I'm a big fan of Aldi's because of the price, but this store leaves a lot to be desired. They crammed it into too small of a space. Consequently, the store is tiny. You feel like you're shopping in a sardine can. Also, the parking situation here is the worst. During the various times I've been to this store, it's been nearly impossible to find parking, and the lot is so small it's an accident waiting to happen. Yes, you can get good prices on groceries here, but I'd recommend visiting another location where the parking is more plentiful and there's more room in the store.

Purchasing canned goods, some meats, cheeses, fresh fruit and flavored ground coffee, it can't be beat.

Lots of meat vendors, the pork chops we got were amazing. Also, many local honey vendors, flowers, as well as bread items. I cannot get over the bakery items. I was able to get a great sourdough round and some baguettes for dinner. My daughter loves these spicy cheddar rolls from one of the vendors (keep a look out for them). You cannot go wrong. It is in a central spot that makes this easy to get to, free parking and it is open fairly year round. As a tidbit, it is right next to my favorite coffee shop that makes a great Vietnamese coffee!!! PROS Free parking Lots of vendors, almost year round Great location Great people CONS Nothing, just go and enjoy the stroll

I have been to that one across the river, all I can say is they don't grow bananas in Minnesota. I have been visiting this place for decades, and I really love the way it is evolved well staying true to its roots. You need to have products that have been grown or made within a certain radius of Saint Paul. When I first started visiting, it was mainly growers, but as a farmers markets have expanded in the Twin Cities, some farmers have gone elsewhere. That means we are seeing more vendors of other types of food. People who forge mushrooms, people who make their own cheese. Bee keepers. The world's best pierogies. Tibetan dumplings. So many delights. It is bustling every Saturday and Sunday. It should be a weekly stop for everyone.

A Hidden Gem in St. Paul--Vibrant, Welcoming, and Delicious!…read more We absolutely loved our visit to the Hmong Marketplace in St. Paul! It's one of those places that immediately makes you feel welcome and leaves you wondering why you hadn't come sooner. Easy to Navigate & Plenty of Parking: There's ample parking and the layout is intuitive--some produce vendors are located outside, while the inside is filled with everything from clothing and shoes to toys, household goods, and an incredible variety of food vendors. Truly the Friendliest Vendors We've Met: Every single vendor we interacted with was so kind and welcoming. My son even exclaimed, "I cannot believe how nice the people are here!" One vendor even opened a package of fruit so he could taste it before buying. The genuine hospitality made the experience unforgettable. No Cash? No Problem: Most vendors accept tap-to-pay and debit/credit cards, so there's no need to hunt for an ATM or carry cash--huge plus. COME HUNGRY. SERIOUSLY. The food court is a sensory dream. The aromas alone will have you salivating. Everything looked authentic and freshly made--we could've spent the whole day just eating our way through. We also picked up produce we can never find in our local grocery stores, and the prices were incredibly reasonable for the quantity and quality. A Beautiful Cultural Hub: It's more than just a market--it's a vibrant community space. It was heartwarming to see the Hmong refugee community gathered in a place where they can support one another, share their culture, and offer goods from their homeland. There's a real sense of pride and resilience here, and it's something you feel the moment you walk in. If you're in St. Paul and want an experience that's rich in culture, flavor, and human connection, make the Hmong Marketplace a top priority. You'll leave full--in both belly and spirit.

Found ourselves ordering from different stalls and found out each one offers different type of purple rice! Tables here are better than the village. This place is also bigger and lots of tables to sit. It's indoor so a lot cooler during summer. Shop around though since each stalls offers almost the same things but different pricing.

They seemed like the go-to place and I have not been disappointed! It was so easy to order chicks and supplies and everyone has been SO friendly. My girls are about 6 weeks now but when they were a few weeks old I reached out to EggPlant in a panic because I thought one was going to be a rooster. Jessika took the time to talk me down and listen to what I was seeing - she eased my mind but also let me know what they could do if one did turn out to be a male (which you can't have in the city). All in all, I think my little Lottie just matured faster than her hatch-mates but I am glad to know I can contact EggPlant for whatever I need for them going forward. They were really hands-off once you picked up your chicks but very responsive if you need help with them.
