Nader is awesome. He went above and beyond to get my ebike working for me. I took it upon myself to try and save some money and buy a bike from China and have it put together locally. Big mistake. Long story short, after trying two different shops that were close to me and giving them 9 months to figure it out, I took it to Nader. He had it working in a few days. I don't understand the 1 star reviews. He is buying Chinese bikes and re-branding them? Yeah, what's your point? Thousands of american companies do the same thing. If you don't want a Chinese bike then go pay twice as much. You have a choice. And for the bikes he does have, he is charging a very fair price. I ended up paying more trying to buy the bike myself directly from China then if I had just gone to Nader in the first place. He put in the time to build a bike, test it and make sure all the parts work together. That is worth something as well. Anyway, Nader and LA Ebike is awesome. This place feels like its dying. Crappy selection. The owner seems sleezy. I did my research about electric bikes and can tell that he is exaggerating claims. They are rebranding chinese bikes the edge and charging thousands of dollars. Buyer beware....do yourself a favor and do your research first. read more

Spent 15 minutes there, test-rode one bike, and Nader said, "my friend, you have to make a selection." Jeez, this is a $2,000 decision and I'm not rich, excuse me for taking my time to make the right choice. That was all I needed, and headed out of there. Extra notes: - Poor quality Chinese battery packs - Reselling low-quality Chinese bikes from Alibaba / Ali Express I'm so glad I went with another local builder/retailer (BMEbikes), which is a five-star business that I can't recommend highly enough. Go with someone like that (Hi-Power Cycles in SFV is another good pro-converter, and Electric Bike Attack in SaMo is a great retailer) and stay very far away from this sleazy operation. read more

What a headache. If you wanna see why this place is never open schedule an appointment and see how annoying the service is when they are open. i went to the website a while ago and filled in the "contact us" form and never got a response, i called never got a response, i showed up the doors were all locked so i gave up on them and bought parts to make my bike an ebike. Last night i called because i was having issues and gave them another try, i left another voicemail but this time i got a call back. i explained my situation and he said come by tomorrow between 10am and 4pm and if you come closer to the morning we can fix it the same day. Works perfect for me because I was going to use this bike to deliver food on the next night. So I showed up at 10:30am, no one was there. I called the number again. He said he'll be right there 5 minutes, so I said "alright I'll grab food and i'll be back", when I came back I seen a guy lock up the door and leave in a white van. I pulled over and called and asked "did you just pull out?" he said yes, that he was going to the post office, he'll be right back. So I said "alright, i'll stay right here". I waited, and when he came back i showed him everything i spoke about on the phone the night before. He said to leave my number and it'll probably be done by Saturday. (it's thursday). I said "well, you said come in the morning and it'd be done today", and he said "and what if the mechanic doesn't show up?" I said "then it sounds like you need a new mechanic" and then he was saying there were a bunch of people in front of me other bikes to repair, and he didn't say any of that the night before, he just said bring it in and we'll fix it the same day if brought in the morning. I reminded him of this. So after some back and forth he said he could push me at the top of the line if i stayed there and waited for the mechanic. I said, "alright, here's my bike, I'm going to go sit in that car across the street if you can do this today." So I waited maybe an hour or less, mechanic showed up said it was my controller, that i needed a new one. He said they had one for $100 and it'd be ready by Saturday. While I was waiting I did some research in case this place didn't pan out. It paid off because most of the controllers i found on Amazon were $30-40. I told him as much. As annoyed as I was I thought screw it, lets see the $100 controller, maybe it's better, maybe he can talk me into it. I asked to see it, he said it was way in the back and would take a long time to get, so I said "what is it called? can I look it up or something, maybe I'll just get that." He said it would take a couple days just to see the controller. He said that just telling me the controller was broken should've costed $85 but he told me for free. I've been to tones of bike repair shops and electronic stores and have never been charged for an estimate. Maybe he was just trying to build value with words at this point because maybe he didn't even have the controller "way out in the back". I have no idea. I gave up. What a headache. read more

Purchased a new lithium battery for my electric scooter. Nader was extremely helpful. The next day, battery wouldn't accept a charge. Nader went above and beyond to rectify the situation, which happened to be a mis-labeled battery charger. His tech even came in on a Sunday to change the charging adapter leads on the battery to fit the new charger. I will definitely recommend LA Ebike to my friends, and go back for any upgrades I need for my scooter! read more

I was helping my son convert a go-kart from gas-powered to electric. We purchased a motor and battery on-line, but quickly discovered that we needed professional help to get the motor connected and working. After calling numerous LA businesses that deal with electric motors for bikes and golf carts, we finally found LA Ebike. Apparently, Nader is the only guy in LA who will help someone like myself with custom work and I liked him from the moment I met him. We needed a quick turnaround with the motor wiring and he delivered on-time. His assistant Joe was also a real pleasure to deal with. Great customer service, awesome selection! I was so pleasantly surprised at how many choices I had for my new electric bike, I had no idea! I have never found a selection like this at any of the bike shops near me and the knowledge, time, and attention from the people here made it a great experience. I've had a few e-bikes for several years now. Needed some service done on my A 2 B Metro and was happy with the results. Went back and had them do some fairly extensive upgrades and the results were impressive. The techs are outstanding. Very cool shop. Located a battery replacement from LA Ebike for my A2B Metro and might be the only place in the US with the replacement. Not only did Nader answer all my questions he even did a video call with me to answer all my questions about installing the new battery. Bought a basic edge ht 350W from these guys it works great. They stayed open late so i could come check out a bike during the week. Although the brakes were a little squeaky and i had to adjust them it works fine. this bike helps out alot with my commute now that i take the train to work read more

Stopped by LAEBikes last visit to LA. Nader and the staff are great. So are the prices. Only improvement would be a larger selection of mid to high end bikes. Other than that, this is the place to buy an electric bike if you live in the area. read more

I don't usually post reviews but felt that Nader and his team at LA eBike deserve to be recognized for outstanding customer service. I have an eBike that was a DIY project. It has been an absolute blast but I ended up burning up the original cheap controller. I reached out to several US eBike companies but none of them even answered their phones. I was forced to leave email requests. Nader was very responsive and reached out immediately. We discussed my problem and he recommended a very affordable solution. It was after closing but he and his staff went back to the shop and shipped the item the SAME DAY! He didn't want me to wait to receive the product. This is what turns clients into raving fans! I received my new controller kit 2 days later and it is being installed on my bike. If you are in the US and need anything eBike, related, do yourself a favor.
