I needed a place to wash some comforters before my in-laws visited. The space was clean and spacious. I was able to wash 4 comforters for about 10 dollars and was in and out in an hour. Free wi-fi, friendly staff and everything you need. There are not many clean and SAFE laundry mats in Seattle so this will be my go-to from now on! read more

This place rocks! It is superclean, the washers smell good, and the staff is friendly. They were super accommodating of all my big loads of laundry. People in the building are also friendly in my experience. I totally recommend this place and travel to it from the Eastside if that tells you how good it is.there's plenty of folding space and they are open late which rocks.this place is a gem! read more

We had to wash our comforters and mattress pads and needed a large large washer to do so. Lunar Laundry came to the rescue. Lunar Laundry is super clean, well-maintained machines, and there is free wifi, some kids and board games (we played Connect Four), and up-to-date magazines. There is also a coin machine and laundry supplies (for purchase) on premises. It cost us $5-6 for the large and extra large washers per load and a little over $1 to dry per load. Totally worth it!! The location is also convenient to do mini errands nearby--such as grocery shopping at the Town & Country Ballard market! read more

I dont even live in this neighborhood, but I go out of my way to go to this laundry mat. The staff is super nice. Local owner, who is often found at the laundry to greet you or answer questions. Ive been using their drop off service, as well as the do it yourself use. Its not as cheap as the last laundromat I was going to, but I like that you can pay them to do the transfer, or the drop off service. Great local business! read more

Our go-to for doing big items our home washer/dryer can't handle -- comforters, etc. Always clean, machines are well-maintained, comfortable place to wait, helpful folks, great neighborhood, and a few parking spots. Not a lot more you can say about a coin laundry, so they are five stars in our book! read more

The washing machines and dryers were very clean and didn't smell. They were very easy to use. Also had available parking, coin dispenser, and ample baskets to transport clothing. It was a quick in and out experience. That's the best way to get laundry done; 'quickly.' read more

I love coming to this laundromat! It's clean, has nice dryers and washers that actually work, it's fairly priced, change machines, and to boot they have free wifi, a drop off service offer, and great staff! Only thing I hate is the limited amount of outlets... Boo! Other than that, wonderful laundry doing experience! Haha read more

Lunar laundry is a great place to do laundry. It's always clean and machines are open. Mornings are the best time to go I have found and you get $1 off. Sometimes you even get a free load of wash, the machines are programmed to give free ones every now and then. The staff is nice and attentive. Also they have parking behind the building which is a plus! read more

The place is clean, well stocked, and the on-site staff is friendly. The machines we've used have all been in perfect order. The only thing that is a little dated is the coin operated payment system itself; other places have neat credit card controlled systems that can do text notifications when machines are done. But that is a very small quibble, and we are happy customers. read more

Clean, washers and dryers in good condition, friendly owner who is there a great deal-I always see her helping people figure out which size washer to use, low on weird folk, it's a 5 star!! read more

Spotlessly clean, helpful staff, I'm going to miss this place when the washer is fixed...

I was so grateful to find Lunar Laundry when our washer broke. There was free parking in back, and the neighborhood felt safe and comfortable. I went very early on a Saturday, and there weren't many people; I was able to find a couple of triple loaders without trouble. Things were starting to pick up by the time my clothes were washed, but everyone was friendly and chatting while waiting for washers to open up. I hope our washer never breaks again, but if it does, I'll be back to Lunar! read more

My very expensive, 6 year old washing machine broke down so I went here. Very clean!!!! Nice washers - I didn't need the driers. I will come back to wash blankets. Also the owner was there and she was very nice. read more

I love this place!!! I travel from south Seattle to do my laundry here. It is so clean!! And very cheap! And the staff will help you with anything you need. They have a lot of different sized washing machines too so you could do all your bedding or half a load. read more

Plenty of machines even though it's busy. Lots of places to plug in your charger for laptop or phone.

Cleanest laundromat I've ever been to and it has the most reasonable prices in Seattle by far. I will definitely be a regular.

I LOVE Lunar Laundry! I drive from Maple Leaf to come here, not that far, but I come here because its clean and the customer service is GREAT! They have Wifi, board games for kids, snacks, bottled water, magazines, seating inside/out. Parking in front and back. Avoid peak times. During the week is best! read more

Not shady, Clean, nice people not terribly expensive what more do you need for a laundromat? Oh and parking!

