I wish I can give this place a 0 star. Drove about two hours to get my Luna banana fixed as my chain ring bolts fell out and was recommended by someone at Luna cycle to come in when I called. When I went in, the tall white guy at the counter (believe his name was Kyle) straight up ignored me for 5 minutes and then finally asked what I wanted. I asked for help to bring the bike out and was flat out ignored and only got help from the worker in the back after he saw me struggling to pull the bike out myself. After Kyle saw what I needed he told me that my chain ring was old and kept saying how old my bike was and how he didn't have parts for it and even if he did, it will take him around 3-5 weeks cause he will only do it if he had the time (he basically told me to fk off cause the fix was too cheap). Feeling devastated I planned to just give them the bike and wait it out until another worker felt bad for me and told me that all the bolts for chain rings were basically the same and that I can just go to another bike shop and get it fixed for a fraction. I listened to his advice and got it fixed at a local bike shop for only $50. While I was there, another gentleman was also receiving terrible service from Kyle. It seems that Kyle charged him $450 for servicing the gentleman's battery and was trash talking the guy and another bike shop saying how dumb that guy was for going to a different bike shop to get the battery fixed and how crappy of a work the other bike shop did. Well it turns out that it was Kyle that recommended the dude to go to that specific bike shop and once he got called out, he tried to deflect from being liable and kept saying that it wasn't his fault and not his problem. Please, if you ever think about getting any ebike, surron, etc. look for other bike shops or just buy it used. read more

I was in LA on vocation and plan to buy Sur Ron x bee bike and also one of the electric scooter on the spot. But I want to test ride first.Was there at 11:15am ,ring the bell - wait for 5 min,no one open the door ,then 1 guy came out just walk pass me without asking anything ,then 2nd came out- He didn't seem interested or care but I ask about the place he said it was open and wait for front desk guy to come out. Wait another 5 mins,nothing . I ordered a Bafang BBSHD mid drive ebike kit and received it on Friday. I noticed later that it was missing the frame mount for the battery and got the wrong size bottom bracket mid drive! I wanted a 68mm and somehow the thing changed and I got a 100mm. Not happy at all. My bike is currently sitting at the bike shop as they can't properly install the kit. I only ask if they could just send me the right mid drive which is a 68mm and a battery mount and I'll gladly return the 100mm back to them. Amd please explain to me why I also received gummy bears and a small bag with at least 6 masks inside? read more

Great company, I love what they do for the the DIY people. But customer service is TERRIBLE. Not very friendly and sometimes they will give an incorrect answer for the sake of having an answer. Just make sure you know your stuff before reaching out to them. I believe that Eric, the owner, is a good dude but I've never met him or talked to him. It's his minions that I find the most frustrating to deal with. Other E-bike companies have it figured out, I wish Luna would come around because I dread having to deal with their customer service. If you're thinking about getting an eBike, get it from here! I got the Sur-ron X and love it. These guys were awesome from the minute I walked into the show room. Everyone was very friendly and knew what they were doing in all aspects, specifically Ramsey and Davis. My bike had an unfortunate factory defect in the front brake lever but I was able to bring my bike in the next day and pick it up 24hrs later with the entire break replaced at no cost! Not only do these guys know what their doing but their customer service is on point! Come to these guys for sure! read more

Regarding the Luna Apollo, I'm really excited about this bike. When it popped up as available late at night August 30th I stumbled out of bed and rushed to my laptop to order it. My order is in so waiting on being told the order is processed and ready for shipment. So far despite some of the negative reviews' I'm seeing about customer service, that has not been the case as far as my experience talking to Luna staff on the phone about my billing and shipping information. I've made three purchases with Lunacycle, each purchase has had an issue but this last one is enough for me to call it quits with this company. I used them for the last purchase because they were the only company that had the product I needed within a reasonable time. I'll buy the same product for cheaper direct from china in the future and probably still get better customer service. My last purchase arrived to my house broken, I emailed Lunacycle with pictures and after almost two weeks still no response. I left a negative review for the product on their webpage and a week later, guess what's not there. I have the feeling that they remove or never approve negative reviews for any of their products. The customer service here is horrible, I don't typically get too upset about these things because I understand companies are busy and things happen but come on. read more

The Sur-Ron X-Bike was exactly what I had been looking for to ride rugged trails in North Georgia and Tennessee. I watched a bunch of videos, did research, and asked Luna a bunch of questions before making the $3600 purchase. Specifically I asked if there were any bikes available without cheesy stripes or any upcoming "special editions," and where could I have work done on the bike if anything went wrong? I was told, "There will probably be a special edition in another 3 months or so." Turns out the black special edition with much better front fork and headset popped up on the Luna Cycle website less than one week after they took my money! They probably were just waiting until they cleared out the last run of standard X-bikes, and I was the lucky customer. As far as service, Tony at Luna said to take it to any mountain bike or motorcycle dealer, NO PROBLEM. It turns out that local motorcycle shops said they don't work on Chinese "stuff" since none of the parts are standard or compatible with the tools for Japanese and European bikes. Good local bike shops said they don't work on motorcycle parts. Having said that, there were many obviously loose spokes on the Sur-Ron wheels when it arrived, and the rear tube was pinched between the tire bead and the rim. I eventually found a motorcycle mechanic to fix these two issues for $112. In summary, Luna folks will tell you what it takes to make the sale, and you had better be a decent mountain bike and motorcycle mechanic to own a Sur-Ron! read more

