I just discovered this place and it's so good! Reasonably priced, yummy food and drinks! The place is cute, like a mid century modern vibe, and had seating outdoors too. The waiters were nice and attentive. Will definitely be back and have already recommended it to my friends! read more

Luna - Pesto chicken with lentil soup - Tacos Near Me - Bakersfield, California

This is 1 of 5 restaurants owned by a group in Bakersfield. The service at these restaurants terrible, attempted to eat yesterday (8-22) at Luna, it was around 1:30 semi crowded, after being ignored at the bar while waiting we finally got seated, for 20 minutes nobody acknowledged our being, nobody can for drink order or came by to say will be with you in a moment.. nothing, we finally left and went to agave restaurant, they know how to treat customers read more

The Food here is always so good. The staff are always so friendly & attentive! Def recommend.

I have been a long time customer of Luna Bistro and recently I have been disappointed with some of the changes to their menu and pricing. For instance, the prices went up to match the Long Beach location and at the same time the food quantity decrease. For example, their Luna Pollo went from two thinly sliced chicken breast to one sliced which in essence does not fill you up. Same thing with their new chicken and salmon plates, all are nicely decorated but for the price and the portion it's not worth it. I always thought Luna was a bit more affordable than your ZAMA's of the world but with the new changes it's probably more expensive. The food can be hit or miss too, which means that consistency is never guaranteed. I hope Luna gets back to its original start where it had great food, price, and ambience. read more

I always end up here when in town on business. Sometimes I dine in, sometimes I grab to go. I get the ceviche every single time. It's addicting but watch for those tiny chili peppers. They creep up on you. The pastas hit the spot too. Sometimes feel a little heavy afterwards. Service and ambience. On point. read more

Everything about this place is amazing; food, service, and very pleasant ambiance. Always consistent and perfect!! I recently ordered the pasta del mar and oh my, I can't find words to describe how delicious this plate is. Do yourself a favor and try it. I hope Luna is here to stay forever. Don't ever change Luna! read more

I was here rather early, so it wasn't very busy. I was greeted immediately and seated right away. The space is really beautiful and comfortable. Easy place to hang out in. Nice bar area and I love the decor and seating. I ordered a Lunarita in Mango, because it had been a day. It was really refreshing. For dinner I started with the Pollo Luna, which is chicken breasts in a mushroom cream sauce, which was a bit saltier than like, though the ly give you half a charred lemon, which I squeezed over the chicken, asparagus and potatoes. It made all the difference. It was an enjoyable experience. read more

Came in around 5 pm, not super busy only a couple tables dining. The place is super cute and modern but clean aesthetic. Kinda boho woodsy. There was a lot of servers but they were always just walking or talking at the bar, took a while to get a refill. We ordered a mango lemonade and blackberry margarita. The drinks were delicious, not too sweet either. We ordered the díavola shrimp, they were super spicy but insanely tasty. It comes with bread to put them on and it's perfectly toasted. We got the pastor salmon and ranchero de sur. The salmon tasted bland and just had a paste on top, hardly came with any casamiento and was soggy due to the surrounding sauce that I personally don't think complimented the salmon, but was good on its own. The ranchero was very tasty and plating was pretty! It came with a carnitas enchilada which was super yummy, very soft and tender. Honestly would come back but order something entirely different from the salmon. read more

I've been wanting try this place out for a while now...and it's was so worth it. We had to sit in the patio area and it was so windy that day, they did have heaters but I was freezing my butt off. Our waiter was nice and friendly. I had an espresso martini and that was ok. We had the ceviche for an appetizer and that was good, different but good. They had so much options in their menu we couldn't decide what to get. I ending up getting the crispy fried fish tacos and my husband had the sautéed shrimp tacos and OMG they were so delicious we ate them all in seconds. I will definitely be back and I would definitely recommend this place! read more

Tried this place on a Sunday afternoon and it didn't disappoint. The atmosphere is great, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is amazing. Everything we tried was delicious. One of us also had the carnita enchiladas but they dug in before I could get a photo. The burgers looked delicious too so I think I'll try that next time I'm there. read more

Ordered Enchiladas and a coconut horchata, & I can honestly say that it was delicious 10/10. The sad part was the service. It can honestly be better. No sense of urgency on their part. The wait for them to take our order was long, for them to come back and ask if everything was good, never came. Nor did they come again to ask if we needed anything else, so no more drinks, water, or food were ordered. The ambiance was good, very nice inside .... But, they need more space. read more

Would improve the customer service. Went out to celebrate a birthday, ordered some beer when I noticed they we're expired. Instead of apologizing waitress was rude about it. I told the manager and nothing happened. Must of been a family friend. You don't treat people that way. read more

Went to Luna for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We all - 5 adults loved it! The atmosphere, due to the earthy, modern decor was great!!!!! We stepped in and right away felt this, "this is amazing" feeling. The background music was also well chosen. For my taste it was a tad too loud, but I am quite critical when it comes to that. We enjoyed our cocktails! The food was a notch above what you normally get a good Mexican restaurant, delicious! Now, for me, as a woman, the serving size was perfect. I can see for a man it possibly might not be enough. But, to be honest, I prefer that to the enormous portions that are standard at amercan restaurants. So, if you are a big eater, order a appetizer. Btw, the service was perfect. I fell in love with Luna restaurant&bar. It is my new go to happy place! read more

Super good! I loved the overall aesthetic of the place, super nice and looks chill. The customer service was really good as well. Super nice and made sure I was enjoying the food and drinks. Here's a stream of consciousness review for Luna: Awkward wicker chairs in middle of floor Good La Blanca cocktail No refills - not by policy, but because of the magical disappearing server Delicious spicy oleoresincapsicum pasta, but nothing to drink once your glass is empty Fourteen different kinds of lemonade but no iced tea Very loud trance music read more

We've been to Luna 4:times in the last 2 months. The vibe is very cool. Relaxed, with good music in the background. The staff is gracious and knowledgeable about. the menu. The food is quite good. The portions may be a tad too big, at least for seniors. The only thing holding Luna back from a 5 star review from me is a lack of timeliness. From getting first drinks served, to meals, to the check, there seems to be no rush on the part of the staff. We will continue to eat at Luna. My complaint is minor compared to everything else at Luna. Try it!, read more

Every time I come, the food is fresh and amazing! The service is excellent, even when in was there with a really large party!!!

My first time trying Luna and I will definitely be back! I had the Guava lemondrop martini, salt and pepper wings and tacos gobernador. Everything was 10/10. Also, our waiter Jesus was really attentive and friendly he also let us know about happy hour specials for our next visit. We visited on a Friday night and despite being busy we were sat down quickly. Food is amazing but we waited an hour and twenty minutes for appetizers, no refills, and no one came to check on us even they said we saw your family was waiting patiently. So for the first time at a restaurant the food I ordered to eat there I asked to take it to go, that took another 20 minutes and yet no apology. Quick to ask for my money. So I gave them the food back and requested a refund. Disappointed but most of all embarrassed to have wasted my family's time. read more

Stunning restaurant. The food was even better! My coconut milk horchata was delicious. The ceviche is the best I have ever had it had heat and Asian infusion.