I've been using this laundromat for two years now. It is somewhat pricey, but you get what you pay for! The place is always very clean, the staff are nice and there is free WiFi. The neighborhood also has restaurants and a coffee shop to hang out in while your clothes wash. read more

Lunar Laundry is amazing! I was so sad when I moved out of my previous apartment, which had a washer and dryer in the unit, to my current apartment which doesn't. I was dreading having to go to a laundromat every week or so, until a friend told me about Lunar Laundry and their wash & fold service. Now I think I like taking my laundry there even better than doing it at home! They have a super efficient system where once you have a tag with your preferences (bleach/no bleach, etc.), you can just drop off your bag of laundry and it takes about five seconds. I usually drop it off on my way to work, then they text me to let me know it's ready and I pick it up on my way home -- clean and folded perfectly. Everyone I've met who works there is really friendly and helpful. read more

This laundromat is so great, it got me to write my very first Yelp review. I love this place. Is that dramatic? I love this place. Clean, friendly, and I've never even had to wait on a machine. The ONLY drawback - not enough plugs for laptops, etc. But that doesn't even bring it down a star. That's how much I like this place. I may even name my first kid after it. Lunar Laundry Fletcher. Aw! read more

I always head here when in port from fishing. The laundry prices are decent, it's never too packed and the free wifi rocks. Plus the staff is always courteous, not something that's easy to find in the laundry business. read more

This is a great place, new machines. But what is great is that they keep everything clean, wiped down during day and the bathroom is clean! I travel fulltime, in fact I have been on the road almost 6 years now. Due to this I see a lot of Laundromats and am able to compare them. This is one of the 2 cleanest Laundromats I have been to. (The other one on Montana Ave in El Paso, TX) The staff is great and friendly and the pricing appears to be comparable to the Seattle area. Parking can be tight, so try to be there during periods that might be less busy. read more

I am an out of state road tripper and I found this laundromat on Yelp. The attendant was very helpful and explained the various costs and helped me to select the most time and cost effective options for my needs as I am passing through. Plenty of places to relax, places to have coffee nearby, Goodwill is across the street (shopping!!). Friendly atmosphere and the facilities are well maintained and clean. read more

Friendly staff, free wifi, has an atm. Pleasant place to wait for your laundry to be done.

A broken washer sent me fleeing to Lunar Laundry with several construction bags full of sopping wet clothes. Plenty of machines, plenty of parking, sparkling clean (including the restroom) and a very friendly staff on site. The WiFi is great as well, although too slow for video ( less than 2mbps when I was there). read more

Who knew you could wash three king size goose down comforters in a laundromat and actually enjoy it?!?!?!? We were happily surprised at the recently remodeled Lunar Laundry to find brand new super sized washers and dryers, helpful and friendly staff all in an amazingly clean laundromat. Goose down pillows next.... read more

Such a great place. Nice, helpful staff and dependable machines. A drier didn't work once, and they made it right immediately. Nice seating options for the wait, and the juice bar a couple doors west on the corner is a nice place to kill 40 minutes and have a nice carrot-apple-orange-mint juice. Mmmmm. The juice bar is under the same roof as a medical pot dispensary, but they seem to be run completely separately. read more

I have been a regualr for many years at this location as well as other Laundry Mats. Will keep coming back! See me on Friday Nights! I usually have no problems with My family loads - getting them washed and dry, though sometimes if i get too distracted I might have to fold at home. They do have a time frame when they are closed and machines *washers only* shut down. There is signage stating this fact and the attendants are always nice to observed and informed if anyone looks like that might have a 'time crunch issue". With the Super Washers and extra large Dryers, usually I do get out of there in time. Folding tables are clean and most time am able to find a parking spot close enough. (fyi: a few bars/goodwill/Deli close by to grab a snack or drink. For those 420's - Corner Shopping also.) read more

I don't need to use a laundry mat very often, just the random comforter, rug or sleeping bag cleaning. Because of this, laundry mats can be a bit intimidating and I don't often know what I'm doing (how big of a washer do I need, how much detergent, etc.). The people who run Lunar Laundry definitely know what they're doing. They are SO helpful, will approach you if you look like you're a bit lost, and are very upfront about what the best deal for you would be. I know it may sound odd to say 'I love this laundry mat' but I really do and will come all the way into Ballard every time I need one. Great people, clean, free WiFi and very accommodating! read more

Little bit pricy but super good machines and coin system is avl on site, which is helpful. Internet works great and nice location to get out for a drink whilst waiting read more

Our washing machine died on us necessitating a trip to the laundromat (for the first time in 26 years!). We went to Lunar Laundry tonight, and found it to be a very nice plalce to do your wash. It was very clean, well-lit, and has several park-like benches to sit on while you wait. They have front loading machines that can hold a lot of clothes, so we only needed two. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and we would use this place again if need be. read more

