Pretty straight forward place, except for the clientele who were on the other side and plentiful. Ordered Joe Pepperoni and the Supreme. Both were excellent. Pepperoni was the small discs, the best kind. Supreme was very good but lack cheese for our liking. In and out in about an hour. Interior was busy to the eye, and not much to look at. People watching and listening to the surrounding tables was the entertainment. Highly recommend without any reservations. Food value was good, and wood fired pizzas were superb.

The sandwich was honestly the highlight of the meal. It was delicious, and the pizza dough as the bread was such a unique touch that you really don't find at many Italian sandwich spots around Columbus. The pizza itself was just okay. As you can see from the picture, the toppings weren't distributed very evenly, so some slices had mostly sauce with barely any cheese while others had way more toppings and cheese but less sauce. I also wish the pizza had been cooked a little longer overall because it was pretty floppy and doughy. One thing that makes it tough is that once the movie starts, it's hard to go back and ask for changes or anything since the theater is packed and getting in and out of the seats feels disruptive. We'll definitely be back to Grandview Theater because we love the experience overall, but next time I'll probably stick to the sandwiches and popcorn and skip the pizza.

You ever walk into a place and think, there's no way something special is hiding in here?…read more Yeah....That was me. An old tavern in Columbus. Dim. Historic. The kind of spot where you expect a solid beer and maybe some decent bar food. What you don't expect? One of the best Detroit-style pizzas of your life hiding behind a window in the back like some carb-based speakeasy. And when I say hidden, I mean hidden. No flashy signage. No "best pizza in town" ego. Just a quiet little window cranking out square pies that deserve a standing ovation. I ordered the classic red top -- already a bold move -- and added pesto because balance matters and I like to live a little. The result? Beyond reproach. Fresh, loaded toppings. Sauce with depth. And that crust... that beautiful Detroit crust. Crispy edges with that caramelized cheese halo, but still chewy and pillowy inside. The textural contrast is what separates amateurs from legends -- and this? This was legend-level execution. Easily top 3 Detroit-style pizzas I've had. And that's not a casual statement. If you don't understand the life-altering power of true Detroit-style pizza, I regret to inform you... you have not been living. Go find the window in the back. Trust me.

They have an open kitchen concept and staff were super friendly. However, we waited quite a long time for our food. I got a small Hawaiian pizza and it took well over 25 minutes for it to be done, especially when there were no other patrons in the restaurant. After getting the pizza the staff were so nice to also give us some ice water. I think I'd give the pizza itself a 3/5 mostly because it was very salty and greasy. However, I did enjoy that there were lots of pineapples on the pizza along with the crispy crust. Having the pizza the next day cold was also okay. Would be interested to know how their other food items are as their menu was pretty big. Staff overall was super nice and friendly. Could use less salt on their pizzas in my opinion though.

Pizza isn't something you come across elsewhere outside of Columbus or maybe outside of Ohio but it's interesting. We started with the Parmesan breadsticks and got both the garlic butter and pizza sauce for dipping. I took one bite with the pizza sauce and immediately thought, "Yep. THAT'S IT." Something about their red sauce just does not work for me. It's incredibly thick -- almost like drywall mud -- and while it definitely has flavor, it's just not a flavor my taste buds enjoy. HOWEVER...the breadsticks with the garlic butter?! Some of the best I've had. Seriously delicious. So this time I decided to avoid the red sauce altogether and ordered the chicken pesto pizza. And THAT was the move! It was fantastic. The crust was perfect, the toppings were delicious and plentiful, and the pesto worked so much better for me. My daughter devoured her BBQ chicken pizza, my sister thoroughly enjoyed her six cheese, and those breadsticks were so good that I ordered another batch to take home.
