All I can say is wow wow wow! Out with friends for karaoke went to a bar that didn't serve food however Angie's is next door I asked them if it was possible for me to order the pizza and take it over to the lounge and when they said yes it was on!!! I ordered a medium pizza it was hot ready and crunchy and there's a window to the opposite side of the lounge where you pick up your order and have a seat and eat. 10 out of 10 will come back again and just found out that there's a Whitehall location that I can try near where I live. The best part about the pizza in my opinion was the right amount of sauce. Red sauce can be overpowering and on this pizza it was not. The pepperonis were nice and oily in the middle like little oil puddles of goodness and the crunch on the crust . Lady working was sweet and the pizza done on time, but I just could not eat it! Small pepperoni baked to perfection, but that cheese they use is stinky and tastes horrible!! This small strip-mall location has been a pizza joint for the past 30 years. The latest iteration is Ange's. Based on the reviews, we gave it a try, and we really liked their pizza and stromboli. Personally, I like a specific style of pizza - thin crust, somewhat acidic and not sweet pizza sauce, crispy and slightly salty pepperoni. Ange's delivers. I'd put them on my short list of really good pizza shops in NW Columbus - Rotolo's on Fifth Avenue, Tommy's on Lane Avenue, Panzera's on Riverside. Ange's can hang with this lofty group. Tried Anges Pizza on Godown rd tonight. For my tastes-it's actually pretty good. Ordered two small pies (angies combo and the other with pep, onions, pineapple, and green olives). I'd definitely ask for well done bake on any future orders. These were regular baked and we found the dough too floppy and kinda undercooked but we put our slices in the air fryer and that helped alot. Still had to eat with a fork though as they were not able to be lifted without falling apart. Overall, I can see us ordering from here again since the taste was good, staff friendly, and location literally less than 5 minutes from us. read more

Don't judge a book by its cover. This hidden pizza gem is definitely worth a shot. The thin crust pizza was cooked perfectly and they did not skimp on toppings. So if you dont know theres a Facebook page called Columbus Pizza Connoisseurs.I first joined a few weeks ago after seeing and article about the best pizza in town in the Columbus Navigator. Before joining I'll admit I wasnt the biggest pizza fan. Of course I like pizza, it's just not my every day go to. None the less, these people definitely know the pizza here in the bus and the pics will have you drooling. Likewise, when I saw Anges Pizza listed, over and over, people spoke of Anges, but I had no clue what it was. I spend a lot of time in Clintonville and definitely noticed a big Anges Pizza sign over the old Panera Bread space. Even though I drive past daily, never stopped, because I'm rarely craving Za. So with the Corona taking over the world and everyone going insane, I decided why not support a local business and give it a try. I ended up at this Godown Rd location instead because it has higher Yelp Reviews. The Pizza Connoisseurs have definitely mentioned certain locations are better than others. I think this one is great. I walked in an was greeted immediately. I picked up the menu to look at it and was told to let them know when I was ready to order. It didn't take long to decide, I like a good pepperoni and bacon pizza with banana peppers, so that's what I got. I went with the 10 inch to cover lunch and dinner. It was perfect.... Once thing to mention is theres no seating here. It's just like a dominoes or papa John's, you order your pizza and leave. So that's what I did. As I sat in my car, I forgot to set a timer, but that was fine, because the guy brought my pizza to the car. It was snowing and cold, so that was very sweet of him. Now, the pizza. I mean the picture is worth a 1000 words. It was incredible. The crust was perfect. Not too thick but not too thin. It was covered in toppings. There wasnt an inch missing pepperoni or cheese. The Cheese was most impressive. I always find places that skimp on cheese. They'll cover it in toppings but there's very little cheese, well Anges does not. There was cheese and plenty of it. Absolutely no need to order extra cheese, unless you really want to, because who doesnt like extra cheese? Overall, this place was outstanding. I cant believe I had never heard of it. ***Updated review. I'm sorry to say that on Sunday 10/18/2020, my kids were taking a birthday dinner to their dad, who is ill. They pulled up to Ange's parking lot and saw the two workers inside with no masks. One had long hair that was not pulled back as well. There were three other people in the lobby waiting for their orders, all masked. My kids left without picking up the food and I called to ask what was going on. At first I was told they were masked, I explained that my kids were sitting in the parking lot looking at them. He offered to remake the food or refund. We chose refund and unfortunately, we have to cross this restaurant off our list, which is a shame. We really loved the food and the original customer service. My daughter did say that neither of the people working were the original man who was so helpful in our previous visits. So as Covid2020 has continued to rage on, we have continued to order from Ange's Pizza on Godown Rd. and it is consistently terrific...the menu is so extensive that everyone in our household of 4 can find something they want. The strombolis are amazing, the wings are wonderful and the pizza is perfect. One thing I really, really love about this restaurant is the EASE of ORDERING on line... as you add/remove ingredients, you can watch the price change accordingly. It has options for well-done pizzas and subs, which is a Thing in our house. Also, speaking specifically to this location; the first time we ordered we had way more food than one person could carry so the guy working helped me to the car and this last time I meant to order extra sauce with the lasagna but accidentally checked the box for 'none' and they actually called me to check if I meant to do that! I can't believe that I'm giving a 5 star review for a place that screwed up my order. But I am. Let me explain. I placed an online order for an XL pizza. Lots of various toppings on it. Got there 30 minutes later to pick it up, as instructed. The owner was working and informed me that he mistakenly gave our pizza to another customer picking up an order. He offered to make us another one but it would be another 30 minute wait. So I politely declined and asked that my cc be refunded. He tried to call the other customer but they didn't answer. He apologized multiple times while processing the refund. He then gave us an XL pepperoni pizza and added a $25 credit to our account. So I'm going to end up with two free XL pizzas due to the mishap! And lastly, the pepperoni pizza was excellent. So much pepperoni on it. Really nice for a business to acknowledge a mistake and make it right. Long-term thinking. We'll definitely be back. Especially to use our $25 credit! read more

