I was randomly searching on google for a local canvas printing vendor to enlarge one of my photos of LA. Canvas Memoirs comes up and I decide to email Yong regarding a quote on a 40x60" canvas (size not listed on their website). He responds immediately with a quote and I tell him I'd be interested in stopping by to check out some sample work. I stopped by during my lunch and Yong gladly explained the various sizes and frames they recommend for large prints. We agree on a 40x60 on a 1.5" frame. A few days later I receive a call saying my sample print was ready for approval. A few days after that, they call and tell me my canvas was ready for pickup. Upon walking in I spotted my print and man, was I impressed. It felt like everything i worked up for up until this moment was summed up in that one canvas. Great prices, quick turnaround and quality prints! Not much more you can ask for. I dropped off my image file on Monday morning, a rep sat down with me and went through the options. One concern I had was if they were going to wrap the print it will cut off some of the image, they addressed that before i even brought it up, I was in and out within 15mins, the service was very good. I didnt expect the canvas to be done until later during the week, but Tuesday noon I got an email saying that it was ready. I came to pick it up and was out within 5 mins. Customer service was great. I tried asking questions of several other companies first and got NO response at all! So it was a relief to be able to email tons of questions and get very quick replies. My file was too big for their online uploader, but they had a quick, easy alternative. The turnaround was super-quick! Other companies listed times like 2 weeks, and my order was pretty much done in a day! And they shipped it overnight for their low set-rate. It was well packed and arrived in great shape. I plan to paint over the image and I had no problems putting acrylic Matte Medium over the image--no bleeding or any disturbing the image at all! I ordered the 32x48" wrapped canvas on 1.5" stretchers. It's all very sturdily assembled. I got the dust cover and wire-hanging, which looks fabulous (thought I might mess it up with my painting... it will still look nice--it's a covering over the back for a more finished look). The printing was very nice--looked very much how I expected--actually, BETTER than I expected given my file. Colors/contrast not shifted or anything like that. Cons: The surface was a little delicate... I bumped a bit off the edge... but as I'm painting on it, this won't matter--just be very careful when handling it! I'm actually glad I'm putting a layer of Matte Medium over it, because this will totally protect it. This wasn't the cheapest price for canvas prints online, but I felt it was still a very good price and gladly paid a little more for the quick turn-around, good shipping rate, good quality, and great customer service! I'll definitely be using Canvas Memoirs again! read more

I wanted to find a local place to print an irregular sized image (10 x 13) instead of using one of the many online services. After searching the Internet I came across this company. I went to their website and saw that for a irregular sizes you need to send them an email. I sent them an email and waited two days. The email came back undeliverable as the email address they have on their website is incorrect and belongs to the previous company name. I called the company to follow up and let them know their email address on their website is incorrect. I tried for two days calling and could only reach their voicemail. I'll continue to try to contact them but it appears the transition to Lumaprints caused a few wrinkles - on top of an already trying situation with the virus. I'll likely have to order my prints from an online service as most in the area, including Lumaprints, don't seem available right now to handle any new business. read more

I was looking at several photo service centers and businesses before deciding on Canvas Memoirs. I wanted a canvas print as a birthday present for a dear pastor and friend. I was concerned with the quality of the canvas print due to the low resolution of the photo. When the website did not list the minimum resolution requirements for the 20 x 30 size I wanted, I sent an email. I expected a reply in a day, but was pleasantly surprised when they promptly emailed me back listing the recommendations and offering to look at the photo. I sent the file and again he promptly emailed me back showing me an indication of what the print would like it if was stretched onto the canvas at 20 x 30. Since this was a time sensitive project (I needed the canvas print by Saturday), I asked when it could be ready by. Yong quickly replied back that I would be able to pick it up Friday as long as I got my order in and approved the proofs by end of Wednesday. Very satisfied with the service, I placed my order on Tuesday. The same day, I was emailed a preview of the canvas print. The preview showed that the photo had to be cropped a little bit to fit the canvas size and what the print would look like stretched and bound. Yong kept me informed throughout the entire process and emailed me with updates with printing, stretching the canvas, and when it was ready to picked up. As promised, the canvas print was ready to be picked up by Friday. I was very impressed with the speed at which Yong worked. Another place I looked at required 5-6 days just to print and stretch, excluding the delivery time. Since I live close by, I drove to pick it up at their gallery. Since it was sprinkling outside, Yong wrapped the canvas print in shrink wrap to ease my concern even though the canvas print was waterproof and offered to carry it to my car. I was really nervous at the outcome of the canvas print. When I saw the print, I was absolutely delighted with and loved it. It came out perfectly just the way I had hoped in high quality and tightly stretched and bound. I couldn't wait for my pastor to receive the gift. I'll never forget how happy he was when he unwrapped the canvas print. His face just lit up and he said it was such a thoughtful and meaningful gift. Thank you Canvas Memoirs and Yong for helping create such a joyful memory~ My experience with Canvas Memoirs was phenomenal. Yong, the owner, was very helpful, polite, and professional. Canvas Memoirs printed a 30-canvas picture project showing children and their activities at our school. We had bid the job with 5 other companies. They beat everyone at every point, including quality of materials and price. But the most valuable part of this job was CM's communication - they answered every phone call, every email and had a detailed answer for every question, something we could not find even dealing face to face with our local printers in Florida. The prints arrived individually wrapped via FedEx on time and in perfect condition and each piece was rendered as proofed with perfect color and sharpness. I'm not sure if Norma is one of the owners or if she's just a caring employee, but she deserves a RAISE! I actually heard about Canvas Memoirs on Friday, 10/17 from our engagement photographer. We just received our photos on Monday and our wedding is next Saturday. I was extremely worried about the lack of time we had to get some canvas portraits printed, but I ordered two 20x30 canvas prints on Monday night and hoped (wished/cried) for the best. Norma contacted me the next morning to discuss my prints - she told me that the type of frame I chose would cut off a portion of my fiance's hand and recommended a thinner frame. I really appreciated the extra care and QC, she actually CARED!