I love this laundry, not only because you get 3 different choices on the size and cost of machine, but the white machines have the option enabled to add an extra rinse and add extra spin time (yes for more money). Most of the laundry mats I've used (all over the country since I travel a lot) the dryers take FOREVER. NOT SO at this place, they are vented correctly and work great. I can normally get away with only $1.00 or $.75 if a small load in the dryers and clothes are fully dry. I do want to say to the previous reviewer who gave a 1 star, you HAVE to read the label on each piece of clothing BEFORE washing and drying, because fleece is made from polyester and is not supposed to be put in a warm dryer. If you had real fleece that was even more outlandish because that is wool with a leather backing and should never be gotten wet and then exposed to heat! It will shrink. Remember READ GARMENT LABELS before washing and drying! The only problem is that there is no sink or toilet. So if you spill bleach or liquid detergent on your skin or clothes there is no way to rinse it off. I also made the mistake of running errands once before washing clothes, What is it anyways about the sound of running water that makes you want to pee? read more

Hands down best place to do your laundry! I live near Pioneer Square, downtown Seattle. When I was unexpectedly in the need to find a place to get my laundry done because my washing machine broke and I had let my laundry pile up and an out of town guest was arriving the next day. I opened yelp on my phone to help me find a place to get the job done. There were several places closer to me then Luner but none that had as many positive reviews. I didn't want to leave anything to chance so I drove all the way to Ballard past all the others that were much closer to me and boy am I glad I did. Not only is the place super clean, they had every size of machine I needed, lots of room to fold, plenty of parking, 4 change machines and the best part was the owner and the employees that are ready to help anyway they can. I can't believe I'm taking time to write about a place I cleaned my clothes. But if u are reading this and trying to decide where you should go, I'm not kidding when I say look no further, you just found the best place in town. If you have to drive past 10 other ones that are closer I promise you! You will not regret it! read more

Cleanest, friendliest, most comfortable laundromat I've ever been in. They have industrial washers and dryers which is a huge plus. I have a ton of laundry to do all at the same time after moving back across the country, and I believe you can do 55lbs+ for 7.50 for the wash, maybe 4/5.00 for a complete dry (on the settings I use). The other customers seem to be either very, very friendly or very reserved - either way is fine with me - and the clientele seems to depend on time of day and day of week, but I've only been here three times so far, so I can't say for sure. No sketchy vibes though, which seems to be a pretty normal thing for most other laundromats. Staff is great and there seems to be quite the array of regulars. All in all, I'm completely sold on Lunar. There are plenty of laundromats which are closer to me in distance, but this beats them all by a long shot. In fact, my apartment building downtown has its own laundry room (four HE washers, 8 dryers) but frankly, it costs me far less to do my laundry at Lunar. Even after I finish washing everything from the move, I can definitely see myself becoming a regular here as well! read more

Clean and in a location where I feel comfortable leaving my clothes in the dryer for a couple of hours while running errands.

I was very impressed with this Laundromat. The environment was clean and quiet and the machines appeared to be very well maintained. It was my best experience at a laundromat by far. read more

Hands down the best laundry spot. It is blocks away from my house and the machines work great. There's a variety of sizes for loads and the time it takes to wash and dry is super quick. Although it's a bit pricey the service and quality is amazing there's free wifi and free parking! read more

As laundromats go, Lunar is pretty nice. Always very clean and the machines are well maintained. Different sizes of washers (starting at $2.75/load) which is convenient, and the dryers (.25 for 6 minutes) easily get a full load dry in 30 minutes or less. If you've gotta make the trek somewhere, it's the nicest I've seen in the area. There is free parking but there are only about 6 spots, it's hit or miss to get an open one, but there are free 2 hour spots along 65th too. read more

I went here after my washing machine went out of commission for a few days. I arrived at 6:00 AM and was the only person present. I found the place clean and the machines were ample and well-maintained. The wash cycle took 30 minutes for light soil and warm water, and it took 30 minutes to dry my clothes. The washing machines are pay per load/cycle while the dryers are pay by minute at 25 cents per 6 minutes ($1.25 for 30 minutes). I brought my computer and worked until my laundry was finished. I gave them one less star because I could not access the wifi. I did not have the password and there were no staff there to provide me with the password. There was allegedly a way to get it if you have Cisco Connect, but when I tried to use Cisco Connect to retrieve the password, a message popped up that said Cisco Connect was not compatible with Lunar Laundry's router. Either way, I didn't really need the internet for what I was doing, so it was okay. I just thought I would mention that little glitch for others who may be relying on wifi being available. read more
