. It was good. She comes for onions and other stuff. A few times, we buy ice cream. My dad bought it once. So it is familiar and the cashiers are nice to us. (Probably because we are kids.) A few times, we go to the restroom before we leave. If it was a scale from 1 to 50,001, I'd say like 50,000. It's good. Almost perfect. I really like the Aldi at this location! Fruit is always priced really well here. Store is very clean. Cashiers are awesome and fast so it is a less painful wait with small children to check out. My card ended up not making it back into my hands from the bank drive up. Luckily the cashier said he's wait for me to return. I was so bummed and embarrassed. I really expected all my groceries to be taken back to the shelves and to my suprise- they were still there waiting for me. read more

SO BAD! The service was absolute garbage at this Aldis. Our cashier was waiting to go on her break so she kept playing with her food while ringing us up and didn't say a word to us. She threw everything into a cart super aggressively and acted overall very unamused. I understand having a bad day when it comes to customer service, but come on. The prices are cheaper, but you can get the same price at the if you shop the competitions' specials (4 competitive grocery stores within a mile) I would recommend the almond butter, brownie mix, and basic staples. I wouldn't recommend purchasing some things, such as meat. If you purchase produce, you will need to consume it in 2-3 days (but it fresher, since it is more local than other stores.) About half the time, the cashiers are rude. read more

Extremely poor staff and management. They are happy to host disrespectful abusive customers refusing to remove them from their store when asked to. My previous review was 5 stars and it was a beautiful store until tonight when I was horrendously verbally abused by another customer and after a cashier ignored it i demanded a manager or the police. When the manager came out i was treated like the problem. I was told i needed to be seperated from the customer who was verbally abusing me she refused to remove him from the store or call the police. She stated she couldn't control what others said. And that is true but she can control removing rude verbally abusive customers from the premises of her store. The customer was cursing at me due to his displeasure with a long line and i believe thought i was an employee and the fact that he felt i was very over weight in his terms "1 ton" and i had a large cart of food and was getting a large amount of reduced priced bread for my food shelf located near the check outs. Even when i told him i wasnt and employee and to take his negativity elsewhere and explained i was shopping for a food shelf doing a kind act my civic duty he continued to verbally assault me. And as i stated above thats how the management choose to handle it. They told me they dont like calling the police and appatently they refuse to remove abusive customers from their store. In fact they cater to them at this location. Id recommend never going there. Yes they cant control what he said but they can control how they dealt with it, which was disgusting. Ive never been so appalled in my life. Ive worked custome service for 15 years and this is some of the poorest ive ever seen. How dare they not remove this man from their store immediately and tell him this is not tolerated here. I had even informed the management i was shopping for a food shelf and this changed nothing.