I drove 40 min to go to their showroom which showed open on Google. When I arrived during listed business hours I found it to be closed. I called the 1-800 number and let them know that I had driven up to by a Sur Ron X with cash and was wondering if I could grab it. The sales person was extremely rude, told me that the showroom was closed and that they no longer accept cash. He told me to buy it online. I again explained that I had driven up to grab one today and asked if there was anyway to make an exception. He explained that if there were any issues with the purchase that they don't want to deal with someone in person and straight told me that they don't want my cash. They prefer to sort out issues through the credit card company and it's not worth the hassle to potentially have to deal with me coming back in person. He then said that I could try back in a couple weeks when their showroom was open again and maybe they would take cash again. Huh?? Insane. Seriously. Needless to say, I didn't buy the bike online and would rather pony up for a KTM at this point than give money to a business that operates like this. Unfortunately they are the importer so I can't take my business elsewhere unless it's with a different manufacturer. Perhaps that's why I got all the attitude? read more

Please be aware that if you are ordering items from the LunaCycle website you may be disappointed to find out that after your order has been submitted and payment accepted LunaCycle may cancel your order with a simple response of " Unfortunately we oversold on the motors the website had more inventory than we had motors available." No offer to try to accommodate your needs just a sorry this happened. I would suggest that you specifically inquire about their inventory and availability before making plans (in my case) to disassemble you bike in preparation for the parts. read more

Thankfully, they were open and Ramsey and Davis gave me some tips on the bike and on how to put the thing together. Full disclosure, I've NEVER ridden a motorcycle or dirt bike ever and my first interaction with Luna Cycle was disappointing. I arrived at their location with the intent of at least finding out if I would fit on a Sur ron before I made that investment. I got to their "corporate" location not knowing that they had a second pick up/ show room location. As I got to the door, it was locked and had a sign stating that pickups were at the other location. I called customer service and was transferred to sales and spoke to a sales attendant. I expressed my concern of just wanting to see if I could fit on a Sur ron. He stated that I could not see a Sur ron and that was it. Mind you, I was sitting in their parking lot. So I went home. When I got home, I left a message explaining what had happened on the Luna Cycle IG page. They responded with shock and apologized for the situation. Still not completely discouraged, I reached out to the Luna Cycle IG page and asked about making an appointment to check out a Sur ron. They replied that it was not needed and that coming in that Friday from 11-5 would be good. So I went to Luna Cycle. When I arrived, one of the employees was helping an older retired couple with their pickup paperwork and their new Sur ron. My dear in the headlights look caught the attention of Ramses. I told him what had happened and his exhale told me all that I needed to hear about my experience wasn't the first that had happened. He then asked "Want to try one out?" I was stoked to hear that question but was concerned about not having any riding experience, and expressed that concern to Ramses. He nodded his head and grabbed a Sur ron and we walked it outside. He then gave me a crash course in how not to crash. He explained how torquie the Sur ron is, where the throttle is, and which handles were the the specific brakes. Then I rode it. And it was awesome! After a few laps around the parking lot, we went back inside and started talking about range, power, and what I needed it for. I teach at two local LA colleges. Gas is constantly climbing and commuting to multiple campuses a day can get expensive. My Sur ron is really for commuting, but I know that I will take it on some trails. I was also very concerned with the hills that I live on. I was already looking an Aerial Rider Grizzly because of its dual motors. But my biggest concern with that was the fact that any type of maintenance support would be located in WA, not a good thing for an LA rider. Luna Cycle is in El Segundo, by the beach and LAX, so getting work done or parts wouldn't have been an issue. Also, just look at the visual difference between a Grizzly and a Sur ron. The Sur ron just looks better and more fun. Ramses was familiar with my area and was very confident that the Sur ron could easily handle my hills. I was very happy with the new information and the experience of riding a Sur ron and I left. I was going to buy my Sur ron! That ride and Ramses' awesome customer service convinced me to invest in my Sur ron. I ordered mine on a Sunday and got the email to pick it up about 10 days later. When I came by to pick it up, I ran into Ramses. He then helped me close out my paperwork and helped my pick up my Sur ron. Then, we discovered my error when he opened the warehouse gate, I had forgotten to select the option for them (Luna) to assemble my bike for pickup. I expressed my lack of mechanical ability to Ramses. So we closed the gate and I met him back in the show room. He came back and let me know that their assembly tech could assemble it for the fee and I could pick it up shortly. So we went with that option and I would come back in a bit. When I returned, my Sur ron was assembled and charging. Ramses, again helped me load up my Rur ron and closed out my paperwork. Ramses' awesome customer service and just being a cool dude, pretty much rescued my initial thoughts about Luna Cycle and helped me choose the Sur ron. I picked it two days ago and rode it down and up my hills. My Sur ron chewed up those hills (from a dead stop) without even losing a single bar. If you have any doubts about getting a Sur ron and you can get to Luna Cycle, then GO TO LUNA CYCLE! You won't regret it! read more