Had a hard time figuring out where the restaurant was due to there currently being no sign for it, but it was very good! My girlfriend and I split a large pineapple and ham and they piled on the pineapple​ and each slice had at least one big chunk of ham. It was very filling without the feeling of eating unhealthy. I had never had Ange's pizza before although there are several in Columbus. This is for the new branch which just opened on Godown Rd on the northwest side. My family and I saw in ad in the local money saver booklet. We were craving pizza and wanted something different so we decided to give it a try. According to their website they have been making pizzas in the area since 1953. "The Angeletti family started offering delicious pizza to the Whitehall community back in the 50's and is still owned and managed by the Angeletti's!" What could be better than a long time local pizza place run by an Italian family that has been around for 60 years. How could we not want to try it? We ordered the Ange's Combo (Pepperoni, Mushroom, Onion, Green Pepper & Sausage) and a Chef Salad (Lettuce, Ham, Salami, Tomato, Onion, Black Olives, Banana Peppers, Pizza Cheese, Pepperoni & Crackers). The pizza was very good. It had a medium crust (not too thick, not too thin) and lots of toppings. I mean really generous with the toppings. The Italian sausage was really good as was the pepperoni. The onions and peppers were a touch crunchy which some people like and some people don't, but it worked for us. The sauce and the cheese may have gotten a little lost in the toppings, but both had good flavor. I think the next time I order, I will get just one or two toppings so I can focus on the cheese and sauce a little better. Their chef salad was more of an Italian Chef Salad. It was plain chopped lettuce topped with chopped onions, tomatoes, black olives, and banana peppers. There was pepperoni slices and chopped salami and ham. Then it was covered in pizza cheese. It came with Captain's Wafers. We got it with their House Italian dressing. The salad reminded me of something I might have had in the 70s. (must have been the Captain's Wafers.) It was nostalgic and adequate. Nothing fancy. The dressing was old fashioned as well. Very simple. No seasonings with it. We added our own and it was fine. I also want to add that that we were really happy with the customer service. The person who took our order over the phone was polite and answered our questions. Not the Ange's pizza I grew up eating. I've been eating at this location since they opened. It was my favorite within the area. I live between this location and the location on Hilliard Rome Rd. I stopped eating at the Hilliard location years ago and will now stop eating at this location. The pizza just isn't the same. The last two times I have ordered the pizza has been a lot thinner than normal and not very crispy. When picking up the pizza it felt like I was picking up an empty box. When picking up a piece of pizza it just flopped over. I will drive a little further and go to Tommy's or go to the Massey's that recently opened in Hilliard. read more

I'm not sure the people leaving all the rave reviews have actually tasted good pizza before. The crust here is thin and dry and is very similar to overcooked frozen pizza. It appears that it is made in advance and cooked in a pan, and possibly cooked in a conveyor oven. The cheese is rubbery. Do yourself a favor and drive 2 minutes and go to Iacano's on Kenny Road. Horrible customer service PSA DON'T EVER ORDER FROM ANGE'S PIZZA ESPECIALLY THE ONE ON GODOWN!!! I just had a manager scream at me on the phone when I called to check on our order that was an hour and half after ordering. They had not even made our order yet because their driver was late. Now I completely understand being short staffed and what not but I should have been told on the phone no delivery service at this time. He literally was screaming when I simply stated it was ridiculous that I was not told this on the phone. He hung up on me twice. He claims he is the manager and his name is Matt. I will be calling to find the owners tomorrow which I believe are at the Powell location usually! I am so mad!!!! I will never order from them again! read more

I would give this pizza 1-2 stars. Ive gone a couple times and just not a fan. Sauce has no flavor, crust is soggy and not crisp, pepperoni is nothing special, but sausage is decent. The pizza is good, but their subs have no taste, and I waited a half hour just for them to make 3 subs. Way too long. If you're looking for subs, go to subway instead.