First off I ordered a X-1 In early November, with an arrival date of late December. They called me a couple days before Christmas to apologize that it would be there a couple days after Christmas! I don't give a shit about Christmas, but was very impressed with the phone call. Just recently I had some minor mechanical issues, customer service was excellent and they fixed the bike free of charge in a very timely manner! You are better off just buying directly from China. You'll get your order quicker that way. Luna has little to no customer service. They have no number to call to get someone on the phone to ask questions about a $600 item you want to purchase, and once you ask within their "sales forum", your question will either get ignored, someone will try to talk you into buying something more expensive, and, in the end, you've wasted a week trying to communicate because they refuse to provide a proper level of communication to their customers. You pay extra for shipping, only for them to sit on your package for a week. Paying a premium for something can get in China as a fraction of the cost assumes you get the level of support you expect from a company making a profit off that increase. You get none of that. Don't bother, go direct, be happier. read more

Its easy to get something off of their online site but God help you if you need help, service, spares, or human contact. I tried to call them, I emailed them, I showed up twice to buy some of their specialty products since the prices were fair. Suffice to say, its really difficult to get a hold of them. I thought the advantage of the brick-and mortar experience would be that someone would help me purchase a part but while searching for spares online, I found identical parts readily available on AliExpress for the same price. Horrible place! 2 months later my scooter $2k I paid roughly, V2 died and these yahoos never answer the emails, never answer the phone and when they do the phone guy knows nothing about any product and tells me it is not his dept, No support, no accountability for the product. I drive from San Jose, CA to Los Angeles, CA to get a $50 discount as they would not tell me what it would be over the email. Knowing that I would have them ship it to me. -Gary Luna CS Manager knows nothing and replies only at night. A tech that I was to finally talk to after 30 unanswered emails told me a simple thing to do as I did and told me that he is on call only and does not work for them. My single mode (one motor) has no power and my scooter only works in a two motor mode. There is no manual and I was told to read blogs for details. I am an Electrical Engineer and able to repair most things but with no support or details it is hard. I sent the scooter back and it was refused as I was told the cash buy was a AS IS buy. I was never told that! This places lied so many times to me that I regret ever doing business with them. Please stay away. I am still trying to get my money back. read more

They use an online trouble ticket system and I was able to seek their guidance in ruling out various possibilities. Once it became beyond my capabilities they asked if I could bring the bike in. My Sur-Ron was looked at on Monday and I was called the next morning. The bike was ready. The X edition has put a smile on everyone's face who rides it. 1 STAR ONLY ON CUSTOMER SERVICE. For this review to be fair, I have not received my bike yet since it was pre-ordered. I pre-ordered by bike in beginning of July for "Early August Shipment" as stated on their website. Since its getting towards the end of July, I wanted to see if I could get more of an updated ETA. I called, with no answer, and then got a text message that looked like it was written by someone who couldn't write at all. He said there wasn't a more specific time right now. Later in the day, I get an email from Luna stating that THEY will be receiving the bike on August 15th. Wanting to get clarification, since the website and my order say Early August shipment, I called Luna. Again, no answer and a text immediately after. I asked them to call me directly. I get a call and explain the story. The rep tells me, again, that THEY will be receiving the bikes on August 15th. I tell him that there website and my confirmation is misleading, since it says early August shipment. I am told that Early August Shipment is for them to receive the bike, not me (the customer). I respond by saying that is misleading and ridiculous for them to put early August shipment but tell me that its the timeline for them to receive the bike. Instead of empathizing or showing any kind of care, the rep tells me that he disagrees with me and that everything is clear on the website. As a small business owner, that was some of the worst customer service I've received beginning to end. Hopefully the quality of the bike makes up for the lack of service. I never leave a negative review because I hate to have any negative affect on small businesses, people who treat their paying customers (over 4k) like this deserve to be called out! read more

Generally speaking the X1 is a high performance bike and a good value. however I have friends who have the bike and we have all had repair issues. Inasmuch as they are in LA the only way to get them fixed is to do the work yourself or ship it to them. additionally the service dept is very poor; bad communication and they only work via email so getting information is laborious and time consuming. additionally I was trying to repair one of my friends bike and even though he confirmed he was the additional owner they refused to recognize the warrantee saying it is not transferrable, and the bike only had 79 miles and a gear inside the motor broke!! It takes weeks to get problems resolved and repairs made. Unless you live in the LA area would not recommend the bike and remember warranties are not transferrable which is TOTAL BS!!!!! read more
